Just as our support for Obama makes a statement for change, so must our support for change remain steadfast. I believe that the issue with the greatest chance for affecting true change lies in education reform. Whether you have children or not, and whether or not you can afford for private education for them, one thing is undeniable - children are the future of America.
One of the strongest common factors among us here is the belief that with our voices united, we can ALL affect true change in our government, our systems, our communities, and our daily lives. It is under this belief that I challenge each of you today to come together for the future of our country, our children.
I believe that I have a plan for education reform that can succeed. My plan may not be foolproof; it may not be without obstacles or challenges, but it is a plan nonetheless, a starting point. My goal is to plant the seed; to evoke comprehensive discussion that will evolve into an executable plan. If enough people agree on enough of the same points, then we can truly unite to create the likes of change that have never been seen before.
