Dear fellow Obamaites,

=========================================
It's time to mess with the Democrats' race! Here are the open primaries:
Virginia, Wisconsin, Ohio, Texas, Indiana So, now you guys who live in these states have an opportunity to help the Republican Party by voting for Hillary. Yes, I know that sounds like an alternative realty thing to do and I know that you may need a shower afterward but it's for a good cause (no one will force you to buy health insurance if you don't want it), McCain has a better shot against her than he does against Obama.
In fact Rush is ready to start a drive to send her campaign contributions and he gave it a catchy title: "Keep her in it so we can win it!" (Of course he's doing it to prove a point about how lame our candidate is that the only reason we'll vote for him is to stop Hillary)…
====================================================
Can we allow this madness in the making to materialize? I know we have the best candidate, a leader the world can count on. We Can Win. We Can Overcome all obstacles. We Can turn the tables against all detractor.
YES WE CAN!
Joe - UK.
Hello there!
The content herein isn't originally mine. I have gleaned it off an earlier blog and I think it's important that's why I have decided to post it here:
==========================================
Washington State Primary works like this:
This SATURDAY, FEB. 9 is our caucus day. All of the democratic delegates will be selected by the caucus. However, we also have a ballot to vote on Feb. 19. The republicans choose their delegates half from the caucus and half from the ballot.
IT IS EXTREMELY IMPORTANT THAT EVERY OBAMA SUPPORTER GET TO THE CAUCUS ON SATURDAY!
You can register to vote at the caucus. 17 year olds can vote at the caucus if they turn 18 before November 4. Registered republicans can vote if they are willing to sign off as a democrat. Signs, stickers, buttons, are allowed in the caucus.
Washington Obama supporters, go to the caucus!
Also,
"While it is correct that no Democratic delegates will be selected by the primary election, I do not think it is accurate to say that the Democratic primary is "meaningless" and I disagree that people should be directed "do not vote by ballot!!!" Clinton and Obama are on the Primary ballot with a number of former candidates. The primary will be like a "straw poll" for Democrats, but the media will certainly report the results. If Clinton gets the most votes in the Washington Presidential Primary, she will claim a "win." So the primary is relevant in terms of campaign momentum, and throughout the remainder of February Barack Obama will be gaining delegates (Washington, Louisiana, Virginia, Wisconsin and perhaps other states) and he will also be gaining momentum, including from the results of the Washington Presidential Primary. The results of the Washington Presidential Primary for Democrats may also influence how our Washington Democratic "super delegates" ultimately vote. Given the closeness of the delegate count to this point, it is VERY important to use every tool at our disposal to influence Washington's Democratic super delegates, and that includes the Primary. So I suggest that people DO vote in this primary election, understanding that it is a straw poll for Democrats, not the means of selecting delegates, the process for which begins at the February 9 caucus."
==========
I think a lot of work is required between now and the end of causus time tomorrow (and thereafter). Als, there could be a lot of misinformation out there but I think it's not late yet to give someone the right information and proper guidance.
Together, WE CAN do this.
Hi Team Barack!
Since NH and particularly after NV, I got deeply troubled. I kept on wondering how and when some of the pertinent and aching issues as well as the lies spread by the Clintons would be addressed.I kept on asking myself how the campaign and Barack’s message would be felt and heard by those near and far.
Then I wrote this: http://my.barackobama.com/page/community/post/joemb/CGxCg
But today I have watched these videos by these great women:
Now my confidence is renewed and my peace restored.
I know that a lot of you wonderful supporters are working tirelessly to deliver the country out of the grip of the self-seeking, greedy and power-hungry politicians. I know you guys are doing a tremendous job and I believe there is much more going on than can be seen. The truth shall prevail. Goodness shall triumph over evil, straight talk over spin.
Thank you Team Barack for your tremendous support and effort in getting out the word. I can now have peace as I read for my exams (got to take one in about 18 hours from now!).
Thank you so much.
There is this article, under the headline, “Analysis: Obama's Age Gap: Is It Race?” here: http://www.cbsnews.com/stories/2008/01/19/politics/main3732068.shtml?source=mostpop_story
The writer provided his analysis this far basically suggesting that:
“…there is one crucial voting bloc that will not support Barack Obama: older Americans.”
