I am ashamed for believing that Barack Obama would actually keep his word. I am too old to plead naivety. I have too much experience in the real world to say I didn't know the game was played that way.
Obama promised to close GITMO, now we must pospone it!
Obama promised to end Military Tribunals, now he will revitalize them!
Obama promised he would end "Don't ask, Don't tell. Instead we are loosing top heros without any intervention by the Obama administration! An 18 year Lt. Colonel in the Air force, highly decorated hero, with a perfect record, will be kicked aside because Obama is not keeping his promise.
The press still loves him, but I for one will not spend money and effort to support "Politics as usual"
This is not the change I voted for!
I am a rabid Obama supporter. I want him to win the White House! The economy is his ticket. Barack must create some hard hitting sound bites, not two minute commercials.
We will loose this race if we keep over estimating the voters attention span. Please create memorable economic slogans that are easy to understand and make an impact.
Someone once said, "Words are like sunbeams, the more concentrated the deeper they burn!"
Now is the time for General Colin Powell to publicly endorse Barack Obama. This action would provide excitement, a genuine story (not a pig in the beauty shop story), and it would be an endorsement recognized worldwide with favor.
It would be important to encourage General Powell to make the news and talk show rounds for the next few weeks bearing witness as to why he has made this important decision and cast his support for Barack.
Combine this with a consistent message from Joe and Barack on the economy, and let others answer the phony attack ads.
