Dear Obama Supporters:
Within the jubilation we all feel this morning upon learning that Senator Obama has won the Democratic Primary in Wisconsin and the Democratic Caucus in Hawaii, there must also abide a warm, sweet and loving sentiment prompted by thoughts of his two beautiful Grandmothers. Both Mrs. Dunham in Hawaii and Mrs. Obama in Kenya, no doubt, are beaming with pride this morning.
Though finding themselves thousands of miles apart and residing on two different continents, nonetheless their hearts are joined and entwined with one another as they both ponder the prospects of their little baby grandson, Barack.
My spirits are soaring, my heart is rejoicing and my praises for this young man, U. S. Senator Barack Obama, grow with each passsing day.
May God bless and keep him and his family throughout this profoundly historic year!
Vaya con Dios,

Six thousand attendees to the Veterans of Foreign Wars convention in Kansas City this morning were swept up with applause after applause upon hearing the "page turning" principles offered by Senator Barack Obama as he addressed their group about "all aspects of American might."
For twenty-seven minutes in Kansas City's Bartle Hall, he surprised and astonished them with the depth of his vision for America's veterans, particularly their needs while in training, combat, recovery and re-entry into American civilian life. Senator Obama focused resolutely on the issues of veterans' health care issues. He made it clear that under his presidency, veterans would never have to "fight to obtain" the health care services they need. Nor would they face rejection or any semblance of "stigma" within the federal system as a result of their having suffered traumatic brain injuries.
Despite being billed as a staunchly conservative Republican-favoring organization, the VFW members at this convention today found kinship with the words of Senator Obama. Their initial polite reception - as he was being introduced - shifted to repetitive, even occasionally rousing applause as he lifted their hopes and offered substantive proposals for addressing their most pressing concerns. Those observers tasked with counting the number of applause bursts Senator Obama received certainly had their work cut out for them. They really had to make "hay with the hash marks" during Senator Obama's speech.
There really can be no doubt that a number of those so-called Republican stalwart veterans who heard Senator Obama this morning are now moistening a fingertip and are reaching for the corner of the 'page' they have been viewing for years, even decades, and are at this very moment, quietly, but resolutely, preparing to turn it.
His speech was broadcast on the National Public Radio station KCUR.FM, 89.3, within the program entitled, "Up-to-Date" which is hosted by Steve Kraske each weekday morning at 11:00 o'clock. It reportedly is available in the station's archives.

He's on message! He's on target!! And he is wonderfully refreshing!!
In the last three days, Senator Obama, in case you missed it, has hit the philosophical bulleye of his campaign platform, which is "a new page, with new methods of proceeding toward our goals" square on target . . . and with resounding aplomb! And, underpinning all of his message -- refreshingly -- is an astonishing candor rarely offered by politicians who, generally, have been "withered, warped and wrung-out by Washington." Candor is so illusive for so many politicians, that Senator Obama's consistency in serving it up is now driving some his opponents out of their gourds.
Senator Dodd and Senator Clinton, seeking to take umbrage with Senator Obama's remarks at the Woodrow Wilson International Center for Scholars in Washington, D.C., on Tuesday, have assisted him once again in setting himself distinguished and apart from the "bullying ballyhoo bluster" useful only to those candidates who wish to portray themselves as the meanest, maddest, merciless, monsters on the planet. They apparently failed to notice that the Bush administration has been employing that horrendously ineffective strategy for the past six years. They, truly, are simply unable to grasp that leaders of nations with whom we may be in a contentious or adversarial relationship need not "solely, only" fear our nuclear weapons. There should be other reasons -- other than simply nuclear deterrence -- why they would not wish to disturb our peace. Senator Obama's willingness -- openly stated -- to explore new and different avenues of settling differences between America and its adversaries around the globe provides a refreshing wellspring of sagacity not offered by his political opponents.
It means he's willing to put in some real "work!" It means that his administration would be committed to the real, hard work of making life on this planet safe and peaceful for us and for others as well. The Bush adminstration -- and apparently some of the current presidential candidates -- believed they could achieve it all with "thunderously throaty threats" followed by a few days of technology-driven, push-button "shock and awe." The result has been a disastrous debacle! A disspiriting, disheartening disgrace. We need no more of such folly, such foolishness and such failure.
America has dropped two nuclear bombs -- on Hiroshima and Nagasaki -- during World War II in 1945 against a declared, armed and imperialist state that first attacked us. Reportedly, these two towns were targeted because the allies had received information that the families of the imperial Japanese military hierarchy had been secretly and safely sequestered away in these two out-of-the-way hamlets far from the primary war theatre of Tokyo and other large cities in Japan. It was reasoned, reportedly, that this hierarchy felt no compunction about sending the sons of others to die as kamikaze pilots or infantry as long as their own families were tucked safely away from harm. The allies believed the imperial military leaders in Japan would send every one of their male countrymen to their deaths and never surrender as long as they believed their own families would survive. President Truman made a monumental decision. Japan surrendered. The war ended. No nuclear weapon has since been deployed.
Sixty-two years later, it appears as though we have in America an imperialist-behaving political hierarchy which attacked a country without provocation and that seems to feel no compuction about sending the sons -- and even the daughters -- of their fellow countrymen off to die in a war which seems to have been launched and is being waged with "No End in Sight."
When Senator Obama becomes President of these United States, that will change. Moreover, the strategy and tact going forward will change. Senator Obama understands that America need not attempt to match the ruthlessness of its adversaries; it, instead, should attempt to match the righteousness of its own moral compass. By doing so, our allies and the rest of the world will be willing to join us in defeating the ruthless rogues.
Be proud that Senator Obama would say that he will not drop a nuclear bomb on a country in which a few thousand infiltrating rogues are holed up. Be impressed that he declared that these rogues will not escape their comeuppance. Be comforted by the fact that he will use measured force on the correct battlefield against the appropriate enemy accompanied by the most committed allies employing, jointly, the most energetic diplomatic initiatives pursued in tandem with the most superior military strategies designed to respect the sovereignty of abutting countries in a manner that seeks to spare innocent lives and eradicate only the menace.
Obama, the Oasis, amid the arid landscape of copycat candidates. May his effusive, ebullient waters continually refresh our hopes, re-hydrate our unity, and shower us with the aspirations of an America that never slakes its thirst for truth, justice and properity for all.
Vaya con Dios!

