Sarah Palin has flatly insulted the idea of community organzing. Does she know the her little barb insulted the Minutemen. The Minuteman <a href = " http://www.minutemanproject.com/"> Minuteman </a> are a perfect example of a community organizing and they hold very conservative on Illegal Immigration
Wikipedia defines community organizing is this
"Community organizing is a process by which people living in close proximity to each other, are brought together to act in their common self-interest. Community organizers act as area-wide coordinators of programs for different agencies in an attempt to meet community needs for various services. Community organizers work actively, as do other types of social workers, in community councils of social agencies and in community-action groups. At times the role of community organizers overlaps that of the social planners"
So I just use a very conservative group as an example of community organizing. That means this woman has no clue about what a community organizing is about.
Having a small-town mayor experience does not impress me. Real change comes from the grassroots and not from the executive office. Just me putting this blog demonstrate that Obama understands what the word grassroots means.
When people are very informed and who are experts in e-government get involved with the political process, than this nation is benefited
Any of us can be community organizers if we learn about e-government, social networking, and event planning. In my county, I do not have to be community organizer for Obama. My effort and passion is directed the ending the Drug War and ending the "Lockup Nation" (aka: get ridding of Death Penalty (to Life Without Parole), the Return of US Parole Commission for nonviolent offenders including drug offenders, and ending Three Strikes in California).
But yet, when I needed others to do the event planning and community organzing in the OC, I did not have to rely on myself. My own community did so. I have no contacts with OC Dem party but by November, I will have lots of new friends because community exists.
We did community organizing in OUR county and I did not have to rely myself to do it. Others took up the task and when it was time for me to gift my time to Obama, the OC showed me that OC for Obama was a great community.
So McCain and company want to think they have the solution. Well, remember Bill Clinton's line "It's economy stupid!". Well McCain, better pay attention to this passage from the London Times
""The data, combined with a call by the manager of the world’s biggest bond fund for the Government to inject more money into the banking system, spooked US investors already jittery about the outlook for the global economy. Bill Gross, co-chief investment officer of Pimco, said that the US was confronted by “systematic debt liquidation”. He added: “Unchecked, it can turn a campfire into a forest fire, a mild asset bear market into a destructive financial tsunami.”
Mr Gross said: “If we are to prevent a continuing asset and debt liquidation of near-historic proportions, we will require policies that open up the balance sheet of the US Treasury.”
Do you trust McCain or Obama more on the economy? We need more regulation, regulation, and more regulation. Senator Obama hands down.
This Special Commet is the kiss of death to the Republicans (http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/3036677/#24635229)
Be prepared for 60 Dems Senators in Congress. Harry Reid might have a filabuster-proof Senate. And a hurricane is going to New Orleans. A hurricane with major damage to the NO means 60+ Dems in the Senate.
Mitch McConnell wiill be smoked on an act of God. It is life. A hurricane to the NO is instant bling-bling to the dems. And I exist so so I can monitor the fraud, waste, and abuse that goes into the post-resovery scene.
Good Night and Good Luck. Debbie Cook for the House and Obama/Biden
Want to end the drug war. Than join Fedcure.org Yahoo Group. It is active website that discuss the federal penal nation and passionate supporters of Senator Obama are welcome. I joined it and I have my own plan to start the process to end the drug war. I had to join because I can draft Congressional Bills on my own but if you feel passionately to end the drug war than join Fedcure. Federal Penal Reform is first step in ending the Drug War.

For my fellow Feds, the new scoring system is about getting out of the message and not fundraising. And if it is getting out of the message, than us Feds say "Yes We Can" as long we do it own time or use personal devices such as PDAs during work hours to conduct campaign business.
We cannot fundraise under the Hatch Act but we can get out of the message and we know the system. because we are insiders. Our personal experience gives us a unique view of the political system because we live, eat and breathe what Congress and President passes as legislation.
Memo to John McCain,
Put an RSS in your official blog. Redstate runs their operation far better than you do. I can set shop on Red State and get into a good debate with smart conservatives. If we are really to solve this nation's problem, a person who is a liberal would set shop on a conservative website and encourage conservative's to critique his viewpoint
But McCain is Moron and does not blogging 101. Well, memo to you, you will lose will the General Election.
