My views of life from someone who cares.
What are you thinking?

I've been following the bail-out talk since this has started. Now, the goverment wants us to bail out WallStreet for $810 BILLION DOLLARS!!! It could go up even higher! Who do you think your fooling? I am so tired of our elected officials acting like the average AMERICANS are fools! First I hear how terrible everything is and it will cost $700 Billion dollars to fix this mess. Then the price keeps going up! They are padding this spending spree with crap. You are trying to make enough politicians happy by adding enough extras to squeeze out enough votes. If the economy is this seriously messed up BE honest with Americans and cut out all this extra spending. This great country needs people in office who really cares. You can't run your own home on what you wish you made. There comes a time to face reality! Just figure out the price tag without any pork barrel spending. I mean bare knuckles. And, what is the plan to repair this and turn things around? How are Americans suppose to trust you now? Make this right, please. I can say one thing- this time when election day comes I will know how every vote was cast. If Americans feel like we are being taken for a ride I will vote for the other guy.(by the way, the CEO'S of all these corporations should be held accountable. None of them have a right to any kind of bonuses or padded pay packages.)Take that money to help with the bail out.

How could this be?

I just don't get it. All these companies are falling. What does congress suggest? Throw 700 billion dollars at the problem. There is the basic problem with that. You want to give bonuses to the CEO's and throw money around. In my view, there is no more money for bonuses. The people in charge should be held accountable for losing so much money. Everyone makes it sound like we are talking about a couple thousand dollars. I can't hardly grasp people losing 700 million dollars!!! You want to bail out these companies by buying up their bad debt. The people who has all of these bad loans still don't have the money or the jobs to pay these loans. There is still no money to collect. The jobs are gone over seas. Then I find out companies are getting tax breaks to have their companies overseas!!! What is wrong with this picture? I may be a factory worker from Ohio but I am not stupid. I can see some big problems with all of this. This crisis should not be put on the shoulders of the average American people. We need answers. NOT a band-aid.

Didn't see that coming

Sure didn't see John McCain picking a woman for vice president. I am pleased by this. My vote is still up in the air. I need McCain and Obama to lay out their plans in a way all Americans can understand. Stop the pointing fingers about each other. It is now time to stand up and behave like adults. How are they planning to fixing this mess George Bush has made of this country. What happened to We the people, For the people, By the people? This is our country. It is time for this country to become great again. We want to hear how they are going to help Americans. This time it is too important.

I cannot wait to see Obama acceptance speech tonight. What a way to see history in the making! I'm glad my kids get to witness the night. I also have to say how impressed I am with John McCain's commercial telling Barack Obama CONGRADULTIONS!!! on tonight. Now that humbled me. No matter if your Democrat or Republican today we are one united.Amen.

Did you see Hilary?

I was amazed with Hilary's speech. It really made me see how amazing she truly is. She would have made this country proud if she was elected President or even Vice-President of the United States. Obama should have humbled himself and asked for Hilary to run as his vice president. Last night had to be one that a lesser person would have failed at. If we truly wanted to stop McCain and really make this election count-the democratic ticket should have Hilary Clinton on it!!!

Just heard who Obama picked

Just heard Obama picked Joe Biden for vice president. What is up with that? Where is Hilary Clinton? The Obama/Clinton would have been a slam dunk. I don't have respect for Biden. He doesn't relate to life in the real world. Just another rich guy. We need change. Plain and simple. How is picking Biden going forward? Now, my vote is up in the air. I'll wait to see McCain's pick. Maybe Hilary will switch to be republican. Wouldn't that be a ticket? McCain/Clinton!
