"...Long before he was "Joe the plumber," Joe Wurzelbacher lived in North Pole and Eielson Air Force Base, according to Alaska public records. A family member says Wurzelbacher came to the state in the mid-1990s and stayed about four years — long enough to have the son who can be seen standing next to him in the now famous YouTube clip of Wurzelbacher grilling Sen. Barack Obama about taxes. Kelly Morrison watched the debate with her husband in Midtown Anchorage. As the candidates sparred over someone named Joe the plumber, her husband kept telling Morrison that it had to be the Joe they know. Morrison’s sister, Jennifer, is Wurzelbacher’s ex-wife. They’ve known him for years. At one point, Joe worked as Morrison’s plumber when they both lived in Arizona. Then someone on TV said Joe’s last name. “I’m like, 'That’s Joe!’ And (my husband) said, 'I’ve been trying to tell you that the whole time,” Morrison said. Alaska records show Wurzelbacher listed a North Pole address in 1992 and 1993, and Eielson Air Force Base address in ’94 and ’95. He applied for hunting permits, owned an old Ford and a new Dodge, and paid a $76 fine in Fairbanks court for speeding. It was unclear Thursday afternoon whether Wurzelbacher registered to vote while living in Alaska, and if so with which party, Division of Elections Director Gail Fenumiai wrote in an e-mail. Congraulations To My President !
Senator and our first lady (smile) are the classic example of elegance and grace. He won that debate hands down. Just watching the two after the debate working the crowd shows they are people oriented. Michelle worked the crowd while Cindy stood back. He will be a great leader ! The polls all across the net shows he was favored. Let's hope that everyone voting was of age. (smile)
On the other hand, Senator Biden of course won the debate with Sarah Palin, but to me seemed to be in a somewhat somber mood. My condolences to the family for their lost. I also understand Senator Biden's feelings about sending a child to Iraq. I also had a child in Iraq, when I put him on that plane, eight years ago, I asked him "Are you scared?" He said "Yes," I said, "Me too," but when he came home this time, he got out of the military.
I figured Senator Biden was in a somber mood because of what was happening in his personal life or he was just totally pissed because he had to debate a total inexperienced air-head ! How dare she call Senator Obama inexperienced. ("I can see Russia from my back yard") Oh lawd !!
Senator Obama is poised, knowledgeable and brilliant. Race has to be a factor in this contest, because by all measurements Senator Obama should be so far ahead of these air-heads in the polls that the election should be over already!
My friends. I knew this was coming. Our convention that was meant to nominate Barack will be a mess. I knew this was coming when ole girl took so long to give in !!! (Pleas read)
Supporters of Hillary Clinton are planning a number of rallies at the Democratic national convention in Denver to express their disappointment with the party’s presidential primary process.
The Denver Group, formed by two Clinton backers, has filmed a TV commercial and scheduled a large reception in Denver for August 26.
Another pro-Clinton group, 18 Million Voices, is organizing a march on that day in Denver “and nationwide to support Sen. Clinton and advocate for women’s rights worldwide,” according to its Web site.
Some of the Denver Group’s goals are at odds with those of the Democratic Party, The Hill newspaper reports. It wants an open convention, with Hillary’s name placed in nomination, as well as a genuine roll call vote with Clinton as a legitimate candidate instead of what it calls a “coronation” of Barack Obama.
Clinton backers in Denver will hold signs reading, “Denounce Nobama’s Coronation,” according to the Denver Post.
Heidi Li Feldman, co-founder of the Denver Group, said her organization has raised up to $40,000 and bought six print ads in addition to the TV commercial.
One print ad showed a picture of Franklin D. Roosevelt and asked, “Would Howard Dean and Nancy Pelosi have kept his name off the ballot?”
The ad pointed out that Roosevelt went into the 1932 Democratic convention short of the necessary delegates to sew up the nomination and won on the fourth ballot.
Marc Rubin, the other co-founder of the Denver Group, said there is “palpable anger” at the Democratic National Committee.
Hillary recently declared that Democrats must unite behind Obama and disclosed that she is in talks with the Obama camp and the DNC about her role and the role of her delegates, according to The Hill, which added:
“Clinton and many of her backers believe that, if there is a strategy of recognizing the New York senator’s delegates at the convention, it would be a cathartic experience and lead to a more unified Democratic Party.”

I took this heading from another website that I frequent.
One of the Senator's speeches was on Service and Education. I'm all for students completing service. I sent my youngest child to catholic school in the elementary and what impressed me about their schools was in order to graduate from high school the children were required to complete so many hours of community service in order to graduate, and the elementary school had to rotate working in the soup kitchens. This teaches the children humility and that's a great thing.
Well guys, I went to my first "United For Change Event." It was great! There were great speakers, great food, and I met a lot of nice people. This particular event was held at our local Democratic Headquarters. I believe I heard at least 80 people showed up! I also signed up to establish a "Neighborhood Headquarters" at my home!! I guess it's safe to say "I'm fired up and ready to go!"
I could have made 2 events, but unfortunately I wasn't paying attention. Next time I will check the roster to see if I can make more than 1 event. That would be a chance to network with more people. : )
On the way home I've already asked people about being able to put yard signs in their yards or signs in their windows !!
We can make this work! (YES WE CAN, YES WE CAN !)
This email was sent to me by a friend. Here in South Carolina we are starting this movement to all that we know. Please copy and paste or just create one of your own and keep the chain going !