Or else you are lead from California. And that is embrassing and especially when it is the OC. You got one and yet I know your politics like a hawk. I do read mlive.com and the Detroit Free Press daily.
Michigan stand up. You got one for the Obama Nation and it is insult when your group is led from California and especially in the OC.
But if you cannot stand up, then I will do it. Obama cannot lose Michigan and if the state cannot start a grassroots movement, that I run the grassroots movements out of the OC. I know your papers, your penal code, and probably more information than God on your state.
Take pride in you state and do not let the OC run your grassroots movement. Or else, the OC will take control of your state's grassroots movement, The guy who leads the grassroots movement is very infomed on Michigan politics so do not fear.
Where is the Michigan Obama Nation outrage aganist the mayor of Detroit. Again, this comes from the OC,
Detroit poltiicis is messed up. Detroit needs a good Blue Dog Dem to clean up house in the city. The last mayor makes a mockery for us Dems. From the Detroit Free Press
"ree from jail, tethered Kilpatrick returns to cheers from top staffMayor never mentioned a possible resignation, spokesman saysBY ZACHARY GORCHOW FREE PRESS STAFF WRITER August 8, 2008 * article * Print this page * E-mail this article * Share this article: * Del.icio.us * Facebook * Digg * Reddit * Newsvine * Whats this?Detroit Mayor Kwame Kilpatrick concluded a 10-minute meeting with his staff in which he thanked them for their work in city services, but gave no indication that he is planning to resign. And Kilpatrick has apparently reassumed his mayoral powers after Deputy Mayor and Chief of Staff Kandia Milton took over Thursday. Moments after Kilpatrick entered city hall, his staff submitted two mayoral vetoes -- signed by Kilpatrick -- striking down a council ordinance lowering the threshold requiring council approval of contracts to $5,000 from $25,0000.Advertisement"Mayor Kilpatrick never spoke the word 'resignation' at all," said mayoral spokesman James Canning.Canning said Kilpatrick got a rousing round of applause from the staff, which included department directors, deputy directors and staff from the mayor's office on the 11th floor.Asked if Kilpatrick told the staff and that he planned to fight on and stay in the job, Canning would only say that Kilpatrick thanked the staff for their hard work and said their work is helping the city move forward. The meeting appeared to break up at about 4:25 p.m.Later, Canning issued a prepared statement in which he said the mayor, "told the staff he plans to continue his work on moving an aggressive agenda forward for the city of Detroit."Kilpatrick arrived at the Coleman A. Among those arriving were fire commissioner Tyrone Scott, chief financial officer Norman White, planning and development director Douglass Diggs and public lighting director Charlie Beckham"
Here is another crazy Obama conspiracy theory on the Internet. Boy, there are people who really misinformed about Senator Obama and kind of crazy. Well, here is what i found
There is a strong conspiracy theory gaining momentum that Barack Obama will win the Presidency via vote manipulation. Once President, he will after a short period convert to Islam and impose muslim rule on the US ( The wheels have already been set in motion with with Tyson Foods in Tennessee replacing Labor Day with Eid al-Fitr a Muslim Holy Day - check it out if you don't believe it!!) . It is said that events are being manipulated to bring about a religious war in the US, were Right Wing Extremists Militias supported by factions of the US MIlitary will seize control plunging the country into chaos. A charismatic leader will emerge proclaiming a New World Order lead by the US. Peace will reign for 2 years then get ugly again as it is understood that the "charismatic leader" will be no other than the Antichrist himself! World War will then be realised with most of the earths population wiped out. The events have been calculated to coincide with an "End of Days" scenario hearalding the Rapture prior to Christ returning with the Second Coming in 2012. All these events were documented by Nostrodamus apparently so be warned!