His analysis is based on the following:
Among voters 65+ years in Iowa: Clinton 45% Obama 18 %
Among voters 65+ years in New Hampshire: Clinton 48% Obama 32%
Among voters 60+ years in Nevada: Clinton 60% Obama 31% Among voters 65+ years Nation-wide: Clinton 44% Obama 18% According to the article, we’ve so far exhibited a poor performance particularly among women and voters down the income ladder.
“For Obama to win the nomination for President, it is going to take an aggressive consistently persistent effort on the part of the youth. The "We shall overcome someday" and "Jim Crow" generations will have to be beaten by the products of their struggle which are the "That someday is now" and "We are all American" generation. Young America, our time has come. Are we up for the challenge, Young America?”

Team Barack, I stand corrected but I think that this trend indicates a really uphill journey to the Oval Office. However I also strongly believe that we still have some sharp and powerful arrows in our quiver. The youth! The entire spectrum across the 17 to 45 is generally strongly behind Barack. Men too, even those in their 60s and above seem to favor our candidate. However, one hurdle particularly in regards to the youth is this: getting them out to vote (or caucus).
The events in the last few months indicate that the response to Barack’s message especially from the youth (but also from the middle to the upper age category folks) is phenomenal. The real task however, particularly in relation to the 17 – 25 or so category is to transform the enthusiasm exhibited along the campaign trails into votes. The excitement and energy should not be allowed to subside at any given moment. It should be harnessed into a momentum that can propel this movement, with a force so powerful that it will crash any political machine in its way, as it cruises towards the White House.
The youth will always seek for something or someone to believe in. It’s obvious they are currently (at least big numbers) buying Barack in. They believe in him. They trust him. They are ready to follow when he leads. But it goes beyond the youths. Older people too, want to believe again! They want integrity back in the White House. They want straight talk. They want truth. They want good judgment in leadership. They want an administration that cares and feels their pains in the health system and their economical woes. They hunger for something fundamentally different from the status quo. That’s why they can even be swayed easily by deception from beguiling politicians tarnishing Barack’s record on issues as fundamental as the Iraq war, health, Social Security, abortion and so on. They too are hungry and thirsty for change but they are vulnerable. They are vulnerable because they have seen it all during the last 20 years and certainly don’t want to go back in the same-old-same-old-same. Unfortunately very few people really take time to research on their own. Consequently they feed on and believe what they are presented with from the 30-second sound bites. They buy into the lies as presented by the spin masters. They inadvertently embrace the politics of fear and unintentionally further the grip of evil onto the American political system. But I believe that this can change. I believe that the truth can prevail. I believe that manipulation, deception and all related evils can be rooted out. I believe that the American people deserver better. And I believe the time to change the course of events is now. We know that the Democratic field presently only one option, Barack, a true leader that can steer this country into a new direction and restore its people’s dignity. But how can he maneuver this ship into the right direction? How can Barack effectively counter the lies and smear currently being spread about him? How can he efficiently debunk the lies of the self-seekers that are currently busy presenting a false version of their persona without appearing and sounding overly negative and offensive? How can he succeed at exposing the politicians that are driven by dry ambition without a mission for the collective good; politicians that are bent on only one thing: “How can I win the presidency”? How can he draw the attention of the youth, the elderly, mothers, single parents, the middle class – all people from all walks of life, to the fact that if they ever offer a small finger to these greedy and ravenous politicians, they will never stop until they pluck off the entire arm?
Are the American people ready for yet another 4 years of regret? Can the lies perpetuated by the corporate media be allowed to go unchallenged? Can the Clintons and their cronies be left to have a free ride through the remaining states with their tactics of “divide-and-rule”, presenting half-truths, mischaracterization of Barack, lies and smear through mails and fliers, intimidation and manipulation of voters and indeed the blatant abuse of the American people’s goodwill and intelligence? I find this couple’s method of acquiring support despicable! I don’t want to believe either that there is nothing that can be done about it! No! History tells us that the America people have been confronted with far greater evils before and they have always emerged victorious. With a clear purpose, resolve and inspiration from uncompromising and committed leadership, the forces of darkness that have aforetime loomed large over this great country have been sent packing into oblivion. This evil political system too, dubbed the Clinton Political Machine, should succumb to the wish of the people, not the other way round!
