I love to go into AOL Christian chatrooms when I have the time. I don't care to chat, but to observe the conversations on the monitor. I love to sit back and watch the show.
I would guestimate 80-85% of Christians love the choice John McCain made for Vice President on his ticket. The statement I read most often is "I bet Obama is sorry that he did not choose Hilary Clinton to be his Vice President" . Personally I feel he made the right decision. His reasoning being the experience for years that Biden has and if sickness or death came to Obama, the Democrats would have a Vice President that can lead.
The Christians for the most part love Palin. She is young, beautiful, witty and Pentecostal. That balances out John McCain in the areas he lacks. But what will happen if McCain wins, and the cancer flares up or he even dies? Is she ready to lead? Well I think that any person with any intelligence and logic knows the answer to that. People claim that Obama is not experienced. Palin is in preschool next to Obama's record. Are these people that naiive? Is it the fact that she includes God in every statement she makes the marketing tool? Is the fact she is Pro-Life, yet at the same time Pro-War? It seems that the Republicans want those babies they save to grow up and be in the Military, to send them to their death. I don't get it. Maybe I'm not suppose to. But God help us if John McCain and Sarah Palin win in November. We as a nation will need all the help we can get. Our superpower days will certainly be over, if they aren't already.

Abortion.......we are certainly reading and hearing alot about this controversial subject in he media, especially because of the Rick Warren hosted forum with Obama and McCain tonight.
For me, it is very difficult to pinpoint is is a legal way to murder a fetus or a legal way to end an unwanted pregnancy, or a way to end a situation in which a teenager can't come to their parents for guidance, then it is a quick resolution so the parents won't belittle the teen for the rest of their life.
We have all heard" live in the moment". Basically, that is what I do. I try not to look back and I don't look too far ahead. I am accountable and a responsible person. I am an ehical person with principles. I am also a spiritual person not of an organized religion. I was raised Roman Catholic and even as a child of 7 years old, I used to vomit from a nervous stomach everytime I had go into the confession booth. I actually made things up and wrote them on a piece of paper so I would be "legal".
That was 43 years ago and I have evolved so much since I cut the apron strings with the RCC back in the late 90's. I feel free and it is an awesome feeling to experience life and base my truths on my experiences, rather than the words of a book.
Abortion is wrong says the Christian churches, yet in the Catholic church, you cannot practice birth control, only through abstinence or the "rhythm" method. Well one time, when I was barely 18, I thought I was pregnant. I weighed the options and there was no way I could ever tell my mother and father. I would have let them down below hell and I would been crap in their eyes, because to them I was almost the perfect child. It would have broken their hearts way more than the pain I endured. So I chose abortion as the only option at that time.This was in the mid 70's. Fortunately, I wasn't pregnant. But one of my friends were and she chose the abortion route. She was 18 in college...the father was 16 and a sophomore in high school and a different race than she was. You talk about taboo!!!!
Does anyone know for sure when the soul enters the physical body? My personal belief is right before the baby is born. Others think at the time of conception. Think about this...why do we say we have three children and another one one the way, instead of saying we have four children? Why don't we count them as a dependent on a tax form until after they are born?. Why isn't there a funeral or a memorial service when a woman has a miscarriage?
What about these mothers and fathers who abuse their children...some even leave their babies in garbage cans, etc. What's the deal with that? What about a rape victim who gets pregnant during the crime? There are countless scenarios and each person chooses what path they take when they face the dilemna.
I really try to live in love, peace and unity. But it is not always possible. It is very difficult to raise a child on minimum wage. I believe when the judgementalists do that than there would a better understanding of why females choose abortion. I could go on and on and write pages about this.
I will say, however, I cannot judge a person's actions until I walk in their shoes. My own flesh and blood has had three children out of wedlock. We support these grandchildren and as long as my husband and I are alive and breathing, they will not go without the neccessities and love that we all as humans need to give another. I also believe there is perfection in everything in life, even if we don't understand at the moment.
Is abortion right? I abortion wrong? I honestly cannot answer that because I despise the terms "right" and "wrong". There only is "what is". If abortion is banned, and a female wants an abortion, she will find a way. If abortion is legal, it will always be considered as murder. I guess through my eyes at this place and time, in this moment, nobody wins, considering all the pros and cons. I am very happy to say I am so blessed to have 2 children, their spouses, and 6 healthy grandchildren.

Well the time has come to celebrate Senator Obama's birthday. On Aug 4, is probably the biggest birthday he will ever have. I have personally sent him a birthday card and many groups are donating money. The Goal----> is to have the most money raised in a single day of his campaign in his honor of his birthday, from all of us standing beside him. Some are giving $47.00, some $8.04, and personally I don't care if it is a dollar. Collectively we as a united group can accomplish this for him and make his birthday one he will never forget!! I am looking forward to Saturday to find out exactly what the decision will be concerning the Florida and Michigan delegates. She is so desperate, the thought of losing just might put the Clinton clan to go over the edge and get out of the race.. Oh well, only time will tell.

This woman does belong in any elected or appointed positions. can you just imagine what would happen if she was elected Predident?
