One Ordinary Citizen-Democrat on Team of Rivals __SoS Pick of President-Elect Barack Obama __Hillary among the Men as "Speculative "
I and the rest of us who are too amazed by HRC chatter SoS, ask P-E Barack Obama, how would HRC mean international relations and national security council and foreign policy CHANGE Senator Barack Obama promised us in the Primary and in the General Election?
So, now I am intrigued and still as unsettled as many of the rest of us may be by the platform of P-E Obama that is informed by Doris Hearns' Team of Rivals__the Abraham Lincoln strategy of a cabinet composed in part of pols who were Obama's fiercest rivals.
I surf, I think, I say, why not a hard-working, smart enough, woman pol as secretary of state to follow in footsteps of Madeleine Albright and Condoleezza Rice? As part of NSC, a huge operation responsible for national and international security of USA citizens, led by the President at the last buck, a secretary of state HRC who voted for Iraq war and believed herself preferable President and postured tough grand-stand to obliterate Iran is NOT to be "rejected" by myself and the rest of us who believe in the ability of our new President to bring CHANGE WE CAN BELIEVE IN.

Surfing AOL.com yielded a slideshow of Obama administraton, 45 speculatives and done deals, mostly speculatives, that look very solid; sources for compilation are AP CBSNEWS ChicagoTribune CNN.
The first up is Hillary Clinton, SoS, speculative, and on this one I conclude Hillary has the job because__
Lion of Senate Ted Kennedy and the big boys on his committee have shut Hillary out __her name will NOT go on the health legislation that will satisfy the Obama platform. Her push for chairman of her own subcommittee under Kennedy was “no go”.
Hillary’s name is NOT speculative for H&HumanServices Secretary BUT Gov. Kathleen Sebelius is speculative for H&HSS AND Education secretary AND Commerce secretary AND Energy secretary__four speculatives for Sibelius! Without doubt O wants Sibelius in his cabinet!
Hillary’s one speculative is SoS! No health legacy for Hillary 16 years later. So, Obama has thrown her in with the men under consideration for SoS_ Hillary’s fierce, smart! Why not? Obama has to offer Hillary a good job now that Kennedy shut Hillary out of the health enterprise which Hillary thought surely should belong to her.
Hillary is labeled "speculative" for SoS among all of these men who have power creds __Hagel, Richardson, Kerry, Lugar(has passed) and Ret. Marine Gen James Jones also a former NATO supreme allied commander. She speaks no Russian like Condi or French like Kerry, Hillary speaks English most fluently, decisively! BUT, Hillary may trump the credentialed men, since Secretary of State is beginning to look like a woman's plum job after Madeleine Albright and Condi Rice.
Why Obama will pick Hillary, bypassing all these men of stronger real creds than Hillary__1. Obama knows Hillary’s a fierce competitor after the long primary 2. He even sought her advice when he entered Senate 2004 3. Obama knows she’s smart, hardworking, ambitious, a real wonk 4. He watched her working for him in the GE campaign really hard, on message 5. Obama’s best instinct about Hillary now is she will tow the line, work even harder as SoS for him because Hillary wants to be the best in what she does and 6. Hillary looks to win legacy and leadership in the new Obama administration that she did not attain in Bill‘s two terms. 7. She will head up Foggy Bottom and go on world stage, giving her high political visibility. AND 8. lastly, Obama knows Hillary is almost as cunning as Obama; she still has that woman block; he owes Hillary for not fighting him at Denver; and she will not challenge him 2012 if his SoS.
Other women public servants have been secretary of state. Comfortably, then, Obama can pick her over the men because SoS is kind of a woman’s job after Condi Rice and Madeleine Albright. Hillary has celebrity, but not the same kind as Obama. Celebrity helps, Obama knows. Why not tap Hillary Clinton for SoS to replace Hill’s loss health legislation leadership to lion of the senate Ted Kennedy?
Obama is justified that he the rookie, he the underdog, wrested the nomination from Hill, Bill, and the rest of them, all while they were saying Obama CAN’T WIN and Obama’s NOT ready for Commander in Chief but maybe ready to be Hillary’s VP! TALK about team of rivals! I downloaded Team of Rivals from librarynet.org via my public library __an audio that I can listen to while I do my housework. Entertaining. Informative.
(When Senator Obama signaled he would run for presidency too (after getting some tutoring under Senator Clinton) must have been a nuisance challenge to Hillary, an annoyance, but not any real threat. BUT soon around the senate behind Hillary’s back there was the word, “Don’t tell mama, I’m going with Obama! LOL, some senators called Hillary mama behind her back as a former lst lady. In the WH with Bill, Hillary was the BIG GIRL since she presumed herself co-president to the Bill.)

