Hey there everyone. I just wanted to get everyones feedback on the illegal immigration issue.
What problems do you have in your state from it if any?
I have seen first hand the problem of illegal immigration. It is the new indentured servitude. I have been hit by and illegal immigrant who had no drivers liscense or insurance. I have employed legal residents who used illegal subcontractors and payed them nothing for their work. My insurance company and I have been charged $1,500.00 for a tetanus shot only to hear the president of the hospital say a week later that " we are having to charge people with insurance more to cover the costs of non paying illegal residents". Keep in mind I had a tetanus shot 5 years ago and then it only cost me $175.00. I have seen legal residents who made $250,000.00 a year working for me use medicaid to pay for his illegal girlfriends baby. I have seen my company loose jobs to other companies who employed triple the amount of workers because they payed them $50.00 a day. My workers made $180.00 a day and are all legal residents paying taxes. I know illegal immigrant workers who have said they don't care what legislation is passed they will never come forward because they have criminal records. Let me know what you guys think on this.

This is a song I wrote for my band Elements of Behavior. I wrote it out of frustration with the way our government is running America. I hope I can write a more positive song for my Grandchildren one day:)
I have a small construction business in East Texas. I recently have been approved as a contractor through the USDA's section 504 repair program. This program provides grants of up to $7,500 for home repairs to low income seniors 62 and over. When I first checked into this program, I thought that it was a wonderful way to help senior citizens maintain there homes. Most who apply have no family to help them and they themselves are usually incapable of fixing their homes because of health issues.
Man was I wrong!
This program is another failure of our government to help out those who made this country what it is today. The applicants who apply are in such bad financial and physical shape, that repairs to their homes have been overlooked for to long. Their houses are falling apart around them and what do we do to help them? We say here is $7,500.00 thats all you get. The problem with that is most of these houses need over $30,000.00 worth of work. The government tries to put a band aid on it and say look how good we are.
I could not be more disgusted with how our elderly are treated! These people made this country what it is today and we have turned our backs on them! They have had to choose between getting the inadequate health care they recieve and repairing the roof over their heads. Whay should they have to choose? We should do more to help them.
