First NO ACTION on Don't ask don't tell-even though on this very site under issues, DADT was going to be "One of the first things to change" we are waiting............................ Still Waiting...................................... Then the OBAMA ADMINISTRATION DEFENDS DON'T ASK DON'T TELL! I went to several rallies, spent hours waiting in line, Donated $1,000.00 out of 10 mos. of disability checks, and NEVER left the house without an OBAMA Shirt, Sweatshirt or hoodie for this??? Now today the OBAMA ADMINISTRATION defended DOMA!!!!! With what only can be described as VERY offensive language! Well Happy F#$KING PRIDE WEEK TO US! And I haven't even gotten into the backsliding on the Environment, The Wars, Taxing Healthcare????? WHAT HAPPENED TO THE OBAMA THAT WE SAW BEFORE THE ELECTION? Our President Needs Our Voices!

Dear Friends, President Obama needs us to help overcome the Republicans obstructionism. Even though he has reached across the isle, in ways I have never seen in my 50 years, all he got in return is a Cold Shoulder! It is now up to us, the Millions who support him and want Real change, to speak up! And it is EASY! If you have a phone you can call your Congress members. If you have pen and paper you can Write them, but let your voices be HEARD! The right wing is sure talking, and if we don't step in to remind them that they got us into this mess, they will keep us in this mess! The only people making money right now are the Fat Cats who have intrenched leaders in the congress trying to stop CHANGE! If you would like to help our President, call congress, tell them what you support. Be sure to be polite and respectful, give them your Name and address, tell them to write you and explain there feelings on the Economy, BUT TELL THEM TO SUPPORT OUR PRESIDENT! Make sure to tell them that they work for WE THE People wether we voted for them or not. The GOP leader in the Senate is Sen. The Obama Campaign is ignoring Kentucky!

Why is the Obama Campaign ignoring Kentucky? I know we don't have a lot of delegates. I know there is a 30 point lead for Mcain, according to the polls. But as we all know POLLS CAN BE WRONG! I am 50 years old, I have been regerstering voters for many years, and I am telling you there is a LOT OF SUPPORT FOR OBAMA in Kentucky! This is supposed to be a republican state, but you hardly see any Mcain signs at all, but you sure see OBAMA signs, and stickers! New voter registration is up very dramatically, 2/3 for democrats, and for the first time in over a decade Democrats out number Republican registrations by a wide margin! But people in Kentucky want to know they matter! If Obama can't come to speak send his wife or Hillary, or even Bill Clinton! I have been trying to order signs from the store since August 18th, 10 of them! I have called 4 times to see what has been holding up my order, I am told they are having trouble getting the metal rods! Go to Ohio, I have been told! Well I went to Ohio, and they have plenty of signs, but they say OHIO FOR OBAMA! Ignore this state and it will go Mcain, and I think that would be a tragedy! People in this state, like every where else in this country want REAL change, not more of McSame! We are hurting like everyone else, and I think there is a real opportunity here, but not if we are ignored! Even our Democratic Headquarters in Covington can't get campaign Button's, Sticker's, or Signs! They too are feeling forgotten and demoralized! Please, please Senator OBAMA, or your staff, PLEASE DON'T IGNORE KENTUCKY! We want you to win, and we want to be a part of it! Very Sincerely, Carl D. Fox

Mcain will cost you your health care!

