Barack like all of our generation missed the sixties and look back at those years with fondness for the movement towards peace and justice. For the past forty years absolutely nothing has happened with any great movement pace to improve the lives of poor people below the poverty line and the middle class squeeze and those working poor striving to reach the middle class.
People well off in the Country with the security of home ownership and 401k's, stock investments don't know what it's like to be born into poverty and devastation. The talking head pundits the MSM need to get off the cushioned chairs in which they sit and travel this Country from Urban to Rural America and see the struggle of real Americans and the reality that the Washington Status Quo sell outs have done to this Country with there policies.
Barack's platform of Community Involvement is stirring up a whole lot of trouble for a lot of well paid and promised politicians throughout this Country. Because we are starting to look around and see the truth of the average politician which is the majoriity in both parties who get paid to play the game and we will start opposing there lifetime seats in our communities all across this country.
Our politicians, preachers and reverends who promised our votes without our consent are realizing that Barack has opened the eyes of Americans of all walks of life putting the POWER back in the hands of the PEOPLE. What a great journey to be on with the fearless leadership of Barack Obama.
The MSM and political pundits coudn't see a movement is the millions of Barack supporters were standing in there face. How can you gauge a grass roots movement with polls and talking heads.
When I think of all the love and inspiration this blog, your votes and voice having given Barack the wind beneath his wings I am hopeful that Country will give him a chance to be the greatest President in the 21st Century. Although, it won't be easy and he knows that but together we can will and vote him to VICTORY. Never give up, Never surrender. As Adam Clayton Powell said keep the Faith Baby!
Barack Obama reminds me of the Diana Ross Song Reach Out and Tough somebody's hand make this World a better Place if you can. Yes We Can!
We are really showing the world how great our wonderful American Democracy performs. The world has always been inspired by our ability to make a difference by setting the tone of tolerance and caring for the humane race. However, not respecting opposition, not respecting different ideas, or a new look at our Politics is embarassing. To believe hope and inspiration is a bad thing we are in trouble. I'm embarassed to be a Democrate which i'm sure makes Republicans happy. The major media outlets are depressing to watch as they analyze The Clinton's cutthroat politics and then report it's from both camps a hard thing to watcch. Barack has so many hurdles in front of him and I respect his professionalism and I love what he's trying to do by uplifting our spirits and inspiring many people to care about the politic process. Hillary and Bill are arguing the same old talking points. Challenging new ideas and a new vision then bringing up teenage drug abuse, the muslim religion which is untrue and then race the card. Pinning the old against the young. If blacks vote in very high numbers in South Carolina or anywhere else it becomes he's the Blacks candidate but why can't blacks be inspired like Iowa, New Hampshire and Nevada. Now pitting Blacks against latinos. What's next. This can break up the party despite what the usually black leaders are talking about knowing if the Clinton's get in they want there handout. The younger generations of black, white, latino and asian americans are tired of business as usual. Barack's message of doing the same thing and expecting a different result is so now and he has a lot of the politians nervous who use the senate and congress for longevity, pension benefits and personal gain are afraid a wave of accountability will sweep across the Country and stop all the theft and in house pay to play from both parties. So I really do understand all the misinformation and distraction. The talk of Barack being Hillary's VP is ludicrious he should never associate his good character with dirty politics. We are all Americans White, Black, Brown, Yellow the fringes of hate in all races are minimal.
