Today Cindy McCain is in Vietnam assisting children with facial deformities. This is a noble cause, however right here in the U.S. children are suffering as a result of a series of natural disasters. Our children have lost their homes, security, and their peace of mind.
I propose that we as members for change assist in helping OUR children by setting up donations of toys, treats, clothes, blankets, etc., so that the children receive some comforts while they endure this unforeseen tragedy.
I think it would be GREAT for Michelle to visit the children in the US who are suffering right now, today. We could help her do this. YES WE CAN.

When the media grows up.
Experience is:
Knowledge: Obama demonstrated knowledge when he aggressively pursued delegates in the Caucus states.
Skill: Obama has demonstrated his skills as an organizer by beating the Clinton Machine hands down in organization, campaign unity, and innovative approaches.
Understanding: Obama recognized Americas need for change, critical thinking on the part of a leader and developed a message that resonated with the desires of the masses.
Know-how: Obama has demonstrated that he has the know-how of running and managing a massive campaign, further demonstrating his ability to manage a nation. He raised an enormous amount of money and generated a massive number or new voters.
While, Clinton ignored the small states, employed a divisive staff, changed her message constantly demonstrating irrational thought, and had to loan herself money.
On another note, McCain hides behind 527 groups to do his dirty work, had to sleep in roach motels and ride on a bus, has flip-flopped on numerous issues and has no REAL message, and has demonstrated the inability to control his own house occupied by lobbyist of terrorist.
So, who has real experience? I think the answer is clear, don't you?
Since the inception of American History, the cry for religious freedom set a precedent for the first amendment. In Article VI of the Constitution guiding principles were crafted to protect people from religious persecution.
In 1777, Thomas Jefferson drafted a bill that assured one’s rights to worship freely. Then in 1778 it was determined that:
· There would be no religious test, oath or other requirement for any federal elected office
· Quakers and others (could) affirm (rather than swear) their oaths of office
· (There would be a refrain) from recognizing the religion of Christianity, or one of its denominations, as an established, state church (The Virginia Bill on Religious Freedom, 1778).
Today, the US Department of Human Rights and and Labor asserts:
Given the U.S. commitment to religious freedom, and to the international covenants that guarantee it as the inalienable right of every human being, the United States seeks to:
· Promote freedom of religion and conscience throughout the world as a fundamental human right and as a source of stability for all countries;
· Assist newly formed democracies in implementing freedom of religion and conscience;
· Assist religious and human rights NGOs in promoting religious freedom;
· Identify and denounce regimes that are severe persecutors of their citizens or others on the basis of religious belief (http://www.state.gov/g/drl/irf/).
With this stated, it behooves me that any person could be scrutinized, defined, and attacked for freedom of religion. In order to worship freely the founding fathers left England. Have we lost sight of the importance of religious freedom in this country? Do we really want religion under a microscope? And should religion be a central theme in a Presidential Campaign?
I welcome your response!
I am incensed, angered, and infuriated at the medias blatant disregard for the feelings of all Americans. It is with deep antagonism that I find myself writing such a rant. When Obama uttered the word bitter merely translated as: resentful, unpleasant, angry, cheated, cynical or indignant; he media world created a cataclysmic division between white America with limited education and African Americans, educated Whites and the youth in this country. The media ran this story for weeks upon end. To add fuel to this flame the GOP also perpetuated the downward spiral of emotions based on a simple, true fact; people are bitter and angry, they do turn to religion, and if no one has notice the crime rate is at an all time high, so yes the over use of gun power has reared its ugly head even among our police officers.
Yet when HRC uses the term assassination translated as: murder, killing, elimination, or execution, in conjunction with the first viable African American running for the highest office in this country; the media contributes this asinine proclamation to tiredness and lack of sleep. Have we all forgotten Ron Brown? When the word assassination is articulated from the mouth of a Clinton, the world had better take it seriously. The media slept through this statement and insinuations of it on numerous occasions and here they are attempting to push this under the rug. For real? Am I dreaming? The amazing aspect of the coverage is revealed in the pundits they have interviewed, the biased media. I am sure the many Americans do not share their sentiments. While HRC decries media bias, sexism and inequity, I beg to differ. The media has been bias since DAY ONE!!!! HRC and all her cohorts felt there was no real need to work hard to lock up this nomination because she had it in the bag and then she woke up only to realize that hard work, determination, and intellect accounts for something in the world. She has come to the sad realization that power and privilege also has its limitations.
I hope we as a NATION do NOT allow her to sweep yet another divisive tactic under the rug while the World Turns.