We can reach out to our family members, friends, neighbors and co-workers and spread the word more aggressively than ever before. Barack needs us! He cannot do it alone!
We can build massive databases of contacts and send post-mails, e-mails, fliers, automated phone calls, etc, that can both present the truth and facts about Barack and his record, as well as debunk or better still pre-empt the lies and misrepresentations of his record and persona. Barack needs us! He cannot do it alone!
We can aggressively seek for the correction of records as soon as the media outlets bring out anything that is intended both to falsely portray and therefore undermine Barack’s credibility in the eyes of the electorate. Yes. We can refute these reporters who, by using calculated statements, attempt to project Hillary as a true champion of the people’s cause and therefore boost her image before the voters. We can send mails and make phone calls “en mas” and demand that the records be put straight, the truth told. The American people deserve to be told the truth! Barack needs us! He cannot do it alone!
YES WE CAN! YES WE CAN!
Through our support in all forms – volunteering, donating, caucusing, voting, etc, we can support Barack and all his surrogates to reach out to a wider cross-section of the electorate through rallies but most importantly through the one-to-one meetings in town halls, homes and the like. I thing it’s particularly through these intimate meetings that women and older folks can get to ask questions and bring out the issues that really matter to them. If Barack can use such platforms to address and answer them faithfully as he has always done, then the adversaries’ efforts will prove counter-productive.
“And at the chosen hour, when the horn sounded and a chorus of voices cried out together, the mighty walls of Jericho came tumbling down.”
Dear Team Barack, I have attempted to express my ideas in this piece. I know this is just a drop in a sea of the wonderfully amazing ideas that many of you have and thus, I request that you provide your take on this blog. But most of all, I suggest that someone mobilize and coordinate supporters along lines similar to what I have stated above. I believe this can make a difference.
BARACK FOR POTUS.
Hi Team Barack,
I have had a few long nights in the last 3 months – during the debates in Phil and NH, the JJ Diner, but last night was by far the longest and the sweetest of all. Yet, I have to say: Bye for now :-).
Within about a week I have to start taking my final exams. Thereafter I will embark on my project which, I must defend in the second week of June. My desire is to continue being part of the movement but I have to cut down my active participation for now. I have greatly enjoyed the warm atmosphere here and I esteem you highly, Team Barack.
My final major post of the season is a mix of my joy and appreciation for what you guys accomplished last night, and a brief illustration of my insight of what I can see as the future.
=====================================================
I am happy I am part of this generation. I am proud to be part of the winning team. I am glad I am here at this time in history to see “The Dream” become reality. I am grateful that the Lord has allowed me to be a witness of the greatest transformation of human society as it unfolds.
To the guys that worked tirelessly: thank you so much for investing your lives in the lives of the American people. To the people that participated in the caucus: the work you did is invaluable. To the great “Obama family”, the American people and supporters from all walks of life: your participation at every levels, your determination, sacrifice, perseverance and enduring faith knows no limits and has started to yield fruit!
Not long from now, the hunger by the American people for real leadership; leadership based on sense and sound wisdom, uprightness with respect for civil liberties, leadership that can rebuild the dignity of the American people both at home and abroad, will be satisfied.
Finally, a new era is setting in. It’s an era that will usher in hope to a disheartened people, and to those in despair, a reason to believe again.

Another great name is about to be inscribed into man’s eternal memory.
There are people who have had an impact on different societies throughout the history of humanity. They have been a guiding star, provided solutions that averted catastrophes, acted as a uniting factor, have been a source of inspiration in times of trouble and so on. Some are great military leaders and conquerors; others are inventors, sociologists etc.
What comes to your mind when someone mentions Charles Darwin, Abraham Lincoln, William Shakespeare, Vasco Da Gama, Florance Nightingale, Nelson Mandela, Isaac Newton or Leonardo Da Vinci?
But wait a moment!
There is a name in the making.
BARACK OBAMA!
