One of the reasons that I'm considering (not decide yet) to vote for Obama is that his faith is not a position of ignorance. He approaches a more modern liberal approach to faith which usually means a view of faith as an act of political protest against the values of empire.

I think this is great advice in theory and I'd love to have a president that told me exactly what he/she thought but I'm not sure it is realistic. Any politician must come to the realization that their lives will now be filled with 3 necessary evils:
Politicians that ignore those 3 things have a wide variety of titles and none of them are President.
It looks like the Obama campaign finally got the website working. I tried to signup over the weekend and the site was really slow. I couldn't even navigate around, but now it seems pretty good. This should be fun and I'm excited to be a part of the site and to support his campaign.
