Please be more pointed in ads, speeches on economy

I've seen the Obama-Biden tv ad that shows the faces of 7 lobbyists to make the point McC is run by special interests. But as well-informed as I think I am, I only recognized one (Gramm) and know what he's about (de-regulation of the financial sector -- Glass -Speagel repeal -- and the remark about "whiners" and "economy is sound"). SO PLEASE SPECIFY WHO THOSE FACES ARE AND WHAT THEY LOBBY FOR DAY IN AND DAY OUT. MAYBE ALSO SHOW HOW McC DID WHAT THEY WANTED [chapter and verse] and HOW MUCH IT HURTS the average Joe/Jane.

Joe Biden's talk like my uncles -- 2nd-generation Italian-American blue collar guys -- might help here.

A groundbreaking study released by Architecture 2030 this week shows that an investment of just $21.6 billion towards building energy efficiency would replace 22.3 conventional coal-fired plants, reduce CO2 emissions by 86.7 MMT, save 204 billion cubic feet of natural gas and 10.7 million barrels of oil, save consumers $8.46 billion in energy bills and create 216,000 new jobs.

Stronger, cleaner energy policy statement needed

I am communicating regularly with an environmentalist friend who seems to think that HRC has a better Environment/Energy plan than Barack. So I double checked on the coal plant issue on this website. As many of you know, this is a very sore subject in the midwest (where I live) and the US today (major banks won't lend for this purpose until the emissions issues are solved). I respectfully urge Senator Obama to modify your position on supporting "new low-emissions coal plants" to "new NO EMISSIONS coal plants" since coal is the largest polluter (with CO2) of all. This -- along with not supporting nuclear plants for domestic energy, due to the safety and waste storage issues -- would significantly encourage some of the environmentalists I know to switch over to Obama. Thank you so much.
