Is Hillary really going to take care of the blue-collar, working American? She is certainly working her appeal to the RICH PEOPLE ...http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2008/04/30/hillary-clinton-takes-on_n_99524.html"One of the more heated policy discussions came over taxes. O'Reilly demanded to know how much Clinton was going to "take out of my wallet," and when she listed a series of proposals to aid middle class families, O'Reilly interjected. "I'm not middle class, I'm a rich guy." Clinton responded (in an awkward moment), "Rich people, God bless us. We deserve all the opportunities to make sure our country and our blessings continue until the next generation."i

Obama 2008 and 2012
As reported by MSNBC ...
The senior advisers said the campaign was in serious financial distress, alluding to the latest Democratic filings with the Federal Election Commission, which showed that Clinton was running in the red, while Obama had $42 million in cash on hand.
Clinton acknowledged the money gap in her victory speech, urging supporters to go to her Web site and contribute.

... and this was interesting ...
“If Senator Clinton has a legitimate chance to win the nomination, then she has every reason to stay in. But if her only strategy is to try to tear down Senator Obama, then I think that will make a lot of Democrats uncomfortable,” Axelrod said.
Clinton's campaign is out of money and they are operating now in debt.
This is an indication of her lack of fiscal responsibility no matter how they explain or spin it.

Look at the support from ROME, ITALY!
All over the world, Obama supporters are gathering on famous bridges to celebrate Barack Obama's ability to unify and reach out to others--to make bridges. Today several of us in Rome went to Castel Sant'Angelo Bridge to show our solidarity with Obama and the world. I've uploaded about ten of the photos I took today at Castel Sant'Angelo to the CNN website. You can find them at http://www.ireport.com/docs/DOC-11108
Yes We Can. Obama 2008 and 2012
From the comments on the CNN political ticker ...
Here is an actual poll among readers of the conservative german business daily Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung:
39113 Votes!
49,64% for Barack Obama 20,36% for Hillary Clinton 15,68% Think that all three would be better than Bush 14,32% for John McCain
That is a pretty clear message from abroad…

The filmmaker Spike Lee, in New York Magazine, weighs in on the presidential race:
What do you think of Obama? I’m riding my man Obama. I think he’s a visionary. Actually, Barack told me the first date he took Michelle to was Do the Right Thing. I said, “Thank God I made it. Otherwise you would have taken her to Soul Man. Michelle would have been like, ‘What’s wrong with this brother?’ ” Does this mean you’re down on the Clintons? The Clintons, man, they would lie on a stack of Bibles. Snipers? That’s not misspeaking; that’s some pure bulls***. I voted for Clinton twice, but that’s over with. These old black politicians say, “Ooh, Massuh Clinton was good to us, massuh hired a lot of us, massuh was good!” Hoo! Charlie Rangel, David Dinkins—they have to understand this is a new day. People ain’t feelin’ that stuff. It’s like a tide, and the people who get in the way are just gonna get swept out into the ocean.

Now that we're long into this race, it's interesting to see something from before Iowa.
Clinton and the planting of questions ...
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jsf0oaSdkyw&NR=1
"In early October, an Iowa reporter asked Obama why he was not wearing a flag pin on his lapel, as many politicians do. The Illinois senator said he wore one shortly after 9/11, but later decided to show his patriotism in other ways.
"After a while, you start noticing people wearing the lapel pin but not acting very patriotic,” he said then. “My attitude is that I'm less concerned with what you're wearing on your lapel than what's in your heart. You show your patriotism by how you treat your fellow Americans, especially those ones who serve."

Emmanuel Cleaver seems to be moving a little closer towards Obama, or at least realizing that he in all likelihood is going to nab the nomination.
Please consider writing Representative Cleaver and appeal not only as 5th Congressional District voters who help Obama win this district, but as concerned Americans and Kansas Citians who - like most of us - want to do whatever is possible to unify the party so that we can change the politics of the last 8 years.
Please share your story and your hopes for the greater future, and ask him to consider endorsing Obama.

Read the small print below each of the charts.
Keep in mind that the average donation of the Obama campaign is $109. And that (as of a month ago) only 3% of Obama's contributions have been the maximum amount; while only 10% of Hillary have NOT been the maximum amount.
Obama has also not taken any money from lobbyists, PACs nor special interest groups.
Also, Obama did not loan his campaign $5 million nor take $10 million from his Senate campaign.
In the state our country is in right now, we need someone who can make something out of literally nothing.
These numbers are truly astonishing! This is the man I want budgeting the country's (and my!) money!

The voter turnout in most (all?) states has been record breaking. Obama is the KING of registering voters AND getting them to the polls. Now, Clinton is accusing him of wanting to stop people from voting ... ? Is she crazy? Is this part of the "Kitchen Sink Strategy"? What is this? It makes no sense. What will this woman say next?
Laughable is the comment the Obama camp said. And so fitting.
Yes We Can. And We Are. And We Will.

Obama picks up ANOTHER Super Delegate endorsement!
Thank you, Sen-MN Amy Klobuchar!

If you have not had the opportunity to watch the video of the Bronx High School's students' reaction to Obama's speech on race ("A More Perfect Union"), I encourage you to take the less-than-10-minutes to watch their reactions and their enthusiam!
It's nothing short of amazing and awe inspiring to hear these students - some of whom might not even be old enough for the 2012 election much less the 2008 election! - hear how they are not only hopeful about the future but are inspired to actually DO something to facilitate change.
I think their words say it all ... please take a look! :)

Obama 2008 & 2012
In reference to the passport snooping story that's unfolding ...
Obama said Congress should be part of any investigation.
"When you have not just one but a series of attempts to tap into peoples' personal records, that's a problem not just for me but for how our government functions," Obama told reporters in Portland, Ore. "I expect a full and thorough investigation. It should be done in conjunction with those congressional committees that have oversight so it's not simply an internal matter."
From http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20080321/ap_on_el_pr/obama_passport
He is calling for the investigation to be open and transparent, not - as he puts it - 'an internal matter'.
This is the type of government Obama is advocating.
I would also say that this is a good example of his leadership ability. Don't you?