Mirror reporter tells it like this--
"This moment - this election - is our chance to keep, in the 21st century, the American promise alive.
"We are here because we love this country too much to let the next four years look just like the last eight. On November 4, we must stand up and say, 'Eight is enough'.
Supporters, black and white, cried as he opened his address with the words: "I accept with profound gratitude and great humility the nomination as candidate for President of the United States." It was an occasion seeped in history - exactly 45 years after Martin Luther King's "I have a Dream" speech. It was also four short years since Obama, a little known Illinois senator, began his meteoric rise.
Chicago Tribune tells it like this--
Democrats make history behind Obama
Hillary Clinton leads push for nomination by acclimation; former president declares Illinois senator 'ready'
By Jim Tankersley | Chicago Tribune correspondent
10:36 PM CDT, August 27, 2008
DENVER — Democrats swept away more than 200 years of history on Wednesday and nominated Barack Obama for the White House, a milestone punctuated by former President Bill Clinton's declaration that the first African-American standard-bearer of a major party "is ready to be President of the United States."
(Hillary) urged Obama's unanimous selection "in the spirit of unity, with the goal of victory." Delegates roared their affirmation and the longest, most contentious Democratic primary fight in over a generation came to a congenial. . . . halt.
SIGNED SEALED DELIVERED and ready to REALLY battle and defeat McCAIN!
BARACK OBAMA 44th president of the United States of America and heir to JFK Camelot. . .WJC.
Joe & Jill Biden, A Wonderful Obama World Welcome!
Everybody's happy about TEAM OBAMA BIDEN but MCCAIN.
Charismatic, saavy Obama and vigorous, wise Biden look a photo repeat of good days of JFK and LBJ.
So CHOOSE YOUR VP, McCain! Hillary's WITH Barack in the GENERAL ELECTION. HAVE YOU FORGOTTEN THIS?
And, why cannot McCain promote his agenda for governance and what he offers the American people? He just goes blah blah Georgia and Russia conflict AND passes out tire pressure gauges __ NO, tries to SELL tire pressure gauges with Obama's name on them for $25 each to voters who need that $25 for GAS. More McCain sillies.
As for Hillary in the Primary and her efforts to beat Barack with her chosen attack statements, THIS IS NOT THE PRIMARY, McCain, THIS IS THE GENERAL ELECTION. This is about Obama and Biden vs. MCCAIN and veep you have stall picking months!
CHOOSE YOUR vice president. Why you choose your veep will be YOUR BUSINESS. Why Obama chose HIS WAS AND IS HIS BUSINESS.
What's the matter? YOU WISHED FOR HILLARY on the Obama ticket so that you can trash Hillary and Barack with words Hillary provided from the PRIMARY contests between Hillary and Obama.
You would not choose until Obama chose. Well, Barack Obama has made his choice. And thank goodness, THIS Obama/Biden looks like a "dream team" that will give McCain/VP an honest, hard-punching, righteous fight based on the OBAMA blueprint of governance this country and we the people need at home and abroad.
Mind your business, McCain, choose your vice president and stop worrying about the choice Obama made.
MAYBE you ARE WORRIED about going up now against OBAMA and his most wise choice of Senator Joe Biden of congressional clout and expertise and real vigor at age NOT 47 BUT 65. AND REAL national and international EXPERIENCE of 35 YEARS, unlike Hillary Clinton who was offering fantasy national and international experience of 35 years like ducking fire on her Bosnia mission.
We are proud of Senator Hillary Clinton's contributions to the Barack Obama Campaign for Change and the fight for White House by the democratic party and the rest of us.
Hillary is finished fighting the PRIMARY, so should you have finished, just choose your VP.
GMcCain, get busy. How hard you will find it to make a choice to rival the TEAM OBAMA BIDEN '08!
Getting Over BITTER Denver Convention Distractions
By Roselen Hope - Aug 20th, 2008 at 3:10 pm EDT
MAY THE BITTER DISSENTERS COME TO TRUTH AT THE DENVER PARTY
Greetings Hillary Rodham Clinton Primary super delegates, supporters and fans. What exciting times, what stressful times, what bitter times for some who cannot accept that Hillary Rodham Clinton lost the primary race to Barack Obama on her own steam, NOT DNC, NOT OBAMA.
If Hillary had the "won" delegates to compete with Barack, the Hillary bitter people would seem less disagreeable to me, an Obama supporter. Had the supers gone with Hillary, indeed there would have been a selected primary winner __she DID NOT have the count of won delegates, even with her BIG STATES that now go strongly for Obama such as CALIFORNIA, my state. (Primary or caucus delegates won are delegates won. After the fact, why are we disparaging caucus voting? If caucus voting had been a tool Hillary camp managed well, there would be no move to end the caucuses.)
