JUST ANNOUNCED-THE FIRST AMERICAN TOWN TO VOTE-DIXVILLE NOTCH, NEW HAMPSHIRE-GOES:
OBAMA-15, MCCAIN-6
WAHOOOOOOOO!!!!
DENISE
Good Morning!
I woke up early and watched coverage of Senator Obama's weekend rallies-AWESOME! The mood of the people contrasted sharply with that of the people shown at the other candidate's events. I think that those good folks at our rallies felt what I've felt lately-a sense that something's coming, something good (pardon me if I break into a show tune!) It's coming folks! But, we have some work to do between now and tomorrow night. After phonedbanking over the weekend, I'm surprised that there are still undecided voters out there! Let's get busy, or "git 'er done" as my Dad used to say. Before you head off to work or class this morning, take a moment and decide how you can help make a difference. On-line phonebanking is available and they are already calling to Virginia, North Carolina and other states. Or, head down to your local Obama office and find out what you can do to help. In Medford, call: (541)227-5107.
Senator Obama has always made a point of telling us that we are as much a part of this campaign as he is. It is the Campaign For Change-And, Change is coming! Help make it happen. Then join us at The RedRock in Medford and be with fellow supporters to watch the returns. If you can't make it, know that we will be thinking of all our Obama Family tomorrow night and drink a toast to you and the change that is coming! CHEERS! Denise
Senator Obama is currently running ads in Oregon endorsing Jeff Merkley who is running for the US Senate. On Tuesday, October 28th, Oregonians have a chance to meet Jeff Merkley at the Talent Library during his last Town Hall Meeting. The event starts at 4. Senator Jon Tester will appear with Jeff. CNN will be covering the event.
GOOD MORNING! Follow this link to read the announcement in today's Washington Post:

Now that ought to send you out with a smile on your face! Please take time this weekend to canvass and phonebank! Here in Medford, our office is at 105 E. Main Street. Drop by or call to find out how you can help: (541)227-5107.
Have an awesome day!
Denise
AWESOME!!! If you haven't been able to make it to a debate watch party, mark your calendar for October 7th and get to one! Our watch parties here in Medford at The RedRock have had over four dozen people in attendance at each one and we have had an amazing time! Please join us on October 7th at The RedRock for a Town Hall style meeting between the Presidential candidates (we will meet at 5:30 our time to settle in and have a brief meeting-debate begins at 6 PST). Many "Thanks!" to RedRock for being such wonderful hosts! Thanks to everyone who attended-awesome to meet you! See everyone Tuesday! Denise
Hey! The hosts of Debate Watch Parties scheduled for tomorrow night have just completed a conference call with Jon Carson. Jon said Senator Obama will be in Mississippi tomorrow! So, get thee to a watch party! Click on the 'Debate Watch Parties link on the MyBO homepage and you can do a search for one close to you! It will be a great chance to meet with fellow supporters and talk about the amazing neighbor to neighbor program you can use at home to contact voters!

Good Morning! One of our MyBO bloggers has posted the transcript of Senator Obama's speech:
http://my.barackobama.com/page/community/post/amandascott/gGgscy
Senator Obama gave a wonderful speech which included his promise of setting a goal of ending deaths by malaria by 2015. He outlined specifics including:
"The first project of my Small and Medium Enterprise fund will be investing in the developing world’s capacity to meet the demand for 730 million bednets. We’ll also increase access to doctors and nurses through a new program – Health Infrastructure 2020 – that trains medical professionals in countries around the world, and gives them incentives to stay there. And we’ll invest in research and development into new vaccines, and ensure that low cost anti-malaria drugs are available everywhere.
This effort must bring together governments from around the world. It must be a public-private partnership that draws on the resources, and ideas, and resilience of business and non-profits and faith groups. It must be a cause for countless individuals, and a common goal that unites us all."
Remember, ONE asked all the candidates to committ to visiting Africa during their first elected term in office. Senator Obama, a supporter of ONE and PEPFAR, has agreed to the visit. Please take a few minutes to read the speech....Thanks! Denise
Allen Raymond, author of 'How To Rig An Election:Confessions of a Republican Operative', was on Keith Olbermann's show tonight discussing Earhta Meltzer's report on how the McCain camp is trying to prevent people in Michigan who have lost their homes through foreclosures from voting. Raymond went to prison in 2002 for jamming phone lines in New Hampshire's Democratic office in order to block their Get Out The Vote campaign. You have to see this-

Today The National Organization For Women released word that they will formally endorse Senator Obama! Kim Gandy, Head of NOW, said the Republican choice of Palin as VP had pushed them to make the decision. She said,
"She (Palin) is being portrayed as a supporter of women's rights ... as a feminist when in fact her positions on so many of the issues are really anathema to ours,"

Hey, Everyone!
If you have been wondering what you can do to help the campaign in southern Oregon, you need to drop by the Medford office and say, "Hi!" to the guys who are working hard to make it happen here in Oregon! We have three staffers from HQ with us for the duration. They have come here to help us win! Let's do what we can to help them! I know they need volunteers to get the word out about Senator Obama. They would love to meet you and chat with you about what you can do to help! Also, these nice young men are far from home and it would be great to stop by and let them know how much we appreciate what they are doing! A thank you-and some goodies!-would be awesome! Come on down to 105 E Main Street in Medford and say, "Hi!" Thanks!!!

