After reading and inserting some comments to the article below, I believe it paints a very realistic picture of America's position for change last night!

[In the 2008 election], Barack Obama forced America to confront its own subconscious, [Ins][our racist past, anti Muslim anxieties.and the shadowing sense of terrorism] This election was fundamentally about what happened when fear collided with fact. [Ins]However, last night we decided to focus on the concrete dangers facing our nation and use our God given facuties of reason and faith. Indeed, the election results suggest something striking: America has forgotten. September 11 has not disappeared from our memory, of course, but we have recovered from the blow. We have forgotten how it felt to be afraid, and so, yesterday, we forgot to vote our fears. And in doing, we have elected a black president with a Muslim name. Fear again proved but a temporary detour from our history's long arc toward justice.
Obama's grandmother dies a day before election
CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Barack Obama says that his grandmother has died. The Democratic presidential candidate announced the news in a joint statement with his sister Maya Soetoro-Ng. He said his grandmother, Dunham, had died peacefully after a battle with cancer. He said: "She was the cornerstone of our family, and a woman of extraordinary accomplishment, strength, and humility. She was the person who encouraged and allowed us to take chances." The candidate learned of her death Monday morning while he was campaigning in Jacksonville, Fla. He planned to go ahead with campaign appearances. Late last month, Obama took a break from campaigning and flew to Hawaii to be with the 86-year-old Dunham, who helped raise him.
The following articles below contain truthful accounts from individuals such as [Republican Chuck Hagel] that are absent in some in the media as well as throughout America's news cycles. Some of media like (CNN) still wants to talk about campaign finance instead of substantive issues. The following articles should make us think twice when selecting McCain/Palin at the voter booth this October/November. These articles, particular the one about Chuck Hagel, is one of the best articles I have saw throughout this whole election cycle.
The Hagel article in November's issue of The New Yorker is eye opening; non-bias, vivid with much need lucidness in the midst of our times now. Please take time to read them and past them along to any undecided voter. Chuck Hagel, is a self-controlled, wise individual who echoes the strong relevant leadership need to help counsel America right now, he has consistently stood by Barack Obama side, went with him to vist Iraq, and wants the best [change] for this country no matter which party brings forward the winning formula. He is not a people pleaser, but an American servant.
We need a president, who is not satisfied with the state of America now and understands like JFK and RFK once believed and said,”I think this country, America, can be better than it is now, I think the best is yet to come, if we come together and work together". We are looking at our next president, Barack Obama; Joe Biden is running faithful shotgun with him all the way! :)

Thank you for listening:)
Tonight, Barack Obama continued his consistent pursuit of debating while emphasizing self control, respect and due defense. During the debate tonight, Obama got the distractions out in the open, confronted with them with truthful evidence that I have seen for myself and turned the table on McCain's style of politics. Although, McCain did communicate ideas much better tonight, he did not sell many in my book.
In addition, Obama showed how calculated his chose of Senator Biden was and some of the clear reason why he chose him as well as his confidence in him as a potential president.
Senator Obama could have been much tougher on Governor Palin, but he chose to take the high road and get back to the debate at hand and not the distractions that have been a key part of McCain's campaign over the pass 2-4 weeks.
Senator Obama, as I said in the first profile I made when signing up to support him, has the ingredients we need as Americans for the next president of the United States. He has shown the consistent character, vigilance, innovative thought, levelheadedness, open-minded, trustworthiness, conviction, perservance, I could go on on on; lets work for him now and go vote, continue to spread the word, and bring this election home for our next president of United States, Barack Obama!!

McCain can not just correct a few people in his rally and think the fires of division will burn out. He must change the culture of his campaign against the gasoline spills of falsehoods and smears that are igniting negative emotional rage and spreading like fire on dry wood and grass. These fires are bearing fruits of increasing division, discord and confusion while productive political discourse loses oxygen in foundation of his campaign. McCain needs to pour the water of love on his campaign. This will make these fires transform or run for cover. For the light shines truth on division, discord and confusion like a scalpel; ready to do great things on the souls of those who are willing to embrace the sword of truth. The scalpel of truth will renew the soul so that one can see things as God see them; in terms of the heart or soul and not on the outward appearance of fading human shells and temporal things.
