Join us for the easiest form of campaign involvement I can think of and is the most fun! Honk and wave in Peterborough...a visibility event. Click the link above to learn more about this Saturday.
Please help my effort get noticed and carried on. I started an event for this weekend and will be updating and keeping it going. I am looking to counter the McCain/GOP ads and silliness behind protests of Obama's Energy Plan. Please look at the following link, digg it, link it, share it...lets get Obama's energy plan taken seriously.

My last name is misspelled...Lengille instead of Langille. The event I started was passed around earlier but I will link it again as it has some updates. Obama is a leader we can stand behind, let's show the world now. Stand with me in showing the world that Obama has it right and we are willing to follow from his leadership.
I have created a new event under the NH page, however anyone can join. I was struck by an article found through a link on CNN.com yesterday. The article talked about how GOP people were mocking Obama's energy plan and stated that he was out of touch. They were mailing out tire pressure gauges titled Obama's energy plan. The article went on to back the Obama energy plan and stated that there is scientific data to back Obama's plan and that it was truthful to state that if everyone in America used a tire pressure gauge and properly inflated their tires, then the USA could save the equivalent of drilling offshore in the gulf. I want everyone to pledge to buy Tire Pressure Gaugest this weekend to show the world that we believe in Obama's plan and are ready to take his lead and do what is asked of us to help our country and our planet. Join with me and purchase tire gauges, if you already have them and use them, then purchase a few and hand them out with the message from Obama...that we can do this together.

I was driving around last night, gazing at Christmas lights on neighborhood homes, as it is a long tradition of mine since I was a child. I happened upon a home that I had once canvassed. It was the home of an older woman, that claimed to have been a long time diehard democrat since "before I was born." She was kind, told myself and my partner a brief overview of the history of dem's in NH. She said she liked Barack, but wasn't sure if she could give him her vote yet. Let's just say there is a yard sign in her yard now, as well as her neighbors who was for Clinton at the time we canvassed. What a sight it was to see. I remember leaving there, saying to myself that I was very glad to have "planted a seed" that day. My partner and I did not challenge her, we did not debate with her. WE LISTENED. We were polite and kind; she noted that all the Obama volunteers were this way and very much unlike the other campaigns. I remember that we left her literature on his experience, because that was what was resonating with her most. She just felt he didn't have enough experience. I guess she thinks differently now.
Just remember, it is only seed planting with smiles. I ask more questions than give answers. I listen with empathic ears and politely and earnestedly thank them for their time. It is literally that simple. If I ask a question, it makes them think. I believe, with my counseling background that there is answers within every one of us. If we ask the right question, we can lead them on their on personal search. If we leave them with literature, it values their time, because they can read it in leisure. I always ask if they want some lit on an issue, never can I leave you with something to read. I find it puts them on the spot to say yes, take it, and then a conviction to read it because they asked for it. It is simple and I encourage all of you to get involved and try it out.
Okay this is a "do it" encouragement. Don't have much time? Intimidated by phoning or knocking on doors? The do this:
We, from my Peterborough, NH community have been doing this for a few weeks now. We are growing and the movement is really hitting big. We started out by standing out on the corners of a major intersection in town. We have the crossing of two highways in town. We stand there with signs, sometimes with bumper stickers to hand out and wave to people as they pass by. We use mostly homemade signs with a few campaign signs. It is fun, and invigorating.
People honk, wave, give the thumbs up. It sends warmth and chills up and down the body. Yes it was even nearly 0 degrees one week. So what we say. The warmth of this campaign and the fun with our friends keeps us warm. We do it from 9:30 am until 11:00, where after we meet for coffee and cocoa at our weekly organizing summit.
Try this. Message me for details in getting started if you are struggling to make it work. We started iwth just a few of us, and now we have so many doing it we are covering other towns too. Here is the link for our details. Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays, and Happy New Year.

Come join us at the above link for a morning of visibility. All you need to do is bring a smile. If you would like to make a sign, bring that too. We will be standing out on the corners of Rte 101 and 202 for loads of fun. When our group breaks the ranks of 8, we will also being doing more locations. So help us flood the community with lots of visibility. We would like to spread cheerful spirits of waving and smiling to all that pass by. This past Saturday we had 10 of us Standing out in the snow banks.
We had incessant honks and thumbs up all morning. It was so invigorating! So inspiring! Join us for this highly non confrontational campaigning event. It's a NH tradition. It's easy. And you will get to meet lots of lovely people as I have over these past few weeks.
Afterwards, we will be canvassing the neighborhood with cheerful campaigning. Join us for that as well. It is so rewarding and enjoyable. I have done about a dozen of these now and they are getting better every time. Bring friends, we love friends.
Wow! what an amazing experience. My most favorite part of the night was, when everyone was starting to leave. I stood in the corridors just outside the seating area. I wave to people and thanked them for coming and wished them "safe travels home." Let me tell you, the smiles from people as the headed out into the snowstorm to head home, was all the energy I needed for my 1.5 hour trip home. I was supposed to be collected supporter cards...well, after a few minutes of noticing that people were not turning in cards, because they had done so already to one of the hundred or so other staff/volunteers...I decided to leave smiles on peoples faces as they headed out into the blistery cold.
What an amazing event. Barack took on the Verizon Center for not allowing Union workers to set up the staging there. The Verizon has some policy about not hiring union workers, and Barack called them on it because he believes in union workers and uses union crews to set his staging for campaign events. It just goes to show the leadership skills this candidate has.
As Barack closed the night, the place was cheering, rocking out loud, in awe all at every phrase of his energized and eloquent speech. Barack Obama was in his prime and it has me all the more Fired up and Ready to Go.
Join me in helping Barack Obama get elected. Together we will stand united and together we will see Barack Obama become President of the UNITED States of America in 2008. Volunteer at your local office today! It is happening:)
