America has become so focused on republican values of glamor, wealth and exess. The past generations of the 60's failed to change the capitalistic problems in the U.S. because most of the hippies were to focused on getting high rather than attacking the issues head on. Issues like homelessness, disease, and poverty still affect Americans (as well as foriegn country-men alike) and wheither upper-class,middle-class wants to admit it, theres are the still the biggest problems in America. How can we expect to win a war when we are loosing harder battles within our own country?
The American oil companies have been an essential part crippling the American economy since the 9-11 attacks. I believe the government should take control of the situation by simply buying off the oil companies and turning them into government-owned buisnesses, to: A) Build the suffering economy; B) help pay off the national dept. I believe that JOSEPH NEWMAN's machine should be pattoned so costs of oil and electricity would be reduced, and if a larger machine were to be constructed with the help of the federal government, then the American government could save unnessisary spending on nuclear power and increase the power already being produced by recycling energy.
Another thing the government could do to create revenue, is to buy the rights to a successful water-running engine. Let's face it, oil companies are dragging the economy into a tailspin. People are spending rediculous ammounts of their hard earned money on gasoline. Everyone wants free gas, there is no doubt about it. So what effects will this transition have on the economy?
If there was an over-night switch to from gasoline to water, the economy would be crippled.Oil companies know this, so they hang it over our heads to scare the U.S. publi and polititions into conform to the idea that we NEED them. The truth is (and I think we all know this is) we don't. Yes switching overnight would cause many complication; money would be lost, companies would go bankrupt; But if there is a slow switch to water there will be no complications. Bescides if the government owns the rights to the water-engine, they could sell the enginges to the american trucking companies first, then to private buyers, then the public, to ease the economy into a better position to deal with such changes. The whole time the federal Government makes revenue for the nation budget.
Another belief I have is how to fight homelessness (espiecally for veterans). I believe the Federal governmen should begin to build large FREE-HOUSING structures for the American people. By building such structures, we can do a few things: A) increase the economy by increasing construction around the U.S. and (B) end homelessness for American Citizens/Veterans. This may not have direct results for the present other than work, but it does have strong results for the future. Of course there would have to be laws as to who lives there and how taxes are paid.
Yet, by eliminating the cost of transportiation, and housing, it gives American citizens (graduates) more time to focus on the bigger issues in the world, and eliminates a few of the issues faced by the modern common-man.
Now I don't want readers to get confused,Im not a communist, or a capitalist, I am an Idealist who believes that we must stop using the ideals of the 21st century and start using the ideals of the new millenia to fight the issues of the future. And by eliminating some of the problems today, we may stumble onto a brighter future. Besides our fore-fathers wanted the freedoms we have today, so that we can someday create a Utopian civilization
