Our country has faced many hurdles in its short 200 years of existence. We have brought hope and peace to many who sought refuge and a better life. Souls from all countries and all walks of life diverged into one great nation. It is our plurality that makes us strong. There isn't one of us who has more claim on this nation than the other from those who had ancestors on the Mayflower to those who received their citizenship yesterday. We have all come together here in this vestige of hope and freedom. We are ONE nation and we are a great nation.
However, our country has also made many grievous errors.
As many of you know, I have been coming to this site for several weeks now. I originally came here to get answers to my questions. I was angry about things I had been hearing about the Obama camp. Instead of letting my anger fester and grow I came here to talk and get some answers. I was greeted by most with great enthusiasm. There were so many willing to answer my questions to the best of their ability. I decided to stay around and learn more.
As time has gone by and I have learned more about Senator Obama and what his movement is truly all about I have found myself pulled here day after day. I have read Senator Clinton’s issues page and Senator Obama’s issues page looking for the differences I needed to make an informed choice about who to support in this primary. I’ve asked questions on the blog. And, I’ve even prayed for guidance as this decision has been very difficult for me.
I would like to impress upon each of you the importance of the democratic party coming together after these primaries are completed.
As a strong Clinton supporter I have been welcomed here with opens arms by many of Obama's supporters. However, I have also been met with much anger, animosity and bitterness. I believe that it is important for those in the Obama camp to please keep in mind that they are only hurting their candidate by continuing with the hate speech.
I understand that many of you are very angry with Hillary right now because of some of the dirty campaigning. Many of you never liked her before the dirty campaigning. However, it is vital that you remember the only way we can take the general election is for all of us to come together under one candidate.
