To all who made me feel so welcomed today in Beckley, thanks! I drove from Viginia to see Senator Obama today and waited in the long lines with the cold winds with some of the nicest and warmest people I've ever met. I look forward to visiting again before the election and remember - it's all about getting folks registered! Get them involved and energized and if we all do out part, Obama can carry West Virginia!
Also - congratz on the WV win today at the NCAA BB tournament.

Here is Clinton back in 2000 calling Rick Lazio failure to release his tax returns a "disturbing behavior." She had someone in an Uncle Sam suit follow Rick around NY. Another Rovian tactic.
I wonder why it is an issue for her to release her tax records? Do as I say...
http://www.salon.com/politics/war_room/index.html
"In 2000, Clinton was still first lady, and vying for an open Senate seat in New York with then-Congressman Rick Lazio. Lazio entered the race in May of 2000, and was almost immediately pressured to release his tax returns by the press and by the Clinton campaign. Nor was the Clinton camp placated by Lazio's promise that he would do so by the end of that summer. Instead, a man in an Uncle Sam suit dubbed "Tax Man" followed Lazio to campaign events, and Howard Wolfson -- now the communications director of Clinton's presidential campaign -- showed up at a Lazio stop in Harlem to present Lazio with Clinton's property tax bill, ask, "If he says he can release them in 15 minutes, why doesn't he?" and comment "The people of New York have a right to know what he's hiding. Rick Lazio's 15 minutes are up -- he should stop making excuses and come clean with New Yorkers."

I am getting upset of hearing Clinton on tv every minute. For the past 48 hours, all I've seen from our team is Barack on a plane. We have to respond hard. Today, Clinton released a press release stating that Obama is using Ken Starr-like attacks against her. Are you kidding me? We need to be more proactive. We are beginning to look weak and we are not weak, and I know Barack is not weak.
You want a commercial based on flip-flopping? Here's is Hillary stating that she agreed with the DNC plan to not seat the MI and FL delegation.

WASHINGTON -- Hillary Rodham Clinton, Barack Obama and John Edwards on Saturday joined three other Democrats who say they will skip states that break party rules by holding early primaries.
Their decision is a major boost to the primacy of four early voting states _ Iowa, New Hampshire, Nevada and South Carolina _ and a welcome development to the Democratic National Committee.
"We believe Iowa, New Hampshire, Nevada and South Carolina play a unique and special role in the nominating process," Clinton campaign manager Patti Solis Doyle said. "And we believe the DNC's rules and its calendar provide the necessary structure to respect and honor that role."
I came across this video created by Texas Obama supporters last night. They give Obama feedback on how to run his campaign. They make a few key points.

I wanted to share one key observation in my conversations with several Obama supporters and a new trend in the media coverage of our campaign.
It is vital that we are aware of Obama's accomplishments. There are too many to list but here are a few key ones that I believe we should all know about in some detail:
1) Obama-Coburne: Obama worked with Republican Tom Coburn to get this law passed.
Bill Requires Public Disclosure of All Recipients of Federal Funding Taxpayers Can Find Out Online How Their Money Is Spent
http://obama.senate.gov/press/060407-coburn_introduc/
2) Lugar-Obama: Dick Lugar and Obama work to help reduce weapons proliferation being used against our own troops abroad.
Lugar-Obama Nonproliferation Legislation Signed into Law "The Lugar-Obama initiative will help other nations find and eliminate conventional weapons that have been used against our own soldiers in Iraq and sought by terrorists all over the world," said Obama.http://obama.senate.gov/press/070111-lugar-obama_non/
3) Ethics Reform: Obama led and worked with other Senators to pass the strongest ethics reform since Watergate.http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2007/01/19/AR2007011901456.htmlThere are many more but these three to me are critical because they deal with four critical aspects of this race:
1) Bipartisanship2) Foreign Policy/Military Policy3) Spending & Cost Oversight4) Ethics Reform
Please take time to review these (if you haven't already) and pass it along the rest of the team and supporters.
Thanks!
