So to all those who think bigotry is over let me remind you, that if you voted in CA,FL or AZ and voted against gay rights YOU NEED TO CHECK YOUR CONSCIOUS....
Especially after watching the people crying on TV saying I cant believe this finally happened about Barack being elected...HOW DID YOU VOTE IN CA OR FL... I guess gay people are not considered people to you.....
Religion is not part of the constitution and after 200 years of waiting for a black president its mind boggling how so many of you had no problem discriminating against another minority..
We are NOT one......yet .... as Barack has hoped .... it is truly staggering to me how one minority can discriminate against another as the vote showed in CA and FL..... when the black vote was 70-30 to take away gay rights on the props....
yep .... how soon people forget what they are voting for ..i guess they cant even remember after they voted for the president, in the election booth....
For all of you who feel gays are not people according to the first amendment....remember how you feel when you are discriminated against and the thoughts that ran through your own minds on why you weren't considered as good as anyone else....
Im white... alot of my friends are white and we all voted for Barack and never even considered race..... but after the election it really became evident amidst all the hoopla on TV that these same people I watched crying in happiness had no problem taking away the rights of another minority....
Its truly amazing....listening to all the people on TV so happy when there is another minority who was thrown under the bus without a second thought...
Congrats, even my 80 year old mother in Indiana voted for you which was no small feat. I am a college professor in Fort Lauderdale and I made sure all my students went out and voted but I want to tell you, I admire your managerial skills, more than anything. One of the main things is getting people involved, when a person believes what they are doing is their idea or benefit to them, they always perform much better. Never before have I seen this applied enmasse as you did with our volunteers and donaters, which brings me to my point.As a professor, I have noted that you already have a majority of the young people in college with you and now feeling part of our success. They are involved in your presidency and a year ago they did not even know who the vice president was. It is a entire new attitude from the young people, I love it. I have never seen this in 25 years of teaching.
My suggestion.. .offer a scholarship competition for the best energy efficient vehicle design,energy use in building and interior design, new energy sources and so on and so forth. Allow it developed at the university level in team effort so cross over skills in various programs can be utilized. Whenever ideas are exchanged between different majors thats when innovative new ideas occur Have a top 3-5 winner range,reward all members of the TEAM , faculty involved and school and do it annually. You have a fired up base, students as well as educators. The minds are here to help America solve our energy crisis, competition always leads to perfection,drive and purpose. The reward increases all of these.I am working in holographic technology we have already took 200 dollars worth of equipment and a couple months ago made a HD TV display the objects as holographs in front of you. This technology would decrease the need to travel by virtually putting someone in a conference room with complete interactivity without being there. If you watched CNN on election night they did this with an alternative method of broadcasting a live person.

Anyway, all America needs is a push in the educational system to develop it cheaply and enmasse.
If new jobs and new energy is what we need, we need new inovations and lets put our young minds in this manhanttan project and become the technology leaders of the world.
Its Fantastic to see all the people out voting..but i went 5 times before I had the time to vote.
My concern is... I was going to vote no matter what.. but how many people will come back and try and vote again when the lines are 3 or more hours.... people have 9-5 jobs and all of them are not into the election as much as the people on this site are... getting them out may be the first time they ever voted...Will they come back and wait in 3 hour llnes when people have jobs and things to do.
When i finally allotted my entire friday to go vote... and stood in the line... one voter near me said this was his fourth time trying to vote... and when it became apparent that it would take over 2.5 hours from where we were in line... he left.
The guy next to me was his 3rd time there. AT least 6 people walked in and then walked out when they saw the lines and thats when i was far enough back to see them do that.
I am wondering since the early voting elections times are run by the republican govenor if this is a method to discourage votes.
I dont know what the return percentage is when someone leaves but i am sure it is never 100%. So if we lose any percentage it is lost votes.
Another thing to look at is word of mouth, when people know that the lines are 3 hours alot of them will simply say forget it i dont have time to wait 3 hours. Look I wanted to vote and it ment giving up an entire afternoon and not work, so that is not a good thing.
I will tell you what in broward county florida the election official in charge is up for relection and that is the only vote i made for an independent.
It doesnt take a rocket science to open more places even though you are restricted on the times to keep them open. there were roughly 6-8 people running the pre-voting... and ill tell you this there is no way the preelection votes can get any higher per day because it has reached terminal capacity.. it just cant handle anymore voters .

I saw Hillary today and she was great in FORT LAUDERDALE.
SO heres what happened in Fort LAUDERDALE TODay..Early voting started..so after the Hilary rally i went across the street to vote early at the main library..the line was in the hundreds out the doo... I HAVENEVER EVER SEEN ANYTHING LIKE IT.... so I decided to go to a local branch near by house... cars everywhere.. people lined up to the street..waiting time 4 hours... so i say WHAT THE HELL this is unbelievable is everybody this fired up? so i go to Wilton manors to vote same thing lines to the street waiting time in hours not minutes... so i run do my errands and say ill go back at 4 .. at 4 pm same lines and now they are posting the line wait outside as 2 hours forty minutes... at the same time i arrive at the voting place about 30 other poeple do and all of us decide to come back tomorrow ... which I will do...
but heres the best thing... It wasnt islotaed on the news it was like that EVERYWHERE..
and People arent waiting in line for 4 hours for more of the same so i would say its 90% or more obama voters ... better yet i bought an obam button at the hillary function and everyone that saw me when i went shopping to the market and other places asked me if i voted and how fired up they were about voting for obama ... i mean if there was a Mccain votr anywhere near they never showed themselves and the register clerk at walgreens and publix both said they were first time voters and voting for obama and they were in their 40's... I REALLY DO NOT THINK THE POLLS ARE REFLECTING HOW MANY PEOPLE ARE GOING TO VOTE THAT NEVER VOTe and all of them today were voting for obama in Broward County Florida..

Well i guess criticizing anything in my other blogs means I am negative and do not care... If I did not care , I would not even post... and If a campaign thinks they are perfect then they never get better do they?
Well anyway since Im so apathetic.. I went out last night to the bars and asked people if they were going to vote and who they were voting for.. I talked to 4 men and 2 women age ranges 21-60. 1 was for Mccain.. and would not budge..but the other 5 were all undecided... I WAS AMAZED....
They all asked me why should I vote for barrrack... so I gave them my reasons and my apathetic non-involved self swayed 2 of them. The other 3 said they needed to hear something from the candidate himself..
Now just because everyone on here knows what Obama is about does not mean the average person pays that much attention.. All of them said it would be great if HIllary or Obama came down here and spoke to us...Alot of them are recovering Hillary supporters I guess and first time voters...
SO if all its gonna take to sway these votrs is a visits from the campaign and if Obama wants FLORIDA its gonna take some campaigning in person down here... say what you want but the candidates themselves have not been down here hardly at all and the votes are here for the taking.... EVEryone other than the MCcain supporter was interested on why I was voting for barrack so FLorida is here for the win all we need are the candidates to show some interest in the people down here and they would come on board.
I have swayed my predjudice mother to vote for Obama and that was no small task so if you are gonna bash me becasue I am offering my suggesstions again than dont even comment . I think me swaying anybody is more than 99% of supporters do.