PLEASE PASS THIS ON AND KEEP IT GOING:This was sent to me, and I am sending it to you. Please pray, and passon to others. Be Blessed.Barack Asks for PrayerI heard Barack give parting words to his supporters at an arena inWisconsin as he departed to fly to his next destination. His words wereremarkable but sadly the media did not relay his request along withtheir other newsflashes. I believe it is because he was (only)requesting prayer from those supporters who were waving him onto hisbus. Media doesnot understand the power of fervent prayer and intercession. And his many non-believers may not perceive how important their prayersare on his behalf. So I pass his prayer request on to you: the believerswho are not too secular to bombard heaven. Please pass his prayerrequest on.Barack asked them this, 'Please cover me with your prayers...cover me,Michelle, and my family with your prayers'. Then he stretched out hisarms before the group, 'A blanket of prayer to cover us all, that iswhat I am asking of you. Pray for me'.- A Prayer For Barack -'Father, in the Name of Jesus, we lift up your son Barack Obama on ourprayers and praises. We thank you for a time such as this and forsending a man such as Barack to fulfill your work in our land. Weblanket Barack, Michelle, and his family in our prayers, our love, ourwarm thoughts, our positive energy, and our spiritual forces. We askthat you cover him and his family with your preci ous blood. We standresolute in prayer and in absolute power against any and all negativeforces or spirit's of darkness, ignorance, and hatred that would seek todestroy Your handiwork. O Lord, Barack is Your Handiwork. And we praise, worship, and honor you for the great things you are doing and will dothrough his hands. In Jesus' Name ... Amen.'
WHAT IS THIS CHIC? REPUBLICAN ??
(US News) You have got to check out the lead editorial in today's Wall Street Journal. Sen. Barack Obama's tone deafness on unethical conduct is absolutely stunning. In sum, the piece notes that Jim Johnson, one of the three people Sen. Obama chose to help him select his vice presidential running mate, received below-market interest-rate mortgages from Countrywide Financial while he was the CEO of Fannie Mae, and did not disclose the sweetheart deals to Fannie's board. This while he was pulling down $21 million in pay. Obama has called Countrywide's CEO--who arranged the special loans for Johnson--one of the people responsible for the mortgage crisis.Compounding his problems, Obama has reacted in a manner that can only be called cavalier. From the Journal's editorial:Yesterday, ABC News asked Mr. Obama whether he should have more carefully vetted Mr. Johnson and Eric Holder, who is working with Mr. Johnson on veep vetting. Correspondent Sunlen Miller noted Mr. Johnson's loans from Countrywide and Mr. Holder's involvement as Deputy Attorney General in the Clinton Administration in the pardon of fugitive Marc Rich. Said Mr. Obama: "Everybody, you know, who is tangentially related to our campaign, I think, is going to have a whole host of relationships. I would have to hire the vetter to vet the vetters."This type of dismissive response to the campaign's growing list of corrupt allies, policy 180s, and broken promises is troubling at best and self-destructive at worst. Sen. Obama called himself "bone headed" for buying property at a discount from developer Tony Rezko. He should have sold the property back to Rezko for what he paid for it and repurchased it at market value. Before he realized he could raise record amounts of money, Obama promised to accept federal financing for his campaign. Now that he's secured the nomination, he won't respond to Sen. McCain's calls to live up to that pledge. As reported by the New York Times, Obama outright lied to an Iowa audience this winter about passing a nuclear regulatory bill that never passed the U.S. Senate. Then, he accepted nearly a quarter-million dollars in campaign contributions from nuclear industry executives, while they lobbied him on the bill. What is the difference between that and accepting registered lobbyists' PAC money? When is the GOP and when are the mainstream media going to notice? The Wall Street Journal is a good starting point.

My personal opinion on Barack's VP choice should be:
1. John Edwards
2. Nancy Pelosi
3. Bill Richardson
1. I believe John Edwards would bring to the table the blue collar voters
2 Nancy Pelosi would bring her experience and years in politics
3. Bill Richardson would bring the Latino voters as well as international experience
Everything else is left to advisers. That's why the president has advisers to brief he or she on what is going on. Just have to make sure it's someone that will give the right advice, and not keep things from him or exaggerate the truth.
This is my first blog. I'd like to start it out with an article that I read online.
(The Nation) This column was written by Tom Hayden.
Barack Obama got his game back. Hillary Clinton needs a reality check. Barack had the voters at his back against all the forces trying to bring him down. He held his lead in North Carolina, and only the Rush Limbaugh Republican vote stands between Barack and victory in Indiana. Hillary needed two wins. She failed utterly. But she will not stop, not on her own. The superdelegates should intervene and send Hillary a message. Out now. If they don't, the supporters of Obama should step up their persuasion on those still-undeclared superdelegates to recognize the inevitable and bring this campaign to an end. Supporters of John Edwards should push their former candidate to release his pledged delegates now, a move that might make the difference as early as this week. Progressives should intensify the counterattack against Clinton's smear campaign against Barack's character and bogus arguments for recognizing Michigan and Florida, sending the message that her campaign tactics risk a massive defection of the disillusioned in November. It must be understood that at least not on their own. Left to their own repetitive patterns, they will step up the attempt to damage Barack Obama so that he is rendered unelectable in the minds of the superdelegates. At the very least, beginning this week, this may mean an assault on Bill Ayers, the Weather Underground, and a twisted depiction of Obama's history of statements on the Palestinians. (On this latter point, they can run commercials of Clinton kissing Yasser Arafat's wife, perhaps coupled with footage of her landing under "sniper fire" in Bosnia. Bloggers may have to carry these messages, since Obama won't.) The Obama forces cannot (and will not) coast to victory. In terms of issues, they should intensify the focus on the Clinton proposal for "massive retaliation" and "obliteration" against Iran on behalf of Israel, Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates. That was front-page news in Toronto yesterday while receiving zero attention in the New York Times and CNN. Barack should take up Robert Kennedy's 1968 anti-poverty mission in West Virginia. Finally, his campaign needs to build firewalls in Oregon, Montana and South Dakota to maintain his lead.
