THIS IS CRITICAL.
I noted on the blog after PA that Hillary is doing well because she is courting the base. I wrote that Barack needed to get out the middle and low income black vote. The article is from Time is very distributing.
Barack, you are dissing your base. This is what happened in Philadelphia. You can't win if Blacks don't come out in high numbers. Our votes are important too.

Good Morning Obama Family,
It’s wonderful to be in the great states of Indiana and North Carolina. Oh, about last night. Yes, lost PA but it was Clinton name and democratic machine that had us at a disadvantage. Not to mention the rough month we had with Rev. Wright, “bitter-gate”, and the assault or 3 or 1 tag team during the ABC debate.
Actually, we should have lost by 30 points. But we didn’t. And now this it’s morning, guess what…NOTHING HAS CHANGED!
We are still ahead in the delegate count. We are still ahead in the popular vote. We are still ahead in most states won.
PEOPLE we are not running for senior class President. Barack Obama is running for President of the United States. It will not be easy and there will be more difficult days ahead. We must remember it is not about us or about “her” (I won’t say her name today” or John McCain (the person we really should be fighting). This fight is about changing Washington politics and working for the American people.
In November we will be able to overcome the 10 point deficits in the Ohio and PA with the right message, running mate and the American people not wanting a Bush third term.
Keep your heads up and be encouraged. At a time like this, I am reminded of a spiritual song by James Cleveland called No ways Tired. The song goes…
Stay focused. Remain strong. Donate! Call!
Nothing can hold back the voices of millions calling for change.

Hi everyone! As of 7 pm this evening, we have nearly 700 women from out of state signed up to join women in PA to help get out the vote for Barack next weekend! Thank you! The PA campaign is nailing down a site for the pre-canvass rally this weekend! It’s probably going to be an early rally (9 am), but I promise that the speaker will be worth it! We are working on a site that will accommodate parking for busses and cars alike.
