As we approach election day, I wanted to share some important information with my left wing friends. We are being snowjobbed, and we deserve better. If it looks like a duck, quacks like a duck, it is probably a duck. This man has never voted for a tax cut, ever. He has never introduced legistlation for a tax cut. Now, we should believe we are getting a tax cut? I was almost fooled...

Seriously, many of you have been brainwashed by an agenda much bigger than you can imagine. The powerful media machine in the left has been brainwashing you into hating George Bush for 8 years. They have been brainwashing you into loving Barack Obama.
The tax plan being proposed by Barack Obama is going to kill jobs. When Charles Gibson pointed out to Barack Obama that every time capital gains taxes were increased the revenues decreased, Obama said, "that may happen but it may not." Every time in history revenues have decreased with an increase in capital gains taxes. Why will this time be different? The same goes for income taxes. When we raise income taxes on anyone, tax revenues do not go up. they actually go down.
Despite these facts, many of you are saying, "no, that's not true." Yes it is, and you can look it up for yourself.
Here is why...
When capital gains taxes are increased people are less likely to invest in American businesses small and large. Businesses need these investments to raise capital to expand and create jobs. They use this money for research, which increases technological efficiency and creates jobs. When people are not investing in American companies, these companies retract, resulting in layoffs. We now lose the tax revenues from their income, which includes social security, FICA, and their state and federal income taxes. In addition to not having any income, they now become a burden as they must collect entitlements funded by your tax dollars.
Nearly 52 million Americans invest in stock and bond markets. This does not include those with pension and 401K's. These 52 million Americans are purchasing equities. When they sell a stock for a profit, they pay a tax. When that tax is increased, people are less likely to invest in the stock market. This directly hurts American companies, as I have explained above.
When income taxes are raised on any group, tax revenues do not go up, they go down. This is a fact, regardless of what you may here. Additionally, there has been talk that small businesses do not make $250,000. This is extremely false. I spoke to the owner of a heating and air conditioning company. He said his company brings in about $500,000 a year. Now, that sounds like a lot of money. However, he has 6 full-time employees, and 3 part-time employees. He has to pay FICA and social security taxes on these employees, as well as pay each employee their salary. Plus, he has to pay himself. He said if his taxes go up he will have to lay off one full-time person and possibly one part-time parson.
I talked to 15 small business owners, all with 3 to 15 employees. 12 of the 15 make over $250,000 in revenue. Each one said a tax increase would hurt their business. One of them said he is barely making it as is, and he would most likely be looking at selling his business. Is this The American Way?
Going back to the original point made by Charles Gibson to Barack Obama, Obama had a simple answer. He said is about fairness. What is fair about raising taxes on someone who is already in the highest tax bracket? What is the purpose if tax revenues will actually decrease? What is the purpose of restricting the economy?
Oh yeah, to spread the wealth....
It seems ironic to me that Barack Obama and Joe Biden talk about spreading the wealth around. They say it is a great thing to have the rich give a little bit more in taxes to help out the poor. They have both said if you are successful, you should be willing to give up a piece of the pie to help someone else. However, if you look at their giving, you will see that they don't give their own money away. Biden gave under $400 to charity last year! Obama has given less than 2% to charity.
This in itself is not a big deal, they don't have to give their money to charity. However, when you are talking about raising taxes, and how I should give more of my hard earned money, you should be more charitable with your own money. I already give nearly 15% of my income to charity. I also donate hundreds of hours each year. Now, I find out the men telling me to be more patriotic by paying higher taxes aren't willing to give their own money away. Hmmmm.... Makes you wonder...
Barack Obama says he is going to "redistribute wealth." My friends, this is a very bad policy that will have a devastating effect on our economy. Why should someone be punished because they worked hard and became successful? Raising taxes does not stimulate the economy in any way. Obama will raise taxes on capital gains, and on stock dividends. This will have a negative affect on the middle class.
For the first time in my life, I will make about $250,000 this year. I worked my way through college, worked hard for 12 years, and I am finally finishing graduate school. Grad school alone has cost me $40,000, and I am still paying of my student loans from my undergrad work. $250,000 is a good amount of money, but I earn every penny of what I make. I have sacrificed and struggled, and just a few years ago was making $15,000 a year.
Should I be punished for living the American Dream? Why not cut taxes for everybody. People complain about the tax cuts of 2001, but taxes were cut for everyone. It raised tax revenues and stimulated the economy. Let's cut taxes for everyone. Let's not rob from the successful to give to the unsuccessful. In fact, lowering taxes will leave more money for social programs for the poor.
Dems for Obama are now upset that John McCain is questioning Barack Obama's background. They are calling the questions McCain is asking dishonest.
I disagree with your assessment of John McCain giving false answers. It is a fact that Barack Obama served on a board with Bill Ayers. It is also a fact that Mr. Ayers hosted a campaign fundraiser for Mr. Obama. Mr. Obama said they merely lived in the same neighborhood, which is true, but he said they had limited contact. They sat on a panel together, put together by Michelle Obama, to talk about juvenile justice. Senator Obama has not been forthright about their relationship. I would like to see Mr. Obama be more open about their relationship. I would not sit on a board with a man who admitted to being a domestic terrorist. I would politely decline.
