My husband and I got up at 6:30 in the morning today to get to our polling place when it opened at 7. We got there 10 minutes early and there was already a line formed 45 minutes strong and growing! I can't even express my joy and excitement over the voter turnout! I have never seen anything like it in all of the elections I have voted in! (Admittedly that has only been 3 previous presidential elections as I am only 31, but still!)
And the young people! Tweens and teens (serruptiously covering their Obama t-shirts in deferrence to the electioneering laws) waiting in line with their parents to watch them vote! Teenagers and 20-somethings serving as poll workers! It may sound sappy, but it totally brought a tear to my eye.
No matter what happens today, I am and will continue to be proud to be an Obama supporter as his campaign has been run with the integrity and intelligence I expect (but so rarely see) from the politicians of our Great Nation and even more importantly, he has given democracy back to the people by opening their minds and eyes to their own importance in the political process.
This past week we put up a 40 Foot sign in Fairhaven. We had a party! We had a lot of energy for this amazing campaign. Homeowners Nate, Penny and Mia came up with this wonderful idea to show their SUPPORT for Obama right Now! in their front yard on BUSY Route 6. Check out this website http://www.obamanowsign.com/ Many pictures, Videos, interviews will follow. Please take the time to see what we are doing in a small town in Massachusetts for Obama and think about what you can do too! It is all very positive energy! Everyone can make a difference! If you live close by- drive by and see for yourself! Think CHANGE and VOTE!
Back by popular demand! Debate Bingo: this time it's Vice Presidential! With a twist!
Since Givernor Palin's interviews and public appearences have been so colorful as of late, I've decided to make this installment of Debate Bingo all about Sarah! So, grab a pen or bingo marker and and have some fun crossing off the catch phrases as they fly by this evening. Follow the link below to download and print the custom Bingo cards for your debate watching party tonight!

Enjoy!
In anticipation of watching the debate tonight, I have created a little game to ease the tension associated with watching McCain being a slimeball or worrying about how Obama will fare with the purple state peeps: Presidential Debate Bingo!
Just like regular-run-of-the-mill BINGO, Presidential Debate Bingo! is played with a 5x5 grid. When Obama says any of the words or phrases listed in the boxes underneath his names, mark it with your pen or bingo marker. The same for McCain. The VS. column is a free-for-all. If either candidate says the words or phrases beneath VS., mark it off!
Feel free to download the bingo cards I made for this game here and have some fun with your debate!
A friend of mine has started an internet campaign called Ashamed of McCain where people like you and me can tell John McCain and the world why we are do utterly disappointed with him.
To get involved, just take a photo (of yourself, your pet, whatever) with a sign explaining why you are so upset and e-mail it to ashamedofmccain.john@blogger.com.
