I just finished watching the the nomination on tv and all i can say is WOW!! I have always been a Barack Obama follower, but I have to admit that I am so proud of Senator Clinton at this moment. I like some of you was skeptical that things would go smoothly considering all the hurt feelings and such. I also have to admit that I have teared up several times today as I have watched the events unfold today, and since the beginning of the convention. To be able to witness History being made and the first Black American to be Nominated for President of the United States was very emotionally overwhelming for me. I can't wait to see Barack make his acceptance speech tomorrow night on the 45th anniversary of Dr. Martin Luther King's "I had a Dream" speech.
I hope and pray that tomorrow night from the heavens above, that the great men and women of this nation are watching proudly at what they have helped to accomplish. John F. Kennedy, Martin Luther King, Jr., Robert F. Kennedy, Lynden B. Johnson, Thomas Jefferson and our other Founding Father's to those that died in the name of Civil Right's. I hope they are looking down on us with smiles of approval and all agree.."We did good".
I"m proud of Hillary Clinton for putting her personal wants and desire's aside to do what was right and for the good of party unity. For any of us that are competetive we know how difficult that must of been. I now see her in a whole new light and I have a new found respect for her.
Anyways, just my thoughts and feelings on this evening thus far and I felt like sharing. My appologize for declining on the invites, I'm currently recovering from surgery and I'm unable to attend any of them, but Thank you very much for thinking of me.
Sincerely,
Judy
I really hope Barack can make an appearance in Vincennes, IN. It would be a much needed boost in this area. To have him possibly give a speech at the George Rogers Clark Memorial the same as Senator Robert Kennedy did during his campaign would be great! Weather permitting of course. And also this is where President William Henry Harrison is from. Also FDR did the dedication of the Memorial here when it was built.
Everyone has been working hard up at the campaign office and have been out canvasing. If you do not know where the Vincennes office is the address is 329 Main St. at the corner of 4th and Main. Drop by and say hello and join in on the fun :) Hope to see you their!
Hi all. I would like to urge all who can, to display a Obama yard sign. They can be purchased from the Store for $8 and are weatherproof. If we can display enough of them then I think people who have not chosen a candidate will come visit http://my.barackobama.com to see what all the excitement is about. Let us help them decide on who will be the best for the job as our next President of the United States. Also you can show your support by displaying a bumper sticker.
I'd also like to know if anyone would like to get together to plan an activity, rally, fundraiser for the Vincennes, IN/Lawrenceville, IL area? Perhaps make voter registration available for Indiana resident's since we have not had our Primary yet. I am definately open to suggestions and would love to get something going. I would love it if we could get organized enough for Senator Obama to visit our area. With Vincennes University here we have a lot of young people and I would like to see them get involved if possible. Please feel free to contact me if you are interested, either by e-mail or yahoo messenger. cenanya@yahoo.com

As i understand it, FL and MI votes will not count because of changing their primary dates. I also understand that Sen Obama and Sen Edwards both removed their names from the ballot in MI because of this, but Hillary did not. They also ALL agreed not to run campaign ads and such in FL, but Hillary did so anyways. Now she is claiming victory in both states and wants the delegates to count. She has threatened to sue the DNC if they are not allowed these delegates.
Well I think Hillary has finally showed her true colors and will do anything to get into the White House, even lie, cheat and steal votes if she has to. I just hope others can see through her fake tears and realize this. This is not they type of person they should want in the White House and as President. Sounds like someone else we all know.
The person they should want is Sen Barack Obama! A man who stands for truth, honor, respect and sincerity. Please remember to get out their and VOTE for Hope! Vote for Sen Obama for President! For the betterment of our country!