Senator Barack Obama really distinguished himself at the NAACP Convention when he paid homage to U. S. Supreme Court Thurgood Marshall's mentor, Charles Hamilton Houston, Equire. For history buffs and strategy supplicants, no other name epitomizes the profound ingenuity required to design and implement a nationwide assault on the intertwined set of mores, codes, customs and systemic collaborations that had been put in place to thwart the advancement of "colored" people in America, as the name of Charles Hamilton Houston. He was, indeed, the greatest! I am so very, very pleased to learn that Senator Obama recognizes Professor Houston's genius, sagacity and dedication to proding America toward true freedom for all of its citizens. Senator Obama's reference to Professor Houston confirms the Senator's appreciation for strategy . . . his appreciation for reflective, serious analysis in approaching formidable dilemmas. That gives me great comfort. Vaya con Dios!
Kudos to the Kansas City Globe newspaper for great coverage of the Kansas City Kick-Off Rally that took place on Saturday, May 12th, 2007.
Managing Editor Denise Jordon ran six full-color photographs with the rally story penned by yours truly in the Globe's Thursday, May 17th edition. It's the type of weekly newspaper that focuses on the profound, positive and progressive rather than the perverse, profane and pernicious. What great exposure! With the Globe's dedicated coverage, Kansas Citians will be able to keep track of Senator Obama's campaign as it unfolds over the next year and a half. Stay tuned!
Vaya con Dios!!
Dear Barack Obama Supporters:
The next time Senator Obama comes to Kansas City you've got to promise yourself that you'll not miss it!
Barack in the Bar-B-Que capital of the world . . . the Hawaiian in the Heartland . . . the Obama Obelisk in the Orb of Orbicular America!! What a day! What a rally!!
Known as the 'heart of America,' the Greater Kansas City area encompasses two states and eight counties. It's an epicenter around which revolves the type of people who define themselves by what they 'love' rather than what they 'loath.' And the young man named Barack Obama is, whether he knows it or not, is one of us. His dear mother was from Kansas and that entitles him to his "Kansas City bonafides." (Sorry, Hawaii, Indonesia and Chicago).
We cannot wait until he returns . . . and we'll be working like busy beavers for his campaign until he does.
It was splendid!!! Senator Obama's Kansas City Kick-Off was superb! Supporters from Missouri, Kansas and Nebraska were there in droves. The crowd was fired up . . . and when Senator Obama was introduced by Kansas City Councilman Terry Riley, the packed ballroom at the Downtown Marriott Hotel erupted in thunderous cheers!
I am predicting on this very Saturday, May 12, 2007, that Senator Barack Obama will become the Democratic Party's presidential nominee for 2008 and that he will beat Mitt Romney, the presidential candidate who will be chosen to represent the Republican Party. Barack Obama will become the next President of these United States of America!!!