She lost on Super Tuesday. With the Clinton name she should have demolished the up and coming junior senator from Illinois Barack Obama. Period. She did NOT. Period. Barack Obama had twenty-first century strategy.
Yes, HRC has staunch bitter fans going into Denver. Sad. She lost. She lost on her own steam. Barack Obama came up from under dog and defeated her WITHOUT the support of a former two-term president WJC.
What disturbs me most about the state of things going into Denver is that Hillary people blame unfair treatment for her loss, which was not and is not true. BUT, Barack continues to be the brunt of treatment as an ethnic candidate, a candidate not 100% Euro American.
Most disturbing to me is that in the latter contests the Hillary camp attempted to remake the DNC rules to HER advantage AND frankly, very frankly William Jefferson Clinton campaigned like a crazed surrogate and former president and spouse of Hillary. Bill I estimate won at least 40% of her "hard working white" vote for Hillary in the rurals.
Of course in the eleventh hour with WJC campaigning everywhere in S. Dakota and claiming Barack Obama got others to slime Hillary and that Barack Obama put a "hit job on me" -- this said on Philadelphia radio the morning of the PA primary helped Hillary. Hillary had formidable surrogates in PA but Barack DID not lose double digits__accurately 8 or 9 points as reported officially in PA!
BUT __On a wing, a prayer, and much grassroots support, Party, independent, republican voters, Senator Obama with a great vision for new governance in Washington; graced with tremendous talent, strategy, stamina, and a most perceptive 21st Century assessment and Obama fashioning a paradigm of the new world order at home and abroad with a blueprint to turn a new page in democracy at home __to CORRECT the a wrong democracy at home under republicans __ failed democracies abroad __ Barack Obama will prevail. CHANGE is on the wind and citizens are embracing the Obama participatory democractic governance model he has mounted Election'08.
Hillary Clinton and camp could NOT swiftboat Barack Obama and NOR will John McClain offering tabloid attacks on Obama and his WAR stories of experience of the world 40 years ago as the blueprint for the 21st Century citizenry that has become so participatory under the grassroots campaigning of Senator Barack Obama and his Obama for American network.
I do hope that the bitter Hillary gang will NOT be allowed to disrupt the rules and policies of DNCC at Denver. I am a voter of years and I do believe, most unfortunately, that NOT sexism BUT racism mostly has been tainting the primary and the Denver convention going forward this most extraordinary 2008 Election.
Again, given all of her tremendous political support and the two Clintons, former president, against Barack Obama, the new political presence, Hillary lost the primary on her own steam.
May the dissenters come to truth.
I emailed super delegates via lobbydelegates.com yesterday in response to their reminder that participants have just a few days to make final mailings to supers before Denver Convention__Here's the text of my email to CA list of Hillary supporters, list of Barack supporters, and the list of uncomitted super delegates posted on website lobbydelegates.com:
MAY THE BITTER DISSENTERS COME TO TRUTH AT THE CONVENTION

Of course in the eleventh hour with WJC campaigning everywhere in S. Dakota and claiming Barack Obama got others to slime Hillary and that Barack Obama put a "hit job on me" -- said on Philadelphia radio the morning of the PA primary helped Hillary.
BUT __On a wing, a prayer, much grassroot support, Party, independent, republican, Senator Obama with a great vision for new governance in Washington; graced with tremendous talent, strategy, stamina, and a most perceptive 21st Century assessment and fashioning a paradigm of the new world order at home and abroad and a blueprint to turn a new page in democracy at home __ wrong democracy at home under republicans __ failed democracies abroad __ Barack Obama will prevail.

I am a voter of years and I do believe, most unfortunately, that NOT sexism BUT racism mostly has been tainting the primary and the Denver convention going forward this most extraordiary 2008 Election.
May the dissenters come to truth. Hillary was allowed to modified the rules for Florida and Michigan__she should have received NO count by the rules NOR Barack Obama.
If Hillary had the "won" delegates to compete with Barack, the bitter people would seem less disagreeble. Had the supers gone with Hillary, indeed there would have been a selected primary winner__she DID NOT have the count, even with her BIG STATES that now go strongly for Obama such as CALIFORNIA, my state. It is time to commit to Senator Barack Obama, although Senator Hillary Clinton can have her showtime: She fought so fiercely, but has thrown support to Senator Obama now that we are in the General Election and he is the Party nominee.
It is time for Hillary fans to stop waging the Primary race against Barack.
Good luck.
So much sound and fury but signifying NOT very much__barackobama.com is a wide open site that may be entered by anyone with computer access. There is no moderation of opinions__so, what?