Be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind through the author of change. Erase the old thinking patterns of the past; injecting in those old tapes the Word of God. (Romans 12:2)
Based on the fluctuations of an individual's maturity and the unique events that shape each human's behavior, it is dangerous to assume that someone who was once 15 years old, still holds the same beliefs as they approach their 20s, or 50s. As you know, an individual's beliefs and priorities can change dramatically over the course of their life.
One thing to observe about John McCain, as seen again tonight at Belmont University in Nashville, TN, is his 'willingness' to spread false context about Obama without apology even with contempt; this is a grave telling sign of his current state of character. In addition, how he allows his running mate, Sarah Palin, to go around erratically swing falsehoods at Barack Obama without McCain’s responsible correction or intervening leadership. All of this should send a sober warning to the American public about McCain's judgment and how he plans to govern right now in 2008.
Instead of asserting sound evidence that supports his arguments in his campaign; McCain continues to choose the low road. The low road will get the American people nowhere fast and fuel the attitude of cynicism already express against America government. Consequently, Americans will lose out in the end. The American public need a consistent trustworthy voice that encourages individuals to take the road less traveled, and gives them straight context about the issues they face everyday; not guilt by association speeches and videos.
McCain’s present strategy is praying on the hope that Americans are not going to spend time researching political policy positions. Does McCain believe that the American public is too naive to discern between what is true and what is false? As McCain stated to one gentleman tonight, most Americans have near heard of Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac, right?
Hello Johnathan,
The smear onslaught has begun.
Realizing that the American public has woken up to their destructive policies, desperate Republicans are launching an 11th-hour smear offensive of lies, distortions, and slanders. The McCain campaign went so far to announce the smear offensive in the pages of the Washington Post and the New York Times.
They even admitted, flat-out, that this was just an attempt to stop talking about the financial crisis.
One McCain advisor was quoted in the New York Daily News saying, "It's a dangerous strategy, but we have no choice. If we keep talking about the economic crisis, we're going to lose."
It's a very dangerous strategy, and we need to make him pay for it. Warn your neighbors about what John McCain is doing and influence the way it's covered with a letter to the editor of your local paper:
http://www.truthfightsback.com/onslaught
This is the ground on which the rest of the election will be fought. The McCain campaign is making it as obvious as possible: they will try to win this election with a smear campaign unlike any our country has ever seen. This is the moment we started TruthFightsBack.com for, this is the reason many of you joined. It's our time, and we need to fight back.
This is a critical time. We have to make as many people aware of this despicable and dishonorable strategy as we can.
WE CAN'T LET JOHN MCCAIN GET AWAY WITH THIS.
We want to make sure every newsroom in the country knows exactly what's happening, and what we all think of it. We want every story about a McCain smear to point out that he's doing this because he doesn't want to talk about the issues that matter. And if we can do that, we will make it that much easier to beat back every smear from here on out.
So please do what you can to help us on this important project. If we win this fight, the election is ours, and we can get a new start in our country.
Thanks,
Brian YoungDirectorTruthFightsBack.com
P.S. Please forward this message to anyone else you know who should join our campaign.
Obama supporters,
During the time I have been a member at faithbase.com, I have noticed alot of other members who have a distorted view or are misinformed about Barack Obama's faith and how it will play out in his everyday administration. I have dedicated a site within the community at http://www.faithbase.com/voiceswords to help fight against falsehoods about Obama and help point people to the truth. Unfornuately, there are alot of people out there who still believe Obama is a "live-birth" exterminator, a Muslim or has other beliefs that are contrary to the Christian faith, thus his faith. Therefore, I asking Obama supporters that are concerned with making sure Barack's faith is not smeared with falsehoods and protrayed truthfully to join me at faithbase.com.
