So after 11 straight wins I must admit I got too comfortable. I kept seeing better and better results, as state after state voted overhwelmingly for Barack. After the incredible margins in Wisconsin I was sure that it was over.
And I think that was the problem. Everyone got too comfortable.
Now look at the race. We still hold our serious lead in delegates (and 3 or 4 of those superdelegates slicing away into Obama's camp daily.) But she did fiercely fight to hold her position in TX and OH and I have a feeling PA is going to be just as hard of a struggle. It is, obviously, almost impossible for her to overtake that lead, unlesss she pulls a Clinton Political Machine move and tuns the Democratic Party upside down; but that should not be ruled out. We need to be ready. Especially now...
Gov. Charlie Christ issued a press release today essentially demanding "new primaries." for the democratic party in his state of Florida.
We need to start getting organized now. We need to close the deal for Obamahere in the Sunshine State.
Well, it's wednesday and after looking at all the numbers from yesterday's historical events... WE DID IT!!!
Barack seems to have landed exactly where he wanted. Clinton, leading only by a few delegates, now has to endure through Obama's new wide open scheadule. We all know that his personal appearances are his best weapon for winning over voters, and now he has all the time in a world to go rally the next lineup of states.
Of course, it is still a tight race, but this is a now a race we can definitely win. A race, not determined by who you know or how much money you have, but by the voters and their reaction to you.
As Barack now travels across the country spending time with voters, we can begin to expect the same kind of surges we saw in Iowa and South Carolina directly following his appearances.
After everything was counted yesterday I believe Barack was only 1% behind Hillary when counted vote for vote.
1%.
Well, now we know.
Yes we can.
And YES WE WILL!
because WE ARE THE ONES WE HAVE BEEN WAITING FOR!
CNN just announced that Obama took GA. Sweet.
With the polls rapidly closing I can't help but feel ridiculously excited to be a part of this historic day.
As results keep comming in throughout the night I will be updating the blog with my analysis of the individual events as they unfold.