How many of the 150 million and counting supporters who embraced Barack so passionately in the Primary are really so rabidly attacking him on his changed FISA position now? I would wager NOT a significant many of the true blues; I would wager many are "trolls" and new to site with their political axes to grind and they can easily grind them for free.
Bloggers at barackobama.com ARE NOT Barack's strategists nor are the dissidents a true force that can affect the FISA stance of Senator Obama. They are interesting, but not of an true potency to influence Senator Obama, I would wager.
It seems to me that many of these Constitution thumping FISA-bashing Obama and outraged barackobamaians and "trolls" mistakenly believe they have a power they just do NOT have to shape the Obama General Election strategy.
There will be no "standing for change we can believe in" UNLESS Barack augments the PRIMARY TENT supporters with millions of additional supporters who may not look exactly like the original barackobamaians or pseudo ones.
Ideas and policies are not just "left" and "center" and "right" or RED or BLUE. Where were all of these FISA-upbraiders when Senator Obama expressed this philosophy? Senator Obama intends to be a very BIG TENT President: He will re-vamp Bush policies that can benefit the American people. If faith-based programs structured Obama Brand can impact lives for good, why not? So what, if Bush did a variation of faith-based that did not work__the Obama vision is to re-shape faith-based to truly complement public education that needs all the help it can get -- BROKEN schools are crying for HELP!
CONSISTENCY IS THE HOBGOBLIN OF SMALL MINDS, I think Emerson said.
Barack Obama is strategizing to WIN: he's taking steps to broaden his base from the Unity, N.H. kitschy thing with HRC, reaching out to WJC, to policy modifications and expansions.
As Barack is breaking down some policy walls between Red and Blue, many Obamaians are "bitter" and rejecting of the NEW BARACK OBAMA in General Election campaign as NOT the OBAMA we loved in the Primary.
I don’t expect to see Barack Obama in the General Election fight he is now mounting capitulate to the self-righteous indignations of my.barackobama FISA backlash any more than I expect Obama to accept a veep NOT in his governance paradigm because crazy ladies, petitioners, self-interested operatives are pushing on him hard and in numbers with their petitions.
Advice__Count up the ways you stand with Barack Obama in the General Election campaign against your FISA disappointment, determine if you will abandon your first love over the FISA and Faith-Base and Campaign Finance. Make no mistake about it that Barack is in the General to win it and that will mean that the Barack Obama vs John McCain will not look precisely like the Barack Obama Vs. Hillary Rodham Clinton.
Obama is NOT making "mistakes" of positions. Obama is strategically widening his appeal to the RED and the BLUE. Many FISA-Barack bashers are confused __ would be, wannabe, policy makers of the OBAMA TEAM INNER CIRCLE.
THEY can spew forth their opinions and make demands of Senator Obama, but I would wager to no avail. THEY are entitled to express their thoughts by petition on the very wide open site barackobama.com.
If some decide to withhold their assorted donor dollars, they are within their rights to do that too.
Yes, we are invited to own a piece of the Senator Obama for America campaign, but we were never promised that for our participation we can determine how Senator Obama should strategize in the Primary campaign against Hillary Clinton NOR in the General Election campaign against John McCain NOR whether Senator Obama could modify his positions on public finance or guns or FISA.
Senator Obama and Obama for America invite your discussion of issues on barackobama.com __even all the rantings taking exception to his own policies__ which show him to be the diplomat par excellence and not one to muzzle dissent on site.
"A foolish consistency is the hobgoblin of little minds, adored by (the) little statesman ..."__
Emerson
Part 3
I think we should all know that outside bloggers are promoting the my.barackobama anti FISA position of Senator Barack Obama like Kos et al according to thehill.com. The link is below.
So, we have a lot of sound and fury from within and without that is so big because of the outside bloggers participation. In my opinion, again, all of the dissenting tumult will dry up and blow away in time because Barack Obama and Team Obama are no drama and will strategize this GE against McCain and formulate policy positions in the best interests of the need to win the White House and the protection of the American citizenry. FISA is not the economy nor Iraq nor essentials of all Americans having ability to access appropriate health care resources as required and children and youth receiving opportunity for viable education in preparation for 21st century living.
RE: Post primary loss, The Group waits for Obama to show Clinton 'respect' By Max Pizarro

Hillary Clinton’s top fundraisers in New Jersey want Barack Obama to offer their vanquished candidate the vice-presidency in a show of respect . . .
"If I don’t see the respect for Hillary Clinton, I will vote for him, but will I be a proactive person? No," said John Graham, national co-chair of fund-raising for the Clinton campaign and one of the money men in that small and powerful circle of Clinton fundraisers in New Jersey known as "The Group."
