After listening to Barack's Democratic Convention acceptance speech and message to the masses, if now is not the time, then I believe we will never have a chance to change our country and world. A time may come again, years later. But, we must take advantage of the opportunity of the energy, ideas and spirit involved in this historic campaign for the leadership of our country.
When has the last time this country felt so moved and inspired to be a part of such a movement?
When was the last time that you felt moved to work to take back politics in your local community, and national politics?
Are you saying too, "The time is now!"
Is your twelve year old daughter, or your elderly neighbor saying the same thing while you engage in political conversations?
As our children, the youth are moved by this campaign, let us think of them and empower their involvement and happiness as they view the Obama's on television, or listen to them speak at local rallies.
The time is now, for them just as much as it is for we adults.
Let us be encouraged and strengthened by his speech delivered on the 45th anniversary of MLK's "I Have A Dream Speech."
The time is now, and we will understand and benefit from acting on this in the days to come.
