This is where I can bring a little bit of the warrior mentality to the campaign. While I see the value in turning the other cheek politically when an opponent attacks, to allow those attacks to fester and somehow morph into perceived reality is folly. Didn't we progressives learn anything from John Kerry's feeble campaign in 2004? The Swift Boaters should have debunked and sunk within days, not after the damn election! As soon as they questioned Kerry's war record the stealth arm of the campaign should have struck back with calls for "Where was George?" While Sen. Obama is too classy to mix it up with the likes of Rush, Hannity and their brain-dead minions, I'm willing to do it. I've got the truth on my side. That's all I need.
