Emotions are raw right now... But...
Some of us are being sore winners and we need to stop!!!
After a tough primary fight there is one last contest before the Presidency... We have to unite this base. We have to welcome and actively court Senator Clinton's supporters. Put yourself in their shoes right now... they were as invested in her as we were in him... Imagine if it appeared to us that Superdelgates had felt that 'guilt by association' or so many of the challenges President Obama had faced in this primary would ensure his losing in the fall and they en masse defected and anointed her the winner... (The point is not whether or not such a practice is justified, fair or well within the rules** We had rules on our side in MI/FL just as well - Superdelegates can exercise independent judgement) We won... Our candidate created and executed a plan to win... His plan heavily relied on 'We the people,' fighting for him in our neighborhoods, online, volunteering, phone banking and donating what we could... We filled arenas and outdoor events giving him a profile against the most successful political family in recent Democratic history. At times we failed in accepting his leadership and humility in carrying out these tasks. We returned the vitriol when it appeared that our opponent was being unfair and vengeful. They were old politics and we are new... Well now let's prove it... We are the change we've been waiting for and we've identified a leader that we've been waiting for... Now let's create the world we've been waiting for by taking his example and creating space for these disaffected supporters to come on board... And though I don't think myself she will be added to the ticket... But if that's his choice... his judgement in this campaign has shown me at least that he can develop the plan and execute it to win... We are the change we've been waiting for...
Leadership. Wisdom. Humility. Change. Yes We Can... Yes We Did... Thus far...
Finish the game.

An excerpt from the speech that put you on the National scene President Obama... Please fight hard and stop being defensive about your vision of a more perfect union for all Americans...
"Now even as we speak, there are those who are preparing to divide us -- the spin masters, the negative ad peddlers who embrace the politics of "anything goes." Well, I say to them tonight, there is not a liberal America and a conservative America -- there is the United States of America. There is not a Black America and a White America and Latino America and Asian America -- there’s the United States of America.
The pundits, the pundits like to slice-and-dice our country into Red States and Blue States; Red States for Republicans, Blue States for Democrats. But I’ve got news for them, too. We worship an "awesome God" in the Blue States, and we don’t like federal agents poking around in our libraries in the Red States. We coach Little League in the Blue States and yes, we’ve got some gay friends in the Red States. There are patriots who opposed the war in Iraq and there are patriots who supported the war in Iraq. We are one people, all of us pledging allegiance to the stars and stripes, all of us defending the United States of America.
In the end -- In the end -- In the end, that’s what this election is about. Do we participate in a politics of cynicism or do we participate in a politics of hope?"
You spoke these words... Now use this challenge to define yourself... Your opponent is appealing to the politics of fear to define you... So will the Republicans and some pundits... But if you hold those words true you will be okay and 'We the people...' of these United States will remain steadfast behind you... Yes We Can change Washington... Yes We Can... Change the World.
