Well we won. Not just Obama his family and Biden, but the country. It is a historical moment for all. Not just for minorities.
I would like to take this chance to say sorry to Senator McCain. You fought the long hard battle, but in the end the message of change was just overwhelming. You could not fight what the people wanted. The people did not want just a man who ran a very dirty campaign to run this country. But Senator, you are a good man. You did do this country a great service and you will always be thanked greatly for it.
But in the end it was not just experince in fighting for this country that the people wanted. We wanted someone who could inspire us. Someone who could take this country in the right direction. And in my heart I believe it is Obama/Biden. I believe that if Senator McCain had been the President Elect that there would be more war and pain. Now who really knows. But that is what I believe.
This is the time to move foward, not backward. Lets continue to hlep Obama/Biden when he calls upon us to help. The help did not stop on election night. I will help if I am asked to help. If I am able to that is. I don't know what I can do, but I will do it.
Once again, Congratulations President Elect Obama!!!
Well it is only 28 days until we will elect a new President. With all our hard work and effort hopefully that President will be Sen Barack Obama. I myself have put a lot of "Blood, Sweat and tears" into this campaign. Before this year I was "interested" in elections but not enough to get involved or to go vote. But this year Obama has changed all that. I heard one of his speeches during the primaries and was very moved. It moved me so much that I went right out and registered, then proceeded to vote in the primaries. Shortly after that I started volunteering. And what can I say it has been a wild ride. Talking to Obama supporters, and yes also McCain supporters and the ever important undecideds. To this day even with only 28 days left there are a lot of people who are undecided about who they are going to vote for. When I ask why, they respond with a wide range of answers. "I dont like either of the candidates, the battling between the two makes me sick, they are wasting money on campaign adds" Those are just some of the answers I get from voters when I talk to them on the phone. I have also heard that a lot of people are just plain not going to vote this year because of it all. I have heard it all. But for every "bad" call I get I do have a good one. The hope you hear in a voice. It is so worth it.
This campaign has made me grow as a person. I have Obama/Field organizers with the campaign that I have been working so close with to thank. I don't know if I would of ever become so involved if I would of never heard him speak duruing the primaries. If that call would of come inviting me to the house party and I wouldnt of heard that speech, I dont know if I would of gone. Obama is motivating this country, and will do wonderful things. And the field organizers have been so wonderful in getting me involved in the process.
Thank you Obama, Michelle and the field organizers in Wausau(you know who you are)
