No matter what goes on in the world around me it always go back to Barack Obama's campaign. We have bad news on every news station of everyday and I always say I'm going to stop watching this crap. But, it always comes back to the fact that Obama will be on the evening news so I dont stop watching in fear that I may miss some news from the campaign. The sad news on that is, the newsmen and newswomen covering the campaign seem to find a way to bring a negative conotation to every story that pretains to Barack. When hes ahead they want to know why hes not further ahead, if hes tied with mcsame they want to know why hes not ahead. They even found questions to ask voters so that they could find a poll that showed mcsame ahead in something. All this negative reaction to the Obama campaign just lets me know that he will prevail and they can't do a damn think about it. Hes contagious, and they can't get away from the goodness he generates no matter how hard they try. Like I said, this campaign is contagious.
Barack Obama is who we have been waiting for since the great MLK. As a child growing up with King's message, I am so enthusiastic about the campaign. No one will ever know how much I am into this race from my view point. I watched as a child when people were being hosed down in the street for just needing to be respected as a human being. I watched as the news reports called black people who were fighting for equality, trouble makers. To have this man now running for the highest office in the land is oh so amazing. He not only stands for what Dr. Martin Luther King called for, he stands for what the United States of America stands for and that is an equal opportunity to trive in this great country. As everyone can see, Blacks and Hispanics are not the only people suffering today. It is now hitting middle america like you would never believe. So now, everyone better get on this O Train pretty quickley if they want to pull this country up by its boot straps. Just take a look at the pictures from Afghanistan. That should should show people that he means business, overseas and at home. Get ready for a rocky ride. The powers at be will surely be after him because he is going to be the nest President of the US. Amen.
I have never written my own blog post before but I decided theres a first for everything. Ask Barack Obama.
Theres nobetter subject than the need to comment on the meaning of giving to a cause to make sure yourdreams and the dreams of your children are realized. So here you go. My thoughts.
I rejoice for Obama's presidency race everyday whether or not he's in the news with positive or negative media spin.(hence my blog name, Re-Joyce/rejoice) There must have been at least 10 presidential races since I have been old enough to vote and the beauty of it is that I never really cared (before) Sometimes I voted sometimes I did not, but this time I not only voted in the primary I finanacially supported Barack,s campaign. I wonder if I can express how much of a big deal this is to me. I treat it as if it were a bill that needed to be paid on a monthly basis as well as sometimes twice a month. Thats because I can't think of anything better happening in this world than to make Obama the next POTUS. In my heart I know he will make the ordinary persons life better and their childrens life better. Right now this world is in a shambles. Think about the people in Lousianna. Think about the boys and girls in Iraq. Think about every country oversees who think we are all cocky because our president is. Why do you think these terror attacks did not happen when Bill Clinton was the president. He never made other countries feel like they did not matter. Thats why I will work for the Barack Obama campaign, to ensure he gets in.
Let me go a little further. If Barack were to be lucky enough to become our next president I will continue to work as hard as I can to help his legacy grow and grow. All he need do is send out a request asking "what will you do for your country today" and I will answer the call.
I have to admit, although I give to the campaign when possible, I really feel better when I see my fundraising page grow from other people when I ask them to. Its a great feeling when you get other people to get aboard your initative. SO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!. If anyone reads this blog and feels like helping out my fundraising efforts I would be oh so grateful. http://my.barackobama.com/page/outreach/view/main/jbangs99
Thanks, in advance, Joyce Hussein Gram.