I am also concerned about Mr. Obama's changing rhetoric about his relationship with Jeremiah Wright. First, he said he didn't hear any controversial statements. Then, he said he had heard those statements, but he didn't agree. Then, he knew Wright to be controversial, and decided to condemn the church. Why would he not stand up for what he believes?
Mr. Obama says whatever is right to advance his political career. This is a big concern to me. I have a hard time believing Mr. Obama will actually reduce taxes. He has never introduced legislation to reduce taxes on anyone. He has never voted for any tax reductions, and in fact, has voted to raise taxes. He told Illinois voters he would reduce middle class taxes. He has yet to do so. This is a very big concern to me. If someone tells me they are going to do something, and they don't do it, I no longer can trust that person.
He now says he will not raise taxes on anyone making $250,000 a year. He says he will reduce taxes for 95% of Americans. This is not possible, as over 30% of Americans do not owe any income taxes. Is he going to increase their EIC payment? Is he going to take more money from tax payers and give that money to low income residents? This is another form of welfare. While I do agree with an earned income credit in principal, I would like to see taxes reduced to the point that anyone making less than $25,000 a year not pay any income taxes.
I am concerned with he and his wife's statement that everyone will have to give up a share of their pie to help those in need. Why should I pay higher taxes to support someone who does not get an education? I make charitable contributions each year. I choose where I give the money, and how I will help those people. America needs to give an incentive to those who choose to better their circumstances, not those who choose to live off the system. This is an example of the Marxist principle of redistribution of wealth. I do not want to be the USSR.
Mr. Obama supports our tax dollars going to illegal immigrants. He is against immigration reform. This is absolutely not right. We need to strengthen our borders, and Mr. Obama has voted against improving border control in the Southwest United States. He voted against increases in border patrol agents. He wants the government to provide health care to illegal immigrants. They should not receive dollar one of our tax money, as they are here ILLEGALLY!
Mr. Obama is against a missile defense system, and against nuclear weapons. We need to continue to develop our nuclear arsenal for our security. You can not trust Russia, Iran, North Korea, or China. We must have our nuclear arsenal in place to deter other countries from firing their nukes. This is a matter of our future. Mr. Obama has limited foreign policy experience. He is very naive and needs more seasoning. What magic pill did he take since 2004 that makes him prepared to be our leader?
Mr. Obama is not a moderate based on his record. He is a line by line liberal who is not trying to run as a centrist. While he is a good person at heart, his values do not match my values. The only reason he is in the lead is that he has charisma and people are tired of George Bush. If Mr. Obama can tie John McCain to George Bush, why can't John McCain tie Barack Obama to Jeremiah Wright or Bill Ayers? Why can't Barack Obama be tied to Acorn? He was the lawyer for Acorn, and ran their Project Vote campaign, the very campaign that is being questioned for voter fraud.
My question for you is simple. How can you support Barack Obama?
This election is going to be the easiest I have ever had making a selection. Barack Obama has not failed to disappoint me every time he speaks. He is the only person I know who can give a speech that says absolutely nothing, but can make me feel better about myself. I still don't know what he would do as president, and that worries me. When he does mention specifics, he sounds like he would take us closer to a society based on a complete redistribution of wealth. I am worried when I hear him talk about everyone having to give up a piece of their pie. And then, when I hear a plan that calls for an increase in capital gains taxes. This is going to have a devastating effect on the middle and upper middle class. Then, he talks about only raising taxes to those who make over $250,000. But, he voted to raise taxes on individuals making over $42,000 and families making $85,000. His record does match the statements he is making. I don't believe Obama will actually cut our taxes. In fact, I believe the only people who will benefit from Obama being president are those who make less than $20,000 a year, or those who are living off entitlements. I am very nervous about Obama not being forthright about his past. I don't care that he served on a board with Bill Ayers. I care that he has not been forthright about their relationship. I don't believe for a second that he did not know in 1995 that Bill Ayers was a terrorist. And if he did, be honest. Stand by your convictions. I don't care if he was a Muslim as a child. I care that he has lied about being a Muslim. I lost respect for him when he denounced his church. Anyone who will throw away a 20 year relationship for political gain scares me. I don't care that he had a relationship with Jeremiah Wright. I care that he first denied hearing any controversial sermons, then said he did hear Wright make controversial comments. This all builds up to a thing called credibility. When someone tells you a lie or a fib, you begin to lose trust in that person. When they establish a pattern of lies and mistruths, they become unreliable. I want a politician who I can trust and believe in. I will not vote for a person who only tells me what I want to hear. I will not vote for someone who is not willing to stand up for what he supposedly believes in. I will not vote for someone who did not put his hand on his heart during the national anthem. How can you hold the highest position in the land if you do not respect the flag that represents that land? Let's truly consider the facts before placing our vote.
