I have supported Barack for over a year now. I read his book The Audacity of Hope almost right when it came out. I had heard about his speech at the 2004 DNC but I didn't actually get to see it. I downloaded it and watched it and it moved me to tears. I knew that this guy was going to be someone, someone important, someone that WILL change this country and will therefore change the world. I signed up on his website about a month after he announced his candidacy, but I haven't written anything yet, until now. "'Hope, Action, Change.' That sequence can transform a nation. The link between hope and change is action."-from the first email from Barack Obama's campaign that I received. I have donated quite a few times, being matched once and matching two other donors. I cannot wait until the Minnesota caucuses on Super Tuesday. We need Barack Obama to help end the division in this country, Hillary can't do that, and any of the repubs. especially can't do that. We need this fresh face, the one with no "experience." Someone who doesn't play the same old Washington games with peoples' time and money. The Fresh Face, in Time Magazine on October 15, 2006. The Fresh Face. We need this change that we CAN beleive in. It really shows how great he is when the Clintons, probably some of the best political minds in the last few decades, start to use some of his themes, change, fired up and ready to go, kicking the tires and checking under the hood, they are smart enough to see what is working, but too late to gain anything from it. We need this original, this amazing human being, that can bring together huge numbers of people to work together. They were wrong, they said there was no way those independents and the younger crowd would show up, but they did. Estimated 220,000 people show up for the Democratic caucuses, people must really be fired up and ready to go!!! Let's go change the world!!!