"Respect is offering her the position with her right of taking it or not taking it," Graham explained. "He can win without her. . . .
http://politickernj.com/max/20762/post-primary-loss-group-waits-obama-show-clinton-respect
. . . . .
Like Graham, several participants in yesterday’s conference call said they’d be loathe to go all out for Obama unless Clinton is on the ticket. Asked today if Clinton wants to be vice-president under Obama, Graham said, "she’ll take it."
Sen. Bon Menendez (D-NJ), one of Clinton’s most active supporters, also likes the former first lady for vice-president. However, he said attention must be paid to Obama’s decision-making process, and Democrats need to give him some room.
"I respect that John and others feel passionately about Hillary Clinton," said Menendez. "But there are many ways for Barack Obama to show Hillary respect. Making her vice president might be the ultimate way. He’s got to go through this process.
"You can’t have pressure on Barack Obama," Menendez added. "That almost works against the ultimate goal, because then his choice of Hillary Clinton could be interpreted as him being pressured into doing something - and if he can be pressured into doing that, the sense would be that he can be pressured into a lot of things."
Graham insisted he agrees with the senator. He doesn’t want to apply pressure.
"His issues are our issues," he said of Obama. "But after two years of this, let’s face it, we can’t just curl up and pretend everything’s ok. We can heal the party and heal the world, and Barack’s picking Hillary for vice-president would show strong, well-respected leadership."
A reply:
No, Jill, he is not.

I wholeheartedly agree with what YOU have said here. But that is NOT what John Graham is saying.
Respect is deserved for the Senator and the voters
posted by jill Iscol
John Graham is simply expressing the sentiments of millions of people --18 million people voted for Senator Clinton. Barack Obama would like our support....he needs it and is asking for it but we have issues and concerns that need to be addressed by Senator Obama and his campaign before he will gain our full support. He needs to prove that he is the unifier he claims to be by uniting our party. Showing respect for Senator Clinton is just the first step in that process.
06/19/08 11:24 am
Graham isn't looking for Obama to praise Clinton's dedication, seek her advice, give credit for the work she's done, rebut her detractors and try to unify the party. That would be seeking respect. What he's doing is demanding that he offer her the VP slot, and implying that any other choice is disrespectful and unworthy of Democrats' support. That's not seeking respect. That's just a slimy political power play.
And the idea that the only way Obama can be a unifier is to take her as VP is not only illogical, it's laughable. Choosing Richardson would show an awful lot of unity with Latinos. Choosing Chuck Hagel would show an awful lot of unity with Republicans. Choosing Bloomberg would show an awful lot of unity with independents. I could go on, but the point is that there's one VP slot. Even if you believe that expressing unity is the most important function of VP selection (I don't and I doubt you do either, but that's another discussion) you can't use it to show unity with everybody. Listening to these arguments is like the fricking All-Star game. Everybody was snubbed, but you know, there are only so many positions on the damn field.

IMO, THIS IS Hillary-tainted drama circling Obama __ the Thursday meeting is about getting her on the ticket as much as about getting her primary debt paid off. And LESS about raising $$$$ for the Obama GE.
[Her fat cats will not pay into an Obama led GE unless he agrees to pay off the Hillary primary campaign debt_cited yahoo.com news, etc.]
MORE__THE GROUP of NJ vetted candidates Biden, et al carefully early in 2007 and finally chose Hillary as their sure thing to win the democratic nomination POTUS.
Now THEY are NOT at all willing to settle for doing the right thing and moving on to nominee OBAMA; and just sucking it up after spending tons on Hillary. From Obama the WINNER, the Group intends to "buy" veep for Hillary the LOSER.
John Graham does come close to saying in this politickernj.com June 18 item THAT the Group should demand Obama show Hillary "respect" with his veep offer__and she'll take it.
Otherwise, the GROUP will be most reluctant to support an Obama led GE with financial backing.
Hillraisers were NOT happy after their meeting with Obama Campaign top aides last week; apparently Obama Campaign top aides were NOT talking quid pro quo. Will Obama, to get the Hillary donors?
Barack Obama is the consummate strategist and politician. He demonstrated that by his long, tough, strategically fought fight with Hillary in the primary phase. He prevailed over the Clintons and the ubiquitous Clinton machine, astounding Bill and Hillary.
As a "Standing on Change we can Believe In supporter," active on barackobama.com, I would have to get over Barack's playing the old game in the GE.
I think Barack will go for the money and play quid pro quo with the Group and other "fat cats."
Hmmm. This is interesting.
I wonder what Barack would think of this Dick Morris read.
What about you?

AN URGENT NOTICE TO Obama for America HQ and All of the Rest of Us:
No, Senator Clinton is not appropriate for VP. She wants too much to be President. Senator Clinton has much work to do, re-packaging Hillary as an Obama supporter now.