As a christian this is very information to me. It saddens and angers me to see these falsehoods floating around despite the clear evidence that is out there about Barack Obama faith. However, one thing is clear, we had to be a revolving media outlet for Obama; true information is not going to fly to people through dial-up or broadband communications by itself. Mostly important, this is not about the Christian faith superiority or the lesser Muslim or Buddist faith, this is about advocating the truth about our next president of the United States of America. So, if you are interested go to faithbase.com, signup with a new account and start communicating and spreading the truth or click the faithbase.com button below to go differently to my site on faithbase.com. As stated, there are alot of falsehoods still floating around out there. In West Viginia alone, for example, 26% percent of people still believe Barack is a Muslim. I have family members that run into people everyday in Western North Carolina that firmly believe he is a Muslim. Furthermore, there are many people that believe he is a pro-abortion extremist. All which are not true.
Thank you for listening Obama supporters,

I am working on using social networking sites such as Faithbase.com, BlackPlanet, Facebook and others (as many as I realistic have time) to promote Obama message and to throw water on the lies and deceitful tactics that McCain is putting out there each and everyday. We can further flood out the information that McCain is putting out there, at least from a electronic vehicle point of view, if more people would sign up and use these social networking venues and blogs solely for this purpose. I believe this election is going to be decided by voter outreach and by making sure voters and undecided voters have "trustworthy" information to make an informed decision. McCain is hoping that people only see one side of the equation. We know there is always two sides of an argument, thus Obama's side needs to get out there more, especially with McCain strategic alliance to promote a one-sided information overload to the White House . Visit http://www.faithbase.com/voiceofswords for an example of what I am doing. This kind of networking can increase the young vote;target marketing of Obama message is crucial. If voters can get the truth, I will have to scratch my head very hard if Obama loses in November. We need a president who strives for the principles of trustworthiness and integrity in the White House come January. Barack stated, since the beginning of his campaign that he will govern the same way he campaigns. He continue to uphold this promise. However, McCain is showing us how he wants to campaign for president, we need to show how that reflects his character judgment if elected in November. We need to be strong on the ground as well as through the network cables and servers that have helped join all of us together for one purpose, elect Barack Obama! :)
Obama faithful,
Our opponents already believe we are too naive and uneducated about American civil history, the impact or the lack thereof of a vice-president. Consequently, they believe Obama's choice is not significant (that's what they want you to believe, especially those without the Internet). I believe Obama just added a partner with compatible years of wisdom in foreign and domestic policy, a legal expert, an advocate for Women's Rights (especially for rape victims), a champion for accountable government, a civil rights activist, and a healthy thorn in McCain's and company's side just to name a few. He is a family man as well. I once listened to Biden in a 2007 interview about what kind of president America needed now. He said something that stood out to me. He said our country needed a little of Lincoln, Rooselvelt and Bobby Kennedy. This lets you know how this mans thinks. I have to say, I like it.
Let's flood the information gates about the future occupants of the Oval Office, Obama/Biden.... I have never been so excited about politics until now. Help them cut away at and shine the light on the falsehoods of McCain.
Butler gives the following account,
As some of you might know, John McCain is a long-time acquaintance of mine that goes way back to our time together at the U.S. Naval Academy and as Prisoners of War in Vietnam. He is a man I respect and admire in some ways. But there are a number of reasons why I will not vote for him for President of the United States. When I was a Plebe (4th classman, or freshman) at the Naval Academy in 1957-58, I was assigned to the 17th Company for my four years there. In those days we had about 3,600 midshipmen spread among 24 companies, thus about 150 midshipmen to a company. As fortune would have it, John, a First Classman (senior) and his room mate lived directly across the hall from me and my two room mates. Believe me when I say that back then I would never in a million or more years have dreamed that the crazy guy across the hall would someday be a Senator and candidate for President!John was a wild man. He was funny, with a quick wit and he was intelligent. But he was intent on breaking every USNA regulation in our 4 inch thick USNA Regulations book. And I believe he must have come as close to his goal as any midshipman who ever attended the Academy. John had me "coming around" to his room frequently during my plebe year. And on one occasion he took me with him to escape "over the wall" in the dead of night. He had a taxi cab waiting for us that took us to a bar some 7 miles away. John had a few beers, but forbid me to drink (watching out for me I guess) and made me drink cokes. I could tell many other midshipman stories about John that year and he unbelievably managed to graduate though he spent the majority of his first class year on restriction for the stuff he did get caught doing. In fact he barely managed to graduate, standing 5th from the bottom of his 800 man graduating class. I and many others have speculated that the main reason he did graduate was because his father was an Admiral, and also his grandfather, both U.S. Naval Academy graduates. People often ask if I was a Prisoner of War with John McCain. My answer is always "No - John McCain was a POW with me." The reason is I was there for 8 years and John got there 2 ½ years later, so he was a POW for 5 ½ years. And we have our own seniority system, based on time as a POW.
