I'm looking forward to a candiate who is willing and able to answer back to some of the really underhanded and twisted things the Republicans tend to do and say during the election process. Here's one idea I had.
Should John McCain say something in a debate about Democrats continued use of the "100 years in Iraq" line. Look him right in the eye and say we will stop as soon as he stops saying that you want to surrender.
The point, and I think most Americans get this, is that there is fundamentally different thinking about the Middle East and our armed forces. John McCain seems to think that bases in the region are necessary to maintain peace. The fact is that there will be no peace in the Middle East as long as our armed forces are there. That was the whole rational behind the Sept. 11 attacks. The extremists didn't like us occupying their holy lands. We should respect that and get out.
The US can no longer treat these sovereign nations as if they were just puppets for us to play with
