I am one of the millions of people in America, living below the poverity line. I have to watch every penny. There are times when I can't pay a bill, because I have to pay for something else. With the heating and electric bills going up, it makes it even harder to keep my head above water.
At the first of the year, I will receive an increase in my SSI, and SSA benefits. Enough to help make a difference. The problem is, my rent will go up, and my food stamp benefits will go down. It's hard enough to get by with what I have.
Living on a limited income, makes it hard to do just about anything. I have to keep auto insurance on my car, so I can go grocery shopping. Not to mention the price of gas. It's not to bad right now, but when it goes back up, well, all of you know what that's like. I have to search for the best price, at a place near my home.
The price of groceries is getting worse. Once again, I've had to cut back on food, or pay a bill. It's getting crazy!
As a poor person in America, I wonder when I will be able to enjoy life again, instead of just gettiing by.