John's treatment as a POW:
1) Was he tortured for 5 years? No. He was subjected to torture and maltreatment during his first 2 years, from September of 1967 to September of 1969. After September of 1969 the Vietnamese stopped the torture and gave us increased food and rudimentary health care. Several hundred of us were captured much earlier. I got there April 20, 1965 so my bad treatment period lasted 4 1/2 years. President Ho Chi Minh died on September 9, 1969, and the new regime that replaced him and his policies was more pragmatic. They realized we were worth a lot as bargaining chips if we were alive. And they were right because eventually Americans gave up on the war and agreed to trade our POW's for their country. A damn good trade in my opinion! But my point here is that John allows the media to make him out to be THE hero POW, which he knows is absolutely not true, to further his political goals.
2) John was badly injured when he was shot down. Both arms were broken and he had other wounds from his ejection. Unfortunately this was often the case - new POW's arriving with broken bones and serious combat injuries. Many died from their wounds. Medical care was non-existent to rudimentary. Relief from pain was almost never given and often the wounds were used as an available way to torture the POW. Because John's father was the Naval Commander in the Pacific theater, he was exploited with TV interviews while wounded. These film clips have now been widely seen. But it must be known that many POW's suffered similarly, not just John. And many were similarly exploited for political propaganda.
3) John was offered, and refused, "early release." Many of us were given this offer. It meant speaking out against your country and lying about your treatment to the press. You had to "admit" that the U.S. was criminal and that our treatment was "lenient and humane." So I, like numerous others, refused the offer. This was obviously something none of us could accept. Besides, we were bound by our service regulations, Geneva Conventions and loyalties to refuse early release until all the POW's were released, with the sick and wounded going first.
4) John was awarded a Silver Star and Purple Heart for heroism and wounds in combat. This heroism has been played up in the press and in his various political campaigns. But it should be known that there were approximately 600 military POW's in Vietnam. Among all of us, decorations awarded have recently been totaled to the following: Medals of Honor - 8, Service Crosses - 42, Silver Stars - 590, Bronze Stars - 958 and Purple Hearts - 1,249. John certainly performed courageously and well. But it must be remembered that he was one hero among many - not uniquely so as his campaigns would have people believe.
John McCain served his time as a POW with great courage, loyalty and tenacity. More that 600 of us did the same. After our repatriation a census showed that 95% of us had been tortured at least once. The Vietnamese were quite democratic about it. There were many heroes in North Vietnam. I saw heroism every day there. And we motivated each other to endure and succeed far beyond what any of us thought we had in ourselves. Succeeding as a POW is a group sport, not an individual one. We all supported and encouraged each other to survive and succeed. John knows that. He was not an individual POW hero. He was a POW who surmounted the odds with the help of many comrades, as all of us did.
