If you're looking for a way to help the Obama/Biden Campaign, come out on Saturday morning at 9 AM to the Steelworkers Local 13836 at 665 Pittsburgh Street in Uniontown. Dan Rooney and some of the Steelers will be there to sign autographs and talk about why they support Barack Obama for President. We're looking for people to do everything from making phone calls, knocking on doors and even painting barn signs. If you're willing to help, we can find something for you to do! Meet us on Saturday at 9 AM and join in the excitement.
Our Fayette County office will be "unofficially" opening on Monday at the corner of Church and Beeson in Uniontown. The grand opening will be later after the convention, but feel free to stop in to say hello or to volunteer.
Don't forget the "Acceptance Speech Watch Party" on August 28 at 7PM at Sam's Restaurant in Uniontown. Everyone is welcome to join us. The speech will be all the more exciting when you're in a room filled with Obama friends.
Check out the new Obama ad. It will begin airing on cable stations tomorrow.

Brian needs help tonight at 96 East Main Street in Uniontown. We're phone banking and we need as many helpers as we can get. If you are a regular volunteer or have never helped, it doesn't matter. Just show up tonight at 6:30 or whenever time you can make it. Brian will help you get started. You can help for an hour or longer if you have the time.
Bring your cell phone!
Interested in volunteering for the Fayette County Campaign?
Join us for a meeting at Craig's house on Main Street in Masontown this Saturday at 2PM.
His house is one block down from the National City Bank. Look for the Obama signs.
We had a great meeting today at my house. We're gaining new volunteers every day, and the enthusiasm is contagious. We had some former HRC supporters at the meeting who came to help elect a Democrat for President. We're all Democrats first, and it's time for us to come together.
Volunteers will be registering voters today at the Batman movie in Uniontown and at the Firemen's parade in Brownsville.
Our next organizational meeting will be Saturday, July 26 at Craig's house in Masontown. The following two Saturday meetings will be in Brownsville. If you can't attend the meetings, just get in touch so that you can help out with the registrations. You'll be glad you did!
Hey Fayette County...it's time to get to work. I registered voters at Masontown Shop & Save today. All you have to do is call for permission, get some registration forms and go to work. People are really appreciative. Almost everyone I registered said they were voting for Senator Obama.
Everyone should make an effort to attend the Fayette County organizational meeting at Garfield's and/or my house party on July 19 at 2 PM. Sign up online to attend. Things are starting to happen.
I hope you all got a chance to see Michelle Obama on The View. She was eloquent and yet very down to earth. They even gave her a chance to explain the "first time I'm REALLY proud of my country" comment. She was so at ease sitting there on national TV. I can easily see her as First Lady.
Go Michelle!