What a nut
I have found the defination to Obamanomics on Investopedia. Here is the defination
"A buzzword that describes the economic philosophy of 2008 democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama. Obamanomics calls for lower tax rates for companies that meet certain criteria, such as providing decent healthcare and maintaining a U.S. workforce and headquarters. Obama's economic platform also calls for higher taxes for high-income families and investment in education, healthcare and the sciences. Obamanomics generally stands in opposition to supply-side, or "trickle-down", economics, which holds that people (including the rich) should keep more of what they earn because they will spend that money, promoting economic growth. Obamanomics shares some similarities with Keynesian economics, which states that active government intervention and monetary policy can smooth out bumps in economic cycles and promote stability."

People like this make me scratch my head. I just have no clue where sources are they are using to draw their conclusions. It is without fact or basis. Olbermann would destroy them.
This conservative blog is an example of the misinformation that is being promoted in blogsphere (http://beartracks.wordpress.com/). Either this person is engaged in a campaign of deceit or we have somebody that so misinformed and believes the right-wing propaganda that comes from the Republican machine.
If it is point one, than that person is not dumb. Obviously we have a passionate conversative that believes in conservatism but in order to preserve the movement, he uses misinformation and slogans to ensure that people believe in the status quo and not take a gamble on the change that Senator Obama promises to do.
If it point two, than you are a moron. You are fodder for the "Worst Person in the World". For being a moron, you deserve the reward and earn a nice trophy for being today's "Worst Person in the World"
My worst person in the world is EL Rushbo for this
Listen To It! WMP | RealPlayer
El Rushbo you are the worst in the person in the world
McCain is a lost with word. Thanks Countdown (the best political show in America) for providing this clip
(http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=-763926171486739007&q=obama)
John McCain is a low-tech President. According to the Govexec Fedblog, Mr. McCain is
"Apparently so. John McCain revealed in a New York Times interview this weekend that he's pretty low-tech himself. He told the paper he relies on his wife and and two aides to deal with this whole Internet thing. “They go on for me,” he said. “I am learning to get online myself, and I will have that down fairly soon, getting on myself. I don’t expect to be a great communicator, I don’t expect to set up my own blog, but I am becoming computer literate to the point where I can get the information that I need.”"
Well that is good, But Obama is light year's ahead of you.
"
I listen to excerpts from speech and I am impressed with Obama command of history and historical (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BSSWpe79MNI&feature=user). Obama takes a realistic view of foreign policy and knows the lesson of history based on his speech
The last administration is remembered through this (http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/3036677/#24635229). That is the most scathing Olbermann Special Comment on Bush on Foreign Policy. I play this clip over and over again to show this administration has failed foreign policy.
When you are remember on 12 minute Keith Olbermann rant, than you are one of the worst Presidents in American history. Your legacy has earned this scathing this special commentary. Instead of remembered of being a good President, this administration is now remembered on a Keith Olbermann special commentary.
Because of Special Commentary, I cannot vote for McCain. I cannot. I need to vote for Obama and fuels to get involved with politics. The problem is that I am different animal.
But this post is going nuts. Because I am on point. Mr. Olbermann word makes angry. And then I decided it is time that the American People get access to Congress on a mobile phone. Sorry, Congress and Mr Bush. The American people people now have access to Congress on Mobile Phone
(http://www.t9space.com/power/m/http/thomas.loc.gov/cgi-bin/dailydigest)
Bookmark that site. Because that site will be eyes and ears on Congress. Congress on Mobile Phone.
They put their shit on the net and they think that the US people would not know about this. Sorry, Harry Reid and Nancy Pelosi, you are now accountable to the American people. Because Congress needs to learn that Congress is now accessible on a mobile phone.
Obama wants to make change on the durg war and the end of the US prison-industrial complex and have it pass the Senate. Than this what Obama must do
(http://www.prisontalk.com/forums/showthread.php?t=350523)
That is done my me.
We cannot afford to have the influence of people like Karl Rove in the White House. Mr. Rove does not know the word accountablilty means. According to this article to Govexec
Courts have found executive privilege does allow witnesses to refuse to appear at congressional hearings, but does not cover former White House officials and does not apply to decisions not involving the president, according to a ruling approved by the subcommittee. The White House has said President Bush was not involved in issues Rove was asked to discuss.