We only have 8 more weekends to make a difference-it's time to get fired up and ready to go!!! Bring a buddy and you guys can go out together! Canvassing is simply going door to door and talking to folks about the Senator and finding out what's on their mind! It's easy and truly makes a difference. On Saturday, there will be two shifts going out: one at 10 and one at 2. Please follow this link and click to attend:

Hey, Everybody!
Hope you are all enjoying your summer! Me? I'm ready for the kids to head back to school! It's time! They have run out of things to do, and I've run out of ideas to keep them busy! So, it's time for them to go back to school. AND, it's time for us to get back to work on the campaign!
Our new field organizer, Joss Whittaker, has put out the call for volunteers. With just about two months left to go, we need to get FIRED UP AND READY TO GO!!! From now until November 4th, count on canvassing and phonebanking to take place every day-especially on the weekends! Please contact Joss at: jwhittaker@oregon4change.com
Also, our new office is in need of the following items: VOLUNTEERS, tables, chairs, individually packaged snacks, bottled water, ethernet cables, a cash box and sunscreen. Many thanks to everyone who has been stopping by to drop off supplies! We really appreciate it! If you are in doubt about what to donate, please contact Joss or myself (541-778-9123). Thanks so much!
It's time for us to get ready to bring victory on home! This weekend there will be a huge canvassing effort nationwide. Since it comes just after the convention, we need to be out there knocking on doors! Please make plans to join us!
Also, please join us at The Redrock Italian Eatery on Thursday as we watch Senator Obama give his acceptance speech! Joss will be there to talk about volunteer opportunities and answer any questions you may have. Please go to the events listings and click to attend (we would like to get an idea of the number of attendees for the restaurant).

Great news to have with my morning coffee! On to victory in Novemeber!
I hope ya'll have an awesome day! Denise
Yesterday our Medford office received a visit from Congressman Earl Blumenauer! Our evening phonebank volunteers were lucky enough to meet with him during their shift! You never know who might show up at our office! So, come on down and see Joss for orientation then help us make a difference here in Jackson County!
Congressman Blumenauer has been a strong supporter of Senator Obama for quite some time. He's a wonderful man and we are lucky to have him serving the people of Oregon! Many thanks to him for taking time out of his busy schedule to visit with us! Please visit his site at: http://blumenauer.house.gov/index.php?option=com_frontpage&Itemid=1.
Good Morning, ONE Supporters!
Both political parties will receive copies of a petition from ONE asking them to make global poverty a priority. I found that we are only 121 signatures away from reaching our goal of 50,000! If you haven't signed yet, please take the time to do so now. E-mail your friends and family and let's try to reach our goal before the weekend is over! Thanks! Denise
Well, we are open for business at 105 E. Main in downtown Medford! Yesterday we had a marvelous turnout for our grand opening! It was great meeting new volunteers and seeing old friends! The local press stopped by and the office was abuzz with activity! Come on by and check out our new space! Meet Joss Whitaker, our new field organizer, and find out how you can be a part of the Campaign For Change! OBAMA '08
Happy 8/8/8! Let's celebrate! Please swing by the new Obama Campaign For Change Office (105 E Main Street, Medford, OR) and drop off your donations (still looking for a microwave-loaner would be great-and office supplies/snacks/bottled water/sodas/juice (individually packaged would be nice/bookshelves for the field organizers. Call me if you would like to know what else is needed!)
Also, we are still looking for photos of Oregon volunteers/events. Please drop them off and check out the new office! Thanks! Denise
Shocking! If you haven't seen the ad the McCain campaign put out on YouTube comparing Senator Obama to The Messiah, you should take a look. It's insulting to me as a Christian and as an Obama supporter. An Obama suppporter has started a petition asking McCain to remove it. Please follow the link and sign:

In Medford, Oregon, we celebrated with the guest of honor and made a wish for victory as we helped "him" blow out the candles! His present from our group was a phonebank-over 200 calls were made! Happy Birthday, Senator Obama! And, many, many more!!! Thanks to Mary McClellan for this great photo:
