It has been a while since I have posted, but that was mainly because of being busy with school. But this will be my last post as I am going to request my account be deleted and taken off any further mailings. The reason is because I keep getting requests for donations from the campaign, and I keep donating, but after the announcement of Rick Warren giving the invocation, I simply cannot do it in all good conscience anymore.
I know that many will say give him a chance, my answer is NO. I'm too tired of giving our elected "leaders" chances and the benefit of the doubt. I understand the concept of inclusion, and trust me, I have defended President-Elect Obama until I was blue in the face, but this was literally the tipping point. I cannot stand with someone who is willing to grant a hate-monger like Rick Warren a national platform. Granted, Warren will not be preaching his typical hate filled sermons etc. at the inauguration, but simply granting him the platform at all is nothing short of granting the grand wizard of the KKK a platform to spew his garbage.
Our elected leaders are supposed to represent ALL Americans. And granting the platform to somone who sees women and the LGBT community as being less human than he is 1000000% unacceptable. People have told me to get over it, my answer does not change.........NO I will NOT get over it. I'm tired of subsidizing everyone else's families with my hard earned tax dollars and we always get screwed in the end,no kiss, no lube, and no thank you. Well it is my turn to use one of Sarah Palin's lines, "thanks, but no thanks" to that "bridge to nowhere" Mr. Obama.
WINFIELD, W.Va. -- Three Putnam County voters say electronic voting machines changed their votes from Democrats to Republicans when they cast early ballots last week.
This is the second West Virginia county where voters have reported this problem. Last week, three voters in Jackson County told The Charleston Gazette their electronic vote for "Barack Obama" kept flipping to "John McCain".

......but someone just posted this thought on another blog that I belong to. If McShrub wants to postpone the Presidential Debate this Friday for next Thursday, I say fine. HOWEVER, instead of Friday being the Presidential Debate, make it the VP debate. This will give Stalin....er...I mean Palin less time to prepare! Then we will all get a chance to see which individual is truly ready to step in on day one should the need arise.
We ALL know that Biden is prepared, and that Stalin.....er....I keep making that mistake....sorry, is NOT ready.
I know that everyone likes to post long articles that we like, but please, do us all a favor. If you have a VERY ABNORMALLY LONG article that you are posting, please learn to use the "extended post" box. It takes forever to scroll through the entire page to read other people's REAL thoughts, not your cut and paste articles that we are not interested in reading.
Thank you!
STOP BEING BLOG HOGS, IT'S RUDE!
I still have $47 left from my "stimulus" check. Here's to you Senator Obama! I know it isn't much but spend it wisely!
Happy Birthday Mr. President.
I hope you are ready to grab you wire coat hangers, because if the Bush and McCain administrations have it their way, you will have NO access to contraception.
WASHINGTON — The Bush administration wants to require all recipients of aid under federal health programs to certify that they will not refuse to hire nurses and other providers who object to abortion and even certain types of birth control.
Under the draft of a proposed rule, hospitals, clinics, researchers and medical schools would have to sign “written certifications” as a prerequisite to getting money under any program run by the Department of Health and Human Services.
Such certification would also be required of state and local governments, forbidden to discriminate, in areas like grant-making, against hospitals and other institutions that have policies against providing abortion.
The proposal, which circulated in the department on Monday, says the new requirement is needed to ensure that federal money does not “support morally coercive or discriminatory practices or policies in violation of federal law.” The administration said Congress had passed a number of laws to ensure that doctors, hospitals and health plans would not be forced to perform abortions.
In the proposal, obtained by The New York Times, the administration says it could cut off federal aid to individuals or entities that discriminate against people who object to abortion on the basis of “religious beliefs or moral convictions.”
The proposal defines abortion as follows: “any of the various procedures — including the prescription, dispensing and administration of any drug or the performance of any procedure or any other action — that results in the termination of the life of a human being in utero between conception and natural birth, whether before or after implantation.”
Mary Jane Gallagher, president of the National Family Planning and Reproductive Health Association, which represents providers, said, “The proposed definition of abortion is so broad that it would cover many types of birth control, including oral contraceptives and emergency contraception.”
“We worry that under the proposal, contraceptive services would become less available to low-income and uninsured women,” Ms. Gallagher said.
Indeed, among other things the proposal expresses concern about state laws that require hospitals to provide emergency contraception to rape victims who request it.
Nancy Keenan, president of Naral Pro-Choice America, said, “Why on earth is the Bush administration trying to discourage doctors and clinics from providing contraception to women who need it?”
Christina Pearson, a spokeswoman for the department, declined to discuss the draft. “We don’t normally comment on whether we are considering changes in regulations,” she said.

Mc"Needs A"Cain attacks Obama: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PkXZNvjAKGA
But Obama responds with an ad of his own (MUCH BETTER I might add): http://s4.video.blip.tv/1480004139606/Tpmtv-ObamaRadioAdVoteSameAsBush973.mp3
You ALL knew he was going to fight against it, but if push came to shove he was going to vote in favor of the FISA bill! It does NOT grant criminal immunity, it only grants immunity from civil lawsuits.
Get over it already! Because TRUE Obama supporters are OVER you faux supporters who are ready to abandon him just because you don't agree with him on this issue. Face reality. When was the last time you agreed with ANYONE, 100% of the time? Answer: NEVER!
NOW GET OVER IT!!!!!!!!!! AND IF YOU CAN'T, LEAVE!!!!!!