The name Barack Obama is about to profoundly make an impression, at this time in the history of humanity, that will transcend time. I believe Barack’s effect, as he sweeps through Iowa and consequently across the country, will be so immense it will catalyze positive change in societies beyond the US borders. The impact of his victory (and therefore his impending presidency) will neither be defined nor limited by any man made boundaries. Injustice, inequalities, oppression, social barriers and all vises wielded by the greedy and selfish are about to be dealt a fatal blow. Of course the detractors saw this coming and they have pulled every trick but their time is up!
Tonight, what is going to happen in Iowa is the first of the many final events that will finally catapult his name into its destiny:
THE MOST INFLUENTIAL PEOPLE OF THE PAST MILLENIA
Joe – UK.
I thought I should preserver this under my blog :-)
==================================================================
I have posted this on earlier blogs, inspired by Gov. Hodges beautiful speech http://link.brightcove.com/services/link/bcpid353515028/bctid1364183161 .
I particularly liked this:
“…Washington needs to change … Barack is that change agent”
I believe politics should be about leadership, with proper judgment, a clear sense of direction and purpose of attaining the general good for all.
I think it should be about working for the people and creating an atmosphere that enables the people to believe in and be enthusiastic about what you are doing and then getting them behind you to move things forward.
Politics shouldn’t be about building dynasties and amassing wealth or curving out small kingdoms for purposes of exercising one’s influence therewith. Yes, politics should never be about influence peddling, manipulation and/or fear mongering. Unfortunately that’s what the majority of the past leaders have made of it. Remember Barack’s 2004 awesome speech? No wonder you hear how different sections and people-groups are expected to hold allegiance to so and so. To me, this smacks of influence peddling (manipulation would be too harsh). Sincerely I don’t buy the populist “1st Black President” line and I mean no offense.
I am very grateful Barack brings with him a departure from the conventional, adulterated and diluted definition of politics.
He is returning the sense of moral obligation that the government should hold to the people. He brings openness in governance http://blogoscoped.com/archive/2007-11-19-n10.html as well as accountability.
There is a clear sense of direction in his leadership both on local and international issues.
He has that unique innate ability to rally people into a winning force. This is very, very critical. A politician shouldn’t be in the lime light for decades and still struggle and even resort to dirty tricks in an attempt to woo support? But Barack has it all:
I could go on but to sum it up, he is THE BEST OF THE BEST!
Barack, I dare say, is the best thing that has ever happened to the American politics and America since Abraham Lincoln and JF Kennedy. I am also strongly optimistic that he is the best candidate for leading the world in a new and better direction.

Falling in Love… for Sen. Barack Obama
"Lord, how I wish that this man runs for US president!”
Then I started following very closely all events as they unfolded. I looked at all the candidates and thought: “If the American people still hold true the values by which we grew to love that magnificent country and its elegant inhabitants, then this time round they will go beyond the superficial differences in their midst and make a wise choice for their next president. And that choice will be none other than Sen. Barack Obama”.
I am Black.I am African.I am come from East Africa.I am a Ugandan, a country sharing its eastern boarder with Kenya. But please, let no one misunderstand me. I wouldn't choose Barack over anyone else except if they fell short of the qualities and values that I consider paramount in the person of the next president of the free world - America, the most powerful country in the world today. No. Neither do I esteem him highly because I despise others in the race. The truth however is that if you weigh every factor, Barack exceeds them all.
He is as intelligent as he is prudent. He hasn't used his intellect to manipulate others for self-gain.He is as articulate and eloquent as he is focused.Right from the onset, at a time when he would have decided to amass wealth working for corporate America, he chose to go to the rescue of the underprivileged. He chose to forego the pleasure of being associated with big names and firms. He decided to serve others - not for money but because it was (and is) the right thing to do. He stood with and for the needy when the rich and powerful (both socially and politically) chose otherwise. He didn't choose the satisfaction of self over the needs of the majority. He made a choice that only the compassionate, prudent and insightful would make and to me, that's the most important indicator. That should be the true quality of the next POTUS and if I were to speak for any of those South Side of Chicago guys, I would say: “Barack saw me when I was invisible”.
