I am confident that people are listening to the Clintons as they are starting their negative antics again. Hillary Clinton calling Obama a plagiarist. Every speech she makes she uses Obama's talking points.
I am thankful that my candidate, Sen. Barack Obama, isn't stooping to her level. I am glad he is defending himself, but very glad he doesn't believe in slinging dirt! Let's support his style and not use her negative tactics!
... We'll become the change we want to see in the world!!!
For many years I have worked to get people to get Fired Up over Public Policy and more specfically voting. We worked every year to try to do outreach to get more and more people to caucus and to the polls.
Sen. Barack Obama has the leadership has had the leadership to actually do it. Today, we will have more people turn out to the caucuses and primaries than any time in our history. Sen. Obama has the capacity to change our country. Let's enjoy this History Changing Day!
Happy Caucus Day!!!
We only have a few days left! Please, please talk to your friends, let's get folks to the precinct caucuses! I am so excited, we are so close to serious change!
If you don't know about caucuses, I have a few trainings go to my events!
FIRED UP! READY TO GO!!
Good rebuttal of Hillary's charges, but having this in the news (there have been a number of articles over the last few days) is never good... -Neil
However, now let's look at all of the Clinton Friends - unscrupulous and those that are honorable that they are getting them to support them by calling in all the favors.
Suddenly, an old friendship forged on the streets of Chicago is threatening to make new waves in the Democratic presidential campaign.Hillary Clinton's charge this week that Barack Obama represented a Chicago "slum landlord" in the 1990s introduced to a national audience one of Obama's potential political vulnerabilities: his long ties to Antoin "Tony" Rezko, the once-highflying developer soon to go on trial in federal court.
This last few weeks of Clinton attacks reminds me why I had so very many problems with Bill Clinton - he felt he was above being held accountable for his behavior. His bad behavior was okay because of the wonderful things he did for the country. Okay, let's talk about welfare reform ... that in itself should have had more consequences, but let's talk about, "Don't ask, don't tell." That was and is embarrassing.
I for one am very happy that Sen. Obama is holding them accountable while not stooping to their level!
Most messages labeled "About last night" would suggest regret, recriminations, or just sheepishness about behavior viewed in a more clear-eyed way in a new morning.
Not so the memo from Hillary Clinton's campaign, which is not backing away one iota from the raucous and at times heated exchanges with Barack Obama during Monday night's debate in South Carolina.
I liked that Sen. Obama addressed not only the issues, his ethics and addressed her half truths.
I spoke with one of my sisters today and she asked the simple questions many folks are asking - Do you really think Barack Obama can win? The simple answer is, Yes. The hard reality is we are ALL going to have to work hard to make sure we make the phone calls, knock the doors, and educate our neighbors on Presidential Preference balloting.
If we are all educated, and we do the hard work of talking to our neighbors, yes Obama will win Minnesota!
I met with a group of feminist women a couple of days ago. we were trying to figure out what the message should be from those feminists 50 and over that are strongly supporting Barack Obama. After talking we realized that the traditional fractionalization is something that Sen. Obama is working to change. We also realized that this movement is one of hard work and incremental gains. So, trying to craft a "message" in reaction to a perceived threat by HRC was the traditional political activity.
If changing the world were an easy task, it would have been done long ago. It requires a dedicated leader and a community organization that is dedicated to respectfully educating for change and continually examining self.
I believe we are steadily moving forward to positive and lasting change!
We are just 3 weeks before Super Tuesday. I am going to work to make sure that undecides are aware that Obama has the capacity to:
* Change our image with our allies to regain their respect
* Strengthen America overseas
* End the occupation of Iraq and bring a sense to our defense spending
* Change the way things get done in Washington D. C.
* Unite the country -- not divide!
We need to stress this isn't rhetoric, this is the way Sen. Obama conducts his life!
[James T. Morgan has put these talking points into a flyer]
Obama Gains/Clinton/NH Polling: AP. “Hillary, Obama in N.H. tie” -- Democrats Hillary Rodham Clinton and Barack Obama are locked in a dead heat among New Hampshire voters in a statewide USA Today/Gallup Poll, underscoring the volatility of the race less than three weeks before the nation's first primary. Among Republicans, Mitt Romney's lead has narrowed to single digits over Sen. John McCain of Arizona, who hopes to repeat the victory here that ignited his presidential campaign in 2000.The poll has Senators Clinton and Obama tied at 32 percent to 32 percent, with former North Carolina Sen. John Edwards at 18 percent. The fundamental finding is uncertainty: More than four of 10 voters in each party say they may change their minds before the primary.
Obama/Edward/527 Attack Ads: Sun Times (Lynn Sweet). “Obama Slams Edwards”-- Barack Obama's campaign is increasingly concerned about whether anticipated spending by third parties -- known as "527s" -- for John Edwards and Hillary Rodham Clinton for television spots will hurt him in Iowa and the other early-voting states. On Friday, Obama sent an e-mail to supporters deploring third-party spending for ads, mailings and phone calls. On Saturday in Iowa, Obama urged Edwards to denounce a group run by his 2004 campaign manager, Nick Baldick, that is working on Edwards' behalf. In the days before the Jan. 3 Iowa caucus, Obama is looking over his shoulder at Edwards.

Obama/ Sioux City Journal/ Endorsement: Sioux City Journal (Editorial-Board). “A common good and a higher interest” -- The morning of Jan. 20, 1961, dawned under a bright sky. Despite a heavy snow, the blinding sun’s reflection forced poet Robert Frost, 86, to put aside the copy of the inaugural poem he had prepared and instead recite from memory “A Gift Outright.” Barack Obama is the Democratic candidate who best understands this critical moment in our nation’s history. He is equipped to bring a fractured people together and possesses the gifts to move us forward, united with a common mission, ready to answer that call. That is why we are endorsing the U.S. senator from Illinois in the Jan. 3 Iowa Caucuses. Obama is a gifted orator. Yet, his skills extend beyond the stage of political theater. He has demonstrated a deep understanding of the challenges, home and abroad, our next president must confront. His record in Congress and the Illinois state senate indicates he has the ability to reach out to Republicans and Independents to identify sound, bipartisan solutions and take on special interests. Now, more than ever, is the time to do the hard work that will get Barack the nomination. The Iowa Caucus is only 16 days away and we still need to contact thousands of Iowa Democarats and ask them to caucus. Help our supporters spread the word of why Barack Obama should the the Democratic Nominee by joining us on our Saturday trips to Iowa!
Star-Tribune -- Bob von Sternberg “Obama snares new Minnesota endorsement”: Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama snared a new Minnesota endorsement today, winning the backing of U.S. Rep. Betty McCollum. "Senator Obama is a leader I respect and has sound judgment on the most important issues facing the nation," McCollum said. "That judgment is desperately needed in the White House." She also cited Obama's longstanding opposition to the war in Iraq: "I voted against giving President Bush a blank check to wage a war of choice. Many others in this race signed that check."
Obama/IA Women’s Vote: Women E-News (Jeff Fleischer) “Iowa Women Jostle Obama Ahead of Clinton in Poll”: With less than a month to go until Iowa's first-in-the-nation Jan. 3 caucus vote--and the New Hampshire primary just five days later--a new poll suggests that women in the Hawkeye State are propelling Illinois Sen. Barack Obama to the head of the Democratic field and giving former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee a strong push too.
