Voter Registration in Corvallis Oregon

I went to the voters registration with Craig Robinson speaking. The Obama headquarters in Corvallis Oregon was packed. There was an interesting mix of people but I would say half were younger voters. You can see pictures of this event on my flickr page at http://www.flickr.com/photos/laineyd/

Thursday at 5pm I'll be attending a party at the Obama headquarters in Corvallis Oregon. Craig Robinson will be there which is Michelle Obama's brother. He lives and works in Corvallis at Oregon State University as a coach. I'll be attending to not only show my support but also as a photographer to shoot the event. My first political contribution in 18 years

I grew up in a strict Christian household which means that I was raised a conservative Republican. I lived in Michigan, Arizona and now Oregon. For the first time in 18 years I did NOT register as a Republican. I'm now an indepedent voter and I've chosen to back Barack Obama. For the first time in 18 years I'm getting involved in the presidential elections. I think Obama would be the clear candidate that would be able to step across the lines to Republicans and Democrats and everyone in between.