In the heat of primary, Hillary was a say anything do anything opponent of Barack.
Now it is time for Hillary directed by Obama campaign strategists to create AD SERIES:
HILLARY, OBAMA's PRIMARY OPPONENT /
HILLARY, OBAMA's GE ENDORSER
It is most urgent that the Barack Obama Presidential Campaign get busy immediately and do damage control of the do anything say anything campaign speak attacks Hillary waged against Barack in the heat of Hillary fighting her primary opponent Barack.
Desperately Hillary tried to wrench the POTUS nomination from Barack's hands, and her character assassinations of Barack reflect and offer much rabid fodder, now being put to use by McCain campaign.
Senator Obama, strategist of excellence, will take the measure of McCain/VP before his own VP decision.
In my opinion, Hillary nor women pols McCaskill or similar will not serve his needs.
Baracks needs a savvy male pol with "heft" not an emotional and lacking in stability Senator Clinton. Heft would equal military creds and foreign relations creds. A Joe Biden, e.g.
Her speech was excellent, but I have no idea if what she spoke was indeed what she meant.
Senator Clinton is not known as one whose "speech" is considered her "bond".
She is however an excellent and smart politician. But, she proved herself also during her primary fight with Barack as a say anything do anything politician to win votes and delegates who lacked vision.
She never considered that when she praised McCain over Barack that Hillary would be defeated by Barack. Her primary tactics lost Hillary SD's.
I've not forgotten Hillary linking FL and MI voters debacle with fraudulent elections in Zimbabwe. Have you?
As I read events prior to this Saturday exit speech, Hillary ended her "quest" to wrench the nomination from Obama because New York pols led by Rep. Rangel told Hill on Wednesday to move on__
Otherwise there would have not been this Sat. exit speech. LOSING IS PAINFUL when in the beginning you carried INEVITABILITY
No, Senator Clinton as smart as she is lost all of her inevitability because she lacked vision, strategy, and "honesty". She lost her bid for nominee POTUS and she will not be selected for VP, if Senator Obama looks at her total behavior and stance in terms of the traits he has been promoting for the new politics.
[I really think Barack has a huge problem with the Barack-bashing Hillary did during the primary; McCain has collected three pages of this bashing on his website to be made into Ads.
And Bill did his share of bashing too.
The latest came the day before the last June 3 primary. This is on tape:
Bill, in South Dakota, Monday, the day before the primary was working small crowds falsely accusing Barack of getting other people to "slime" Hillary so Barack would not have to ___ he mocked him with uh uh the speech mannerism of Barack!
He did not know the stalking reporter taped him__the same one who taped Barack and created bittergate.]
What do you think? Barack defeated Hillary in the primary, in spite of her verbal bashings. But how will the bashings play out when McCain turns them loose in the GE?
Senator Barack Obama, you have been made so great a blessing to so many by our Father God.
And I am still standing amazed since first I learned of the possibility of a new political dispensation in the United States of America: The new governance you have been chosen to usher into us at home and abroad.
The IOWA CAUCUS news came to me in my Maxwell Park Home Oakland CA as tremendous near unbelief. IOWA! Immediately I called my generation X-er son in NYC to spread the news, get his feedback.
Just six months ago vacationing Fire Is Long Island New York I said that I didn't know when your name was thrown into the chit chat.
But now I know: At last, an candidate who comes to the fore 21st Century America in God's images of multi-people of the United States of America.
The democratic nominee standing for change we all can believe in is BARACK OBAMA of African and European heritage, born not in rural South nor urban North, but out in the Pacific Ocean_Hawaii.
TO EVERY ENDORSER__ President Jimmy Carter and all of the rest of the superdelegates who bring the count down to 27.5 to go__
Thank you for your vision of an President Barack Obama, the 44th, coming to bring a new political dispensation of governance to the peoples of the U.S.A. and of leadership of the United States of America around the world.
God Bless America
God Bless the person, vision, work of Senator Barack Obama.
May God give Barack wisdom as he contemplates and selects our vice president and cabinet members who will aid him in his governance of the USA.
[I hope I will not be disappointed in any choice Barack makes, particularly for the ticket.
I am trying hard not to be hostile but right now I'm disconcerted to say the least because the mutterings about the VP choice smacks of a lot of condescension__YOU need ME! And, really, I, not YOU should be top of the ticket! So, I'm not done yet.
What do you think? I'm posting this comment on my blog too. Please visit. Share on this. In the large blogs reflections get buried fast.]