One
If I still had any doubt about the fact that what touches America, good or bad, touches the world, that doubt was laid to rest in the days and months the followed 9/11. Following that fateful day, some roads in and around Kampala were permanently sealed off for not less than a year. Now, that means a lot when you consider the socio-economic implications. Inconveniences, relocations, decline in businesses and so on.
Two
When I think of the Rwanda genocide, my heart goes out searching for a leader who can "nip it in the bud" as Barack says. Someone who won't simply look on when power-hungry leaders elsewhere disregard the sanctity of the constitution and turn against the very people they are supposed to fight for. Barack has taken a proactive role in Darfur, proposed sound foreign policy, proved to be an originator, initiator and a bold leader with a heart after the people. This leads me to believe wholeheartedly that as long as he is president of a country that has a profound influence over what goes on in the world, he will be able to accomplish much both for USA and the rest of the world.
Three
Barack is a source of tremendous inspiration for me and very many others in and outside USA.I embarked on my first degree a bit late and did 2 courses concurrently: an Advanced Diploma in Software Engineering and a BSc. in Information Technology (in which I got a first class). My greatest inspiration at the time was a book, “Gifted Hands” (by Ben Carson). Now I am pursuing an Msc. in Computer Networking. However my focus is set on making a difference in the lives of my people and Presidential Candidate Barack Obama’s story is my inspiration.My trip to UK and the education am getting here is not an end in itself but a means to an end. I have a dream and as I watch Barack, I am persuaded now, more than ever before, that if I don’t allow anything to distract me, I will live to see my dream come true.
God Bless Barack and family,
God Bless Barack Supporters,
AND…

“We succeed only as we identify in life, or in war, or in anything else, a single overriding objective, and make all other considerations bend to that one objective”.
THE REBIRTH OF A NATION
I believe there is a lot at stake both in America and outside; the world is becoming an increasingly hostile place to leave in. If we allow those politicians that are merely hungry and greedy for power, to go ahead and curve their little kingdoms out of America and else where in the world, then we will never know what will hit us.
The storm has been raging for a long, long time.
The sails are nearly all torn through and through.
The time is now for us to summon all resolve within us and do the right thing – vote for Obama. For as many have pointed it out, he is one of a kind, appearing on the political scene only in such critical moments as these, so as to turn the ship out of the raging dark storms that threaten to annihilate humanity, into the direction of hope, peace and prosperity for all. That's why I support him.
That's why hundreds, and thousands, and millions support him. And yes! Indeed that's why he is going to be the next POTUS!
Think of it!
Barack is actually a leader and not a ruler. A born-leader, a man bestowed with a rare sense of judgment, Barack has proven time and time again, that he won’t compromise his integrity. He stands for and by that which is true. Right from his days as a community organizer, fresh out of college, to the days and months and years during which he has made a bold stand against a senseless war, he has demonstrated a strong and desirable ability to stay focused as he pursues the right course. It is this very kind; it is such a leader that, for decades America (and the entire world) has been yearning for and thus deserves at such a critical moment as this.
Barack has come at a time when the walls of division amongst the American people and beyond, are so high and appear insurmountable when looked at through the eyes of fear. At this moment, when nearly all seem to be lost and one is about to surrender to the executioner, a redeemer appears. Barack has come and everyone ought to embrace him. He is here to build bridges and gather together that which has been scattered through decades of greed, deceit and manipulation. He is a gift to a country at cross roads; a rebuilder of the broken walls. The awakening is here. Only this time it is a political awakening. In this digital age, I believe that what is happening in America will be replicated through communities near and far. It’s a “political-quake” whose tremors will reverberate through time and space; and whose impact will be felt in the four corners of the earth. The time is ripe for America’s rebirth. Right now the American people are going through the last moments of the strongest birth-pangs ever. The entire world is attentively watching. It’s watching in silent but trust me, in deep agonizing prayers, for the child must of necessity be brought forth!
America, this time round there should be no room for regret; no room for a stillbirth. Sermon all your strength and will, to push just this once, for the child must live!
The time is ripe.
The time for true, real and meaningful change is now.
Change, the time for CHANGE is now.
Yes. Change, not Hillary, is inevitable.
It is America’s moment. It is the Rebirth of a Nation.