Whatever its legal merits, a contempt finding against Rove faces several hurdles. After the subcommittee's vote today, the full committee and the House would have to vote on a contempt charge.
As with a contempt finding last year against former White House Counsel Harriet Miers under similar circumstances, the U.S. attorney for the District of Columbia, responding to White House instructions, would likely refuse to prosecute contempt charges.
House lawyers are pursuing the charge against Miers and White House Chief of Staff Josh Bolten in U.S. District Court in a case unlikely to conclude this year. Action against Rove could follow a similar route."
All Mr. Rove is tell the truth. He no longer for the Bush administration. He works on Fix News as a political commentator. Unless he commited a crime, testifying to Congress willl not hurt him.
Or did Mr. Rove is worthy of being charged with a federal crime? And that is why hiding from testifying from Congress
To tie this post to Obama, Obama is the type of candidate that would not abuse the doctrine of executive privilage like the Bush Administration. I just trust Obama far more than McCain. McCain's campaign invokes legacy of the Bush Administration and incidents just like described.
One of things that McCain and Obama need to be very careful is about spending. Yes, this is not popular in progressive circles but government does have difficult fiscal issues that American needs to face in the future.
According to another article that I read in the Chicago Tribune this morning states
"When it comes to spending, though, Obama is even worse. The National Taxpayers Union Foundation added up all the promises made by the two candidates and found that McCain's would cost taxpayers an extra $68 billion a year. Obama's add up to $344 billion a year. The Illinois senator's pledge to get tough on unnecessary expenditures is as solid as cotton candy. Among his vows is to "slash earmarks to no greater than what they were in 2001," but earmarks make up less than 2 percent of the budget. Trying to restore fiscal discipline by cutting earmarks is like trying to lose weight by adopting an exercise program for your left index finger. Obama claims he'll pay for all his new spending with new revenues and spending cuts. But like McCain, he has been hazy on the details. And it will be far easier for him to get Congress to approve new spending than to enact the measures needed to pay for it. Unless Obama is willing to take on his own party with the veto pen, we should expect four more years of irresponsible budgeting. His only defense is that he would not have to make up as much lost revenue as his rival. The Tax Policy Center says his tax plan would cut federal receipts by $2.7 trillion over the next decade, compared with $3.6 trillion for McCain. The details differ, but the basic picture is the same regardless of who wins: Washington will spend more, red ink will roll down like a mighty river, and we as a nation will continue to dodge the critical choices we face."
The GAO has done a number of studies on this issue and David Walker, toured the country in what he called the "Fiscal Wake-Up issue". If you go to the GAO website, you should be able to pick up a series of presentations that discuss this issue in greater detail.
(http://www.gao.gov/cghome/d08604cg.pdf) & (http://www.gao.gov/cghome/d08524cg.pdf) & (http://www.gao.gov/cghome/d08583cg.pdf)
The problem is that this gets in Bluedog territory. I know the progressive wing of the party does not like the Bluedog wing of the party. However, they do have point that needs to be listen to the progressive wing of the party before we engage into any large-scale new government programs such as national healthcare.
A discussion needs to be made how we are going fund these programs. A discussions needs to be made on how the government needs to get revenue and what programs that create no to little return on investment needs to be eliminate. The national healthcare plan must be create value or else we are going to create a boondoogle problem that will put in more debt and creates little return on investment for the American people.
It is time for this discussion to began in the grassroots. The time is now.
A lot of people are disappointed that Obama capitulated on FISA. Me too. But in a recent Chicago Tribune op-ed piece, the move to the center is the same thing that Nixon did 1968. The article states
"That's why Obama appears to be following Nixon's old dictum: Run toward your party's base in the primaries, then move back to the center for the general election. Bill Clinton did the same, calling it "triangulation." Obama's taking a risk by following the same strategy, but he's smarter to lurch to the middle of the road in midsummer than to risk becoming roadkill in the fall."
The purpose of this strategy is simple. He wants to become and lure the independents iand certain moderate Republicans instead following the whims of the progressive left. Most Americans that I know including conservative Chirstians follow into this group. That is why Obama is doing that and so he can also shore voters in Ohio, Michigan, and Pennsylvania.