I furthermore believe that having been a POW is no special qualification for being President of the United States. The two jobs are not the same, and POW experience is not, in my opinion, something I would look for in a presidential candidate. Most of us who survived that experience are now in our late 60's and 70's. Sadly, we have died and are dying off at a greater rate than our non-POW contemporaries. We experienced injuries and malnutrition that are coming home to roost. So I believe John's age (73) and survival expectation are not good for being elected to serve as our President for 4 or more years. I can verify that John has an infamous reputation for being a hot head. He has a quick and explosive temper that many have experienced first hand. Folks, quite honestly that is not the finger I want next to that red button. It is also disappointing to see him take on and support Bush's war in Iraq, even stating we might be there for another 100 years. For me John represents the entrenched and bankrupt policies of Washington-as-usual. The past 7 years have proven to be disastrous for our country. And I believe John's views on war, foreign policy, economics, environment, health care, education, national infrastructure and other important areas are much the same as those of the Bush administration.
I'm disappointed to see John represent himself politically in ways that are not accurate. He is not a moderate Republican. On some issues he is a maverick. But his voting record is far to the right. I fear for his nominations to our Supreme Court, and the consequent continuing loss of individual freedoms, especially regarding moral and religious issues. John is not a religious person, but he has taken every opportunity to ally himself with some really obnoxious and crazy fundamentalist ministers lately. I was also disappointed to see him cozy up to Bush because I know he hates that man. He disingenuously and famously put his arm around the guy, even after Bush had intensely disrespected him with lies and slander. So on these and many other instances, I don't see that John is the "straight talk express" he... markets himself to be. Senator John Sidney McCain, III is a remarkable man who has made enormous personal achievements. And he is a man that I am proud to call a fellow POW who "Returned With Honor." That's our POW motto. But since many of you keep asking what I think of him, I've decided to write it out. In short, I think John Sidney McCain, III is a good man, but not someone I will vote for in the upcoming election to be our President of the United States.
"Therefore, having put away falsehood, let each one of you speak the truth with his neighbor, for we are all of the same body."Ephesians 4:25
For this is a year of choice - a year when we choose not simply who will lead us, but where we wish to be led; the country we want for ourselves, and the kind we want for our children. If this year of choice we fashion new polices out of old illusions, we ensure ourselves nothing but crisis for the future, and we bequeath to our children the bitter harvest of those crisis.
Barack Obama on Wednesday, June 11th, 2008 in a speech in Chicago, Ill.
If you take a strong look at business models like SAS Institute in Cary NC, among many others that have best prospered unwaveringly over the years; each understood that the CEO's voice much reach the front line or "blue collar worker" just as clear as other departmental phases of the business. Furthermore, they realized that the more layers one has in a business, the more the executive department alienates themselves through red tape from the grassroots of the business. It is the business of chained-bureaucracy and top-down approach communication that causes businesses to fail. These failed businesses did not understand (some after it was too late) the value of non-grapevine grassroots interpersonal communication with their workers that place them in a position to voice their opinion and beliefs. I am talking about cultural climate, whether it’s the leave mother who feels she deserves pay while taking off time during pregnancy, employee advancement options, independent or team management, worker’s comp or company dress policy. Culture is what runs a business.
Obama offers this kind of plan that will reach through the walls of politicial bureaucracy in Washington; to make sure everyone’s voice is heard; black, white or autistic, and that his message reaches each citizen in a non-superficial way that is in the context ‘he’ intended it to be in, not Fox News or CNN (who I enjoy watching) or local early morning radio host (with all due respect). However, we as Americans will not clearly hear the depth of his plan for a "new birth" in politics nor be able to joyfully and freely partake of it, if our hearts are not open to looking pass the stumbling factor of race or gender.
Obama For President :)
Johnathan Waters
Obama uses the words 'We are our brother's keeper'. I believe this statement shows just how caring Obama is for Americans, for people in general. It is not good to take a recovering alcoholic to a bar, nor a nation of recovering alcoholics to bar because it is not in their best interest. Obama wants to get rid of the drunken policy and reconstruct a government policy that is sober not clouded, impaired with a lack of sound judgment influence by corporation America and other special interest. I see that Obama wants to give with hands open not expecting something in returning all the time. Which is the mark of compassion, love and commitment. I welcome a change from the do for me, I'll do for you way of government. Just as we care for our neighbors, we should care for ourselves. We are one nation, under God and should press for liberty and justice for all.