Voter Registration Drive of Barack Abama Campaign has been mounted.Internet and on the ground volunteers across America will replace one by one any loss of the Hillary angry "woman block" and angry "white" rural and "downscale" worker block with an OBAMA DEMOCRAT: YES HE CAN! YES WE CAN! YES HE CAN!Hillary, give it up! Your bitter fight of triangulation, the crazed talking points you spread across the trail stoking bigotry and anger among "woman" block, "white" rural and downscale block is POISONING democratic base and damaging Party. Hillary did not take Barack out on SUPER TUESDAY as she and Team Hillary expected because too many Americans REJECT and DENOUNCE another Clinton WH.The savvy OBAMA team read that 2006 political WIND !Clintons did not believe their looming loss: But freshly-minted Obama campaign though double-teamed the Clintons --Chelsea tossed into the mix--prevailed. BARACK OBAMA and TEAM OBAMA will not SURRENDER to the Clinton Machine they have broken.THE CLINTONS WILL NOT BE GIVEN the nomination. THEY FIGHT FOR NOUGHT. White House days of Clintons have ended.
The old Peter Paul suit is live and well in Los Angeles and Hillary's sworn deposition has been delayed until after election by a WJC-appointed judge!
Huffman email:AA (CA) SENATOR BARACK OBAMA SUPPORTER_ HRC_ Angry Hillary "Woman" Block PART1Delegates should be seated EQUITABLY. Remember rules are RULES. MI, FL BROKE the RULES and penalty was set.
QUESTIONS for Ms. Huffman:
Would a block of voters known as the angry "woman" or angry "black" block be mobilizing, descending on DNC, to seat the penalized MI and FL, if Obama were in the position where Hillary now finds herself?
What has Senator Clinton's looming defeat in the race to do with the seating of MI and FL?
Yes, breaking the rules at the endgame COULD cloud the position of Senator Obama as frontrunner on threshold of securing nomination.
Senator Obama has prevailed over the CLINTON BRAND and machine of thirty-five years, in spite of the newness of the OBAMA PHENOMENON, 21st Century-minted.
THE CLINTONS should be "presidential" enough to know that this is NOT a schoolyard fight-- and the stoking of the emotions of blocks of the electorate to win "penalized" votes for CLINTONS is destructive of PARTY unity to contest the Republicans in the GE.
If the electorate was determined, MRS. CLINTON would have cakewalked the nomination on Super Tuesday by landslide over Obama AS TEAM HILLARY expected.
This is the CRUX of seating MI and FL and BREAKING RULES for Senator Clinton and her "angry" block of women supporters.
IF Senator Clinton won the landslide she expected to achieve on Super Tuesday, seating, not seating MI and FL would be moot, now, is not this so?
YOUR DECISION should be impacted by many prongs:
(1)equitable treatment of all of the voters who supported Senator Obama and brought him to the threshold of securing the nomination;
(2)to honor or dishonor DNC rules made for '08;
(3)to bow to demands of Clinton angry "Woman" block for full seating of penalized delegate vote that WILL GIVE the now losing Clinton an increase in her delegates and popular vote;
(4)to cloudy the finish line of the Primary that was set by vote of the DNC at the beginning of the Primary '08.
Governor Paterson of New York, also a Hillary supporter, stated his decision in the NY POST--rules stand; Hillary is showing "desperation."
Mrs. Huffman, the angry Hillary "Woman" block to descend on the DNC on January 31 represents a tool of the Hillary Campaign to delay, stop, the inevitability of her loss to Senator Obama.
Please, Ms. Huffman, seat the delegates in AN EQUITABLE FASHION. But, PLEASE remember rules are RULES. THE TWO STATES BROKE the RULES with full understanding of the penalty.
ALL candidates for the nomination for POTUS--now, SIGNIFICANTLY, Senators Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton surely must have understood the rules to which THEY BOTH AGREED along with other candidates and DNC officials.
Here is my truth and the truth of rational democrats or those leaning to the Party Election '08:
NO CAKEWALK AFTER ALL, ENTER SENATOR OBAMA:
THE '08 PRIMARY was joyful UNTIL Senator Obama WON S.C. AND then 11-STRING WIN.
RED PHONE CALLING: All hell broke out in Clinton Campaign.
Mission: Destroy Obama Phenomenon by any means necessary AND now we must get those illegal votes from MI and FL into Senator Clinton's numbers!
The '08 PRIMARY turned on a dime and became GROSSLY UGLY and grows UGLIER day by day--and thank goodness for JUNE 3--as TEAM HILLARY CLINTON and former president Bill Clinton try desperately on the trail and the stump to prevent the ascendancy of Senator Barack Obama to the nomination.
