Would someone from the inaugural committee please tell the Purple Tunnel people how they were suppose to "revel in victory"??
We started this thing 2-10-2007. We ended it in a purple haze. Stuck in the Purple Tunnel with no water, no food, no restroom and no idea what the hell was going on. No Inauguration, just Hope. I call it the "InauGATRINA". This administration needs to show some CHANGE NOW!!!...and make it come from the top. We fought long and hard for this and WE deserve better. President Obama can show that he is No Bush, right now. We will continue to KEEP circling this on the net. What a shame folks. Not off to a good start at all. Maybe some of the Bush curse is still left.
This is the first time this baby boomer has heard this song. I know I agree with the title and I know that we were made a promise. "Band of Gold" was also a great Freda Payne song. Our new President will be wearing a band of gold when he finishes completing this song. I just have to listen to it one more time:)

Because of record profits based on greed, oil companies have held this nation hostage. Like a prisoner, we are now showing signs of the ties that have been biding us. Like prisoners, we are arguing how did this happen and how can we escape. It is not the shape, size or price of the vehicles that brought us here. The whip that has thrashed our backs with $4+ gas, now has let off the whip a bit because their hands were starting to hurt. Are we gonna sacrifice our future childrens lives for the power of the oil companies?? Rebellion should be at hand!! But we say...HOW?? The new F word is called bailout. Lets hear the oil companies say that F word, when they are the ones that are bailing out the auto industry. After all, they have to keep these prisoners barely alive so they can keep having fun time.

I've got Sebulius on my mind. I think the REAL party can get started when Kathleen Sebulius is named as the Vice President. She is definitely on the same wavelength as Barack. They have that compatibility that is definitely needed and that can ONLY come from that one special person. Her accomplishments are outstanding. I believed in Barack, right from the beginning. Even when some of my closest friends couldn't see him overtaking the Clinton machine. Now we have come this far. The next step is picking a vice-president. I've watched a lot of the Obama rallies around the country. There is one person that really impressed me. Her level was definitely on higher ground and her chemistry with Barack was amazing. In my mind, there is no reason to look any further. Im speaking of the Governor from the Great State of Kansas.............Governor Kathleen Sebelius!!!

When Barack said George W. Bush won't be on the ballot, I thought my speaker was gonna blow because of the loud applause. I think the referral to Clinton as BUSH/CHENEY LITE hasn't been used in awhile. It needs to be used more often and by everybody. I like it personally and also think its a very effective label that should stick.
