Its been all over the news lately and i know Americans in particular are Very worried about the Rising costs of gas fillups so I have a few points i will like Barack to address when speaking publicly about these issues.
NB: i previously thought i saw a link for supporters to post thoughts on issues but i can no longer decipher where it was.
Habeas Corpus:
we all know Barack is a lawyer but he should not play into the game the repubs are trying to snare him into right now. they are trying to bait him on the issue of strongly supporting the supreme court rulings. we know this may be true but when Barack is defending his views on the situation he should only point to the fact that suspected terrorist are just That and as humans they Need to have their fair trials in a reasonable timeframe from the time of their capture and in the event they are found guilty they will be dealt with accordingly. the main issue here is the fact that the suspects need to be viewed as being given their day in court in a reasonable amount of time and it does not necessarily have to be in a US court with US citizen rights. i do not know the specifics of how they are supposed to be tried under NATO laws but just projecting that image that America does indeed have a legitimate intent to try these captured "terrorists" in a reasonable time frame will gain us some credibilty worldwide. Barack should also stave off using "Lawyer Speak" when addressing such issues. just use n educative but plain English when making a point on this issue.
Off-Shore Drilling:
McCain's latest flip-flop does not really change anything when it comes to reducing Gas Prices (at least in the short run). However it makes him seem as the progressive candidate even though it is still up to individual coastal states if Congress removes the ban. When Barack is answering questions about his views on this issue, i will like him to stick to his already proposed plans (windfall etc.) while still insisting that he is Very Open to alternatives such as Nuclear and Drilling so long as there have been Established Environmental Protection Safeguards and the Willingness of the Oil or Nuclear companies agreeing to be Held Fully accountable for any Mishaps that may occur during the process. however he should state that investing in alternative fuels that are more friendly to the Environment are His Highest Priority and try not to look like He is completely blocking out any possibility of safe drilling and Nuclear research as viable alternatives. this way he will be both Environmentally Friendly and assure the "Oil Heads".
