I ddn’t get much sleep last night. The excitement over the Primaries and tea from home conspired against me.
I picked up groceries then came home, as the weather did not allow for the sun worshipping I had hoped for. The consolation price for me? A well made omolet deux fromage with tomatoes and cayenne pepper, and atop that a chance to see the beginning of the end of the Democratic Primary and getting on to kicking ‘Old Man’ McCain in the shin.
“Sorry Gramps, you had your chance and you’ve squandered it and suffocated it with ruthless self interest and a wobblng charcter. Your time is passed. Talk to your grandkids and you may learn more about the future we are hoping to inherit”.
Sen. Obama’s campaign is poised to catch the wave and ride that sucker to the election. If that were all he accomplished it would surfice in an argument for the kind of person you would want in a leader. Focused, intellegent, good-natured, with a keen sense of eloquence and with an inspiring populist message.
(Contrast the nouns and you have what we’ve got now.)
If you have any doubt that would not only be a better president than G. W. but the kind of president America needs at this time in history there is hope for you still. He is clearly smart enough to seek council from other people and determined to get people engaged in the process and making the business of government the People’s business.
Life, Liberty and the persuit of Happiness. A life with the possibility of personal liberation to live out one’s chosen destiny and hopefully get through life finding happiness along the way.
I have a strong feeling that Barack would agree with me here. When the interests and sentiments of the populus (to persue these inalienable rights) isn’t represented in its Government I call to question its nature. It surely doesn’t smell like a Democaracy, maybe the ‘Eau de toilette’ version of it.
This is about power to the people; we have had one system, one way of thinking, one process. Why not try another?
They don’t call it a movement for nothing.
I just watched Barack an Michelle the last two days and even thought the media hasn't picked it up they have come out swinging. My faith in this campaign has been restored watching them on the MSNBC interview. Impressive, on message, clear and honest, telling their side of the story. If any one can watch this and not feel proud to be an American you have no heart, if you can not see the canyon between what you see and hear from them and the other two you are hopeless, and seeing as this is the Hope campaign there is hope for you yet. The media and the republicans are still analyzing Rev Wright and Hillary Clinton and John McCain but I see it. Let people hear from the horses' mouths and decided. There is no way I can see him not being the Presidany after this.
Change
Are you looking for some good news? As the MSM and HRC and GOP camps try to say that BHO is unelectable, etc., I caught a very interesting segment on Keith's show on MSNBC about the myth of McSame being a rogue ranger. Voted with Bush 95% of the time, said he supported New Orleans's reconstruction (or demolition or something) while voting against funding, and on and on.
While BHO's list of "unelectablility" has been all but etched as fact McCain's are passed of as "senior moments", really? No offense to the senator but he couldn't be trusted with the "manager's key" at McDonalds! And yet we are supposed to consider him for POTUS? To manage "The button", the economy, the war?
I think MCSame has not been vetted, and with all due respect his heroic service does not automatically qualify you for the job. CHANGE!!
