My fellow Oklahoman's, Our nation is facing a pivotal point in our history. Our proud soldier's are on the battle field everyday fighting in a war that has no end. Each day hightens the frustration these men and women have as a result of poor leadership, the lack of vision and a leadership's refusal to accept its failures. In Oklahoma, all 77 counties have mourned for the loss of the heroes and heroins. From the hills of Love County to the valley's of Osage, crime has risen from the set of our television to the door steps of our neighborhoods. Too many of Oklahoma's schools have become day care's with books and Tulsa and Oklahoma Counties have bore the economic pain of loss jobs to oversees outsourcing or lobbyist bids to other cities. Where was our federal government when this year disaster ravaged half the counties of our state and it took the pleas of our Governor to bring fire to inepth FEMA. I understand we are conservative and have voted accordingly for decades, but its time that we evaluate what we want for our state, for our nation, for ourselves. It's time that we set aside our racial, social, political and spiritual differences and be open to the possibility of change. We need to have the Audacity to hope. Barack Obama represents the strong faith, fiscal conservatism, family values and the hopes we all have for our lives. While a politician in title, Barack is a visionary in heart. I challenge each of us to take a look at where we've been in the past and let's talk about where we want to be in the future and how the Obama plan can get us there.
