If the President just has to have a Republican as Commerce Secretary. At least we know that Powell won't back stab President Obama because he's getting heat from his party. If this Greg Judd or whatever his name is, knew he was going to crumble or chicken out because of slack from his party, he should have never accepted the job. This has no reflection on the President but it says a lot about how low the Republican Party will go to get attention. They think by saying "NO," to everything makes them a party of what, exactly? The American people are hurting and the only thing they are doing is making things difficult for President Obama because they know he wants to be bipartisian but they are being unreasonable.
I hope that President Obama cuts the tax cuts from this Stimulus Bill to 22% instead of 42%. This was a favor to the Republicans. Sen. McCain said the other day tax cuts don't stimulate the economy---no kidding. Since less that a hand full of Republicans are voting for the bill now, the President has nothing to loose by cutting the tax cuts down.
It's a known fact that for every $1 spent on infrastructure would = $1.59 towards the economy. For every $1 spent on food programs would = $1.73 towards the economy. For every $1 spent for tax cuts would = $1.02 towards the economy. I'm not saying to elimate all the tax cuts but don't cut out the infrastucture and food programs that exceed these tax cuts.
We need what's going to stimulate the economy not politics as usual. I understand that President Obama wants Republicans but they "Are trying to find themselves," as they put it---at the expense of the American people. They cannot even begin to care about the people in their districts. I know, they won't get re-elected if they vote for the stimulus. Well, once most of their district is out of jobs because of their failure to help them it won't matter.
So I hope President Obama keeps the right parts of the Stimulus and stop trying to get brownie points from the Republicans because this is what they do---Bush lives on

TAMPA - Election Day isn't even here yet, but we already have our first voting mystery. Thousands of pages of voter information were found lying along the shoulder of Interstate 4 this morning.
The papers, all with information about Hillsborough County voters, have been cleaned up and taken to a Department of Transportation maintenance facility for now, but voting officials still don't know where they came from. Transportation workers spotted the nine bags of documents on their traffic cameras along a ramp off I-4 and I-275.
The Hillsborough County supervisor of elections says it did not come from his office, but looks like it may have come from a campaign office or a grassroots effort which drives voters to polling paces. The documents contain names, addresses, phone numbers, and party affiliation, and if the voter needs a ride. Transportation officials have called the Florida Division of Elections to see if the state office wants to investigate, and are waiting back for a response. If not, the plan is to shred the documents this afternoon.
Let's make this happen ...
YES WE CAN!!
Arizona and Montana may be possible to win....
YES WE CAN!!!
on the Rachel Maddow show tonight as well as on the Nightly News. He gave core substance as to how he wants to lead America. Calm, cool, and collected as always.

This was an awesome rally. Both Obama and Clinton were excellent......Substance, competence, class, and intelligence all in one. Bill said it right, Obama as the right---

Decision Making Skills
and will be an excellent Chief Executive Executor
"During the 1990s, while he served as chairman of the International Republican Institute (IRI), McCain distributed several grants to the Palestinian research center co-founded by Khalidi, including one worth half a million dollars."
McCain gave $500,000 to Rashid Khalidi----and Palin is out there in my state--Ohio---LYING her A** off about Obama..
This campaign is such a disgrace on so many levels. Everything they try to accuse Obama of---they've already did it and did more of it. They are IGNORANT, LIARS, and CHEATERS...nothing they do is surprising.
Differences of opinion is welcome and healthy to a certain degree but when you do it in a way that preys on the ignorance of people, thats quite another thing.
I beleive in giving everyone the benefit of the doubt but just lying because you can is not putting COUNTRY FIRST....it's putting yourself first.
In Arizona Obama is basically tied with McCain.......McCain is leading by only 2 points...46-44.
We can do this!
So-Called Socialism-----Two words.......Roosevelt and Reagan.
Teddy Roosevelt, a Republican, was very much an advocate of what's called progressive taxation and that is that the rich pay more than the poor in terms of taxes. Now, one of the most effective popular programs we've had in the last three decades is called the earned income tax credit. It's a program where if you're a working person, a working couple and you're below the poverty line, the government will actually give you money. That's a redistributed program. It's a program which takes money from the upper classes and gives it to the lower -- to the working poor. Now who started that program? The earned income tax credit? Ronald Reagan. It was an achievement of the Reagan administration that Bill Clinton then built on.
Now back to McCain calling Obama a Socialist; if Ronald Reagan is McCain's Hero, is McCain now calling Ronald Reagan a Socialist too along with Roosevelt?
Just knock down the lies with the truth...spread it....and talk about it...
This is totally awesome!
YES WE CAN!
YES WE WILL!
said, Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz. Nicely put. This is what the McCain campaign represents now.
A former congressman on Hardball who was apart of corruption in Washington and who had to step down just called Obama a Radical Socialist.... talk about embarrassing...
The Obama camp should use as a counter-attack to this Socialism claim.
As we all know there are uninformed people out there who will believe anything and those who just like lying, in either case I don't think Democrats have answered this question in depth... So here it is (paraphrased)
