I wonder if anyone has read the article mentioned here and on my other blog, from the Guardian. http://www.guardian.co.uk/society/2009/aug/21/healthcare-provision-us-uk
It really is worth reading. I find the UK coverage of our health care "debates" enlightening to say the least.
Best wishes to President Obama as he tries to do what so many have tried and failed.

As time goes on in the various coverages, I find or hear more interesting takes and stories about the Senator.
One of the folks who lined the route to the Library said something about her father telling her they would be safe as long as Sen. Kennedy was around.
I think many of us felt that for quite a while now.
His death is a great loss to the country; especially to those who have the least.
His political excellence will be greatly missed for so many reasons.

As I was writing a post to my other blog, http://kannasthoughts.blogspot.com/, I noted PBS, Bill Moyer's Journal ad.
The Journal reran a short documentary that was to remind us of why we need health-care reform.
It did just that for me and then some.
Here is a link http://www.pbs.org/moyers/journal/ then you can watch the video or read the transcript.
Please take time to read or watch the show.
The status quo must go-it is not working.
PS. Washington Week in Review was just excellent also. here is a link; http://www.pbs.org/weta/washingtonweek/
After watching the meet yesterday, I became more comfortable with the "insurance" reform.
I decided to listen very carefully to the President instead of just reading what the media covered.
There is some good coverage out there but there is a lot of not quite coverage. I try to check a variety of sites, TV, printed matter to follow the discussion and try to find facts.
So thank you Mr. President for the opportunities to hear directly from you.
