I just launched a blog for Democrats against PUMA. please click HERE and visit.
PUMA, an organization that has coalesced in the wake of one of the most influential presidential races of our time, is dead-set on ruining this nation!PUMA is an organization that has formulated a plan to vote John McCain if Senator Barack Obama is “selected” the nominee at the Denver 2008 convention.FOX News, CNN, and even liberal media gods NBC, have given PUMA a chance to relay their aggression and give a real and informative response to their reasoning behind not supporting Barack Obama as the Democratic nominee. It is with great wit, cynicism, and ultimate joy, that I get to say- they have failed. Neil Cavuto of Fox News deemed the group, “sore losers,” even as PUMA continues to gain traction among angry Hillary Clinton supporters. This website was created in an effort to STOP PUMA, before they get any bigger the anti-Democratic rogue coalition of Republicans posing as Democrats and leading a flock of angry woen supporters under their wing must NOT continue to damage this party.

I am looking for passionate Obama supporters who would like to help blog over at ANTI-PUMA. If we can build a broad base of support, we can defeat PUMA and take the wind out of their sails!

Dear PUMA (Party Unity My Ass) and Democrats For McCain;
I am taking this opportunity to write this letter because of the media coverage FOX has been givng the angry Clinton supporters these days. A divided party will hurt in the fall! And will hurt even more if McCain gets the whitehouse!
-----
I will tell you right now that you are doing NOTHING for women’s rights. NOTHING. YOU ALL ARE HURTING womens rights. Why dont you get that? Why can’t you understand that simple concept?
Hillary will take your bum wrap.
Let’s play by your rules. You think with the media being “against” Clinton the way they are, if obama loses they wont pin it on the woman? They wont say Clinton divided that party? If you believe that, I’ve got a bridge to sell you.
women should be treated TRULY EQUALLY- not preferentially… not canonized, idolized, or worshiped, because they ran a horrible campaign. They should not get “better” treatment when they are running for office.. or be given MORE time to concede. No man has ever been defended for their hostility with the statements, “losing is hard.” That is not equal.
Mainstream media will compare every female candidate to run from then on to Clinton; her dirty campaign, her emotional supporters, and how they lost it for the Democrats in ‘08. Do you honestly think that wont happen? Or do you not care? You can’t see the forest through the trees.
I hear you clamoring about Obama stealing votes…
OBAMA stole votes?
He didn’t steal votes, FL and MI stole votes. OBAMA simply agreed to their rules. When did that become bad?
Obama fought to get those delegations seated the RIGHT way, not Clinton’s way. Clinton only cared about FL and MI after she learned that she won. FL was the only Democratic primary that had lower turnout than the republicans. THAT IS FAIR??? Please ladies, spare me with your crybaby antics..”waaaa clinton was robbed.” Bull, Clinton lied and said she was fighting to get FL and Mi seated but opposed both FL and MI state proposals for her OWN proposals which would jip the uncommitted voters of MI and the 30K write-ins for Obama. You don’t care about those people do you? You only care about your vote, right? So much for ” count every vote.”
The truly disenfranchised were the ones who didn’t vote on primary day. THEY are the ones who had no voice. BECAUSE FL and MI disenfranchised themselves by moving their primary dates ahead. The delegations would have been seated eventually- you little rabid Clintonites didn’t have to go screaming like a bunch of high school ex girlfriends harping about the inadequacy of the black male candidate. YOU LOOKED STUPID… PEOPLE LAUGHED AT YOUR IGNORANCE and the spokesperson for that entire episode became a racist new york woman whose vote DID count.
The proposals that EACH STATE DRAFTED.. THAT is what Obama agreed to..
you all harping on and on about the popular vote. Here's a hint: Clinton didn’t get 18 million votes. That is a very very large exaggeration by the Clinton campaign and in reality, Clinton did NOT win the popular vote. Obama won it. Another bout of sexism you women should be enraged about. If it had been a man, they wouldn’t have let him get away with that “fib.” but again, another example of the media going softer on Clinton because she proved she couldn’t handle the crossfire. When are you going to wake up and realize, politics 101, primaries are about delegates. They are not about popular votes. This was not Bush/Gore ‘00. Even if Clinton had been rewarded all of FL and MI’s delegates, she would have lost. Even if she had won the popular vote, she wouldn’t have won.
When do we realize that the DNC is a private organization and that by their allowing you to vote they are providing you with a service? It is an honor to vote in a primary. To be given the chance to decide. The DNC could just as easily, tomorrow, come out and say, "in 2012 we are holding an arm wrestling match to see who the next Democratic nominee is!" Primaries are not regulated by the constituion.
And so now what? Now you all threaten..er.. promise to support the man who “threatens”…er…”promises” to select supreme court judges to Roe. vs. Wade. Surely, you jest? Surely you can’t comfort yourselves with the naive ideology that because Bush didn’t do it. neither will McCain. Surely, Bush tried. Now, McCain, if elected, well get to select 3 more conservative supreme court judges. You wave it off?
Now you all plan to vote for the man who didnt even touch the Equal Rights Amendment, while Obama AND Clinton cosponsored it.
And you say you care about women’s rights? You have the audacity to speak of sexism?
Now you all plan to vote for the man who has no real concern about bringing troops home, who says he will “never surrender,” while clinton was adamant about wanting those troops to come home. While she cared enough to know that in a time of war, we need to think outside of ourselves, and end this illegal occupation.
Now you stand, searching for something positive about the opposing party, who your candidate of choice was running against. And you do it out of spite. She herself said her differences with Obama PALE in comparison to her stances with McCain. But that, you don’t hear.. correct?
You stand here, sycophantic in all your misery, and now you defend McCain’s “empty” promises, using it as a defense mechanism, yet callously hammer Obama on everything under the sun and accuse him of everything that doesn’t go your way. You stand enraged with all your mis-guided anger. You seem like lost children, living in a myriad of oxymora.
And you stand here, claiming to love Clinton- when she herself asked you all to support the winner. That wasnt for political expediency. That is because I like to think clinton wasn’t that selfish. I like to think Clinton wanted to change the foundation of this nation- and she knew with Obama we’d have a better chance. that is the irony here. While fighting for Clinton, you are effectively sealing her fate as a politician. With your media attention, and your signs, you are setting the foundation for the media to blame it all on you and Clinton… that is the great nonsensical plot here. To kill off clinton via McCain’s victory.
And this makes me wonder, had Clinton won, and had a wretched Obama supporter- your apparent enemy- dared to start a “coalition” against Clinton, wouldnt you all be wishing we would fall in line, support the candidate that won? Wouldn’t you all be saying, “she won.. get over it.”… me thinks you would be. And that, is just another of PUMA’s hypocritical stances.
So PUMA, when you decide you are “rioting” in Denver, I promise I will be right across the way holding my big sign: “PUMA doesn’t care about the 4,000+US dead troops OR women!”
See you there.
Signed,
A real democrat.
