Congratulations,Barack and Joe,from the bottom of my heart!thanks, too to all those who worked so hard on this campaign, especially to my dear friend,Janet Goldstein, who was one of the top 20,000 volunteers in the nation!
Basrack, you have filled me with hope.I prayed for you all week,on fire after standing in the cold rain in Chester, Pa one week ago and being within 50 feet of you!At that moment,I fell in love, with your message of hope, unity, and inclusion of all Americans, black and white,Asian,Native American,Hispanics, old, young, gay and straight!
I arrived that day,October 28,at 6:30 am.already the line had snaked around the parking lot, and,by 8am,when the gates opened(to Heaven,I felt) 9000 people surged forward, all cold and wet,but jovial. AS I listened to your message, almost Messianic in nature,my eyes filled with tears! They mixed with the rain and the cheers and the hope. You said that we all can do this together.NOt just you,but all Americans!
I had a dream, many years ago as a young child.IN it there was chaos all around, people scrreaming and crying.then I saw a great shield in the sky.ON it were the words"e pluribus unum" from many to one! I know now that that dream was about you!
Fro 8 years nobody has heard us.A senseless war has raged on,siphoning money needed for our homeless and poor and for our children and grandchildren. For years big oil has run the country, greed run rampant. AS a result we have lost respect from our allies and cultivated a hatred of the Us that is growing daily from our enemies.
You have showed us that the color of ones skin does not cancel out intelligence, vision strength and hope. YOu have showed us that we will regain the respect of our allies, prevail over those who wish to destroy us,and unify this nation at a time we have never needed it more!
I will work for you,in my own small way,to better this wonderful country.I know our enemies stand poised, ready to test you.but I believe you and the United STates will prevail!
LIke you,I take the talent God gave me as a m ission.I am a music therapist who works with disabled inner city clients in Philadelphia.Although I am a white grandmother, most of my clients are AFrican American.I share their joy.Yesterday,my blind client Stephanie and I made up a song for you togher and I dedicate it to you now.
May God bless you, your wonderful family, and I know you have your grandmother beaming with pride for you in Heaven!

I just finished watching Barack's speech in BErlin.what a moving tribute to all BErlin has been through! His call for unity in the world against terrorism, famine, aids and totalitarianism was wonderful to see, indeed.
I especially like that he states that these things cant be accomplished alone, but rather, that we,as a united people around the world, should strive for this together. His grasp of history, his vision for the future, and his compassion for the suffering in the world moved me very much.It has been a very long time since the world has heard such vision and grasp of the realitity of todays world.
Lets hope that in November this becomes a reality.

Hello good people.
I have never been involved with politics before so this is all new to me.But after 8 years of a sensless war, weakening economy, and a prresident who doesn't listen to the people I am jumping on the bandwagon for Obama.
The other day I received an email claiming Obama is a secret Muslim and terrorist, intent on destroying our country and possibly the "antichrist"!! this was very upsetting to me,being a woman of faith, but I didn't believe it.I sent the emial on to another Obama supporter, who found sources to refute the slanderous email.I ahve since calmed down, somewhat, but intensely dislike the vicious eamils that are being forwarded about Obama.I dont know whether it is because they are scared of having a black man as president or whether his policies cause fear, much like when people believed the world was flat! I notice that Obama does not resort to such emails aobut McCain. I have reported the email to Obama for America.
I live in a predominanently Republican area and was registered Republican for many years. But whenBush ran for a second term I said enough(I didn't vote for him the first time, either).AFter seeing countless young men and women die for a questionable cause, watching social and educational programs cut and people avoiding going to the Dr. because they dont have health insurance sent me over to the DEmocratic party.I realize that the Dems cant solve everything, but at least they try.I ahve read Obama's book and that is what turned me in his direction. His view are freesh, intelligent, and full of vision.
Now I am trying to negotiate this blog business, and, being of the older generation,am having a hard time. But I hope to hear from some of you.I will be attending a Untiy for Change party today in my area.
YES WE CAN!!
