to be honest with you, this is the first time in years that i've been involved in politics. and so with any new endeavor, there's a sharp learning curve. at this moment in time i could tell you more about quantum mechanics than i could the details of the current political climate, which is part of why i'm writing this blog. it's time for us all to take the matter of our government into our own hands - by becoming knowledgable about the candidates and the choices we have in deciding the future direction of this country. in the past i have lived in traditionally "blue" states - massachusetts, wisconsin, and new york. states where my absentee ballot for an independent party candidate wouldn't affect the general election. but now i'm in a red state, and this is a critical election. this isn't a matter of choosing the lesser evil, but a matter of ensuring our freedom and voting for a candidate that we can believe in.
maybe you'll tune in once a week to see what's here, maybe you'll read this once and move on to something more technically involved. either way, i'm here to present the candidates and current events relating to the upcoming election, as well as demystify some of the processes that go on - and i believe that doing so will show why a vote for barack obama is a vote well cast.