CHANGE RULES, DNC, HILLARY' NOT WINNING "AS IS" THE METRICS are fully against the CLINTONS except DNC rules made at onset of the '08 PRIMARY are now destroyed to ACCOMMODATE the CLINTONS. THE ISSUE at stake is NOT voters of FL or voters of MI.
The ONE issue IS a CLINTON issue: Senator Obama won front runner status up from very underdog. Senator Clinton threatened by HOPE-CHANGE MOVEMENT -- Her cakewalk to the nomination vanished.
POISONING of the Democratic Electorate: Will the DNC endorse what the Clintons are doing--STOKING REBELLION among blocks of voters--WOMEN--hard-working White people-- to cloudy Senator Obama's success in achieving frontrunner? Pure and simple THE CLINTONS on the trail this date are stoking "stuff"--before PA, WJC, HRC, and Rendell were saying Obama should be Hillary's VP; now Hillary's been disrespected, Hillary's just trying to win, neither can win delegate majority, if we move the goal posts, rearrange everything at END of primary!
RESPECT:
Senator Obama has treated Senator Clinton with more respect than she deserves, I think, considering the utter discourtesy she has publicly displayed toward Mr. Obama numerous occasions. Right after S.C. and in the midst of the 11-string wins, Senator Clinton began to imply supporters of Senator Obama WERE REALLY DELUSIONAL with her baiting taunt: GET REAL, GET REAL, GET REAL!
And Clintons on the stump "endorsed" McCain whenever they "measured" the Obama candidacy. Hillary, the DNC will apply "NUCLEAR OPTION" maybe:
THE CLINTONS are stirring up DNC FL MI in HILLARY CLINTONS favor after the FACT: CLINTONS want to prevent the VALIDATION of Senator Obama 's elected delegates total and the super delegates total that Senator Obama has won BY the DNC RULES: He now is 45-48 delegates away from 2025 ORIGINAL TOTAL REQUIRED.
CHANGE THE RULES, CLOUDY ASCENDANCY OF Senator Obama:
SOMETHING is radically wrong in DENMARK when suddenly Senator Clinton is contrasting and comparing, indeed, holding up the FL and MI DNC problem as comparable to VOTER DISENFRANCHISEMENT of BLACK Americans--particularly WOMEN in the American South.
ALSO, HILLARY suggests that fraudulently held elections in third world countries such as the African country ZIMBABWE are just like the MI FL vote she NOW NEEDS to cloudy Obama's frontrunner standing. Recently on HuffPost.com there were comments from Zimbabwe person DENYING any similarity between the American FL and MI vote count and election in Zimbabwe.
REPEAT: This has been an extraordinary campaign '08 we must agree because of the entry of Senator Barack Obama into the race. The entry of Senator Obama has turned the race on its ear and on its head, we all know.
No Senator Obama, the Clintons would have been a shoo in again to the White House--NO CHALLENGER!

Obama mania
He is the natural political heir to Bill Clinton. But can Barack Obama overtake Hillary to become America’s first black president? By Sarah Baxter

The handsome, athletic 45-year-old is the new wonder boy of US politics. From being "Whatshisname, Alabama? Yo, mama?", as he likes to joke, he found instant fame when he spoke at the 2004 Democratic convention, where he easily outshone John Kerry, the ponderous presidential nominee. A few months later he was elected to Congress as senator for Illinois, and he is now toying with making his own bid for the White House, to the consternation of Hillary Clinton, the Democrat frontrunner. Could he push her aside and become the first black president?
The French celebrity philosopher Bernard-Henri Lévy thinks so, and identified white voters’ attraction to him in his new book, American Vertigo, wondering if Obama would be "the first black man to understand that you should stop playing on guilt and play on seduction instead? The first one to want to be America’s promise rather than its reproach?"
....Obama is a 21st-century politician who personifies the American dream of a melting pot where anybody with talent and courage can succeed. As an African and an American, as opposed to a descendent of slaves, he is free of historical hang-ups. He can cite the famous phrase in the Declaration of Independence about life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness and not sound corny.. Throw in the line that all men are created equal, and people get positively weepy. He is as inspirational as John F Kennedy and as optimistic as Bill Clinton, without the Monica baggage. To cap it all, he is a churchgoing reformed sinner, having dabbled in drugs as a young man. He is determined to appeal to America’s powerful Christian lobby, which was critical in securing George W Bush’s success, and to prove that faith need not be the preserve of the right wing.
......If Obama stands, most observers expect him and Hillary to go head to head. "I don’t think there is a lot of room for anyone else," said one leading Democrat. "The two of them take up an enormous amount of political space." Already, however, a former adviser to Bill Clinton is suggesting Obama can drive her out of the race. The polls show that the prospect of Hillary in ’08 is not making any headway with independents and swing voters, and many Democrats believe privately that she is unelectable........