Dear Friends, I hope you have been reading up on the candidates intentions for our country. One item that seems to surprise most people that I have spoken to is John Mcain's Health care policy. He intends to TAX your health care as income! I find it pretty ballsy for him to accuse OBAMA of planning on raising everyones taxes, when Obama has made it clear that only those making over $250,000.00 dollars a year will have their taxes raised! Everyone else will see their taxes GO DOWN, and receive a tax rebate to help with our current economic problems. In addition he intends to lower taxes on small business! As an owner of a small business, I assure you that if Mcain is elected and starts taxing the health benefits that we give our employees, we will be forced to drop our employee health plan! How in the world Mcain thinks by increasing TAXES on small businesses is going to help or solve the health care crises is beyond me. But then again, how you can trust a man who says he respects our troops, but votes against giving them the same veteran's benefits that our WWII vets got. And votes to "Enhanced Interrogation Techniques", a bill that passed into law and signed by Bush, that would make the exact techniques used to torture Mcain in vietnam legal. Is also beyond me! Wake up America, do you really want a man for president who has supported Bush over 90% of the time in the last eight years running this country? We need change, REAL CHANGE, not four more years of the same old lies and politics as usual. If you don't believe me, go to his website and look up his answers on the issues, check the Congressional record, check the facts! And check out Obama's site as well, then vote for real change! I managed to register another new Democrat this evening! It's really not hard, just talk to people about the last eight years and the rest is easy! I think that makes a couple of hundred since spring, and there is still almost a month to go! So get out there and start talking, and start registering! The Polls Lie!

Dear Friends, Don't believe the national polls you see! They only represent those with hard wire phones, and those that have voted before. As we know there has been a huge increase in voter registration, the vast majority of which has been Democrat. In addition how many people use hard wired phones versus cell phones? These polls are meant to discourage the thousands and thousands of people who will be voting for the first time, don't let them ! Our time is now, we must stay united and strong if we are to take back our country from the special interests that have gained control of our nation! The Rupert Murdocks of the world don't want us to win, they like the status quo! They control our media,our energy, our food, our banks, our very lives. If you want change, I mean if you REALLY want change, keep your eyes looking forward, keep your focus on the election, and donate, money, time, YOUR VOICE! Talk to your neighbors, family, strangers, everyone you meet! Ask them if they are happy with the way things are, or if they believe that we as a nation can do better. I never leave the house without an OBAMA shirt or button on, I have signs on my business, home, and car. I want people to confront me, to ask why I support OBAMA. It gives me a chance to talk with them about ALL the challenges our nation faces. I don't fight with them, I just talk, and most times they agree! I don't know if I have changed minds, but I do know that I have gotten them to think about were we are as a nation. Hopefully that in itself will change minds! In addition, when I see a poll that says Mcain is ahead or even, I call or write that media outlet and let them know my opinion, because so far none of the polls have called or contacted me! One other thing, I show up at OBAMA rallies, and also at Mcain rallies, I want people to see and count me. We can not afford four more years of the same old games, and the only way we stop it is to play by new rules, OUR RULES! Get out there and FIGHT! get people registered, get people to think about their country and their own circumstances, and we will succeed! YES WE CAN, YES WE WILL, WE MUST! Peace&Love... Carl D. Fox

I have 1 House!

Dear People, Do you make $5,000,000.00 a year? Do you have 7 Houses? Do you have a feeling that the economy, or the Banking Industry is sound, then I urge you to vote for Mcain! But if you have 1 house, make a modest income that no longer keeps up with inflation, if you dread the next utility bill, the next gasoline fill up, the next trip to the grocery or are worried wether your job will be there tomorrow or next week! If you are struggling to take care of your family, worried wether you are saving enough for your retirement, or you have a loved one serving proudly in the military, then your choice can't be clearer, VOTE FOR OBAMA & BIDEN! I have had the great blessing of living to the age of 50! But for the first time in all those years I am TRULEY worried for this Nation, and this Planet. What will happen if we have 4 or 8 more years of the same! I thought Nixon was a crook, but Bush makes him look like Mother Teresa! Under Ronald Reagon I couldn't find a job even to buy one, and I have worked since I was 15! But even he didn't have the debt that Bush has left us and our children and our children's children to deal with. And Mcain has stood by while all this happened and now embraces President Bush and his failed policies! There was a time that I would have voted for Mcain, when I thought he stood against the lobbyist's, when he spoke plainly and honestly, but the powers in the Republican Machine made it clear; Change to our way of thinking or you will never be a candidate for President. So he drank the "Kool Aid", and he changed! He is no longer the "Maverick" that I had so much respect for, even when I disagreed with some of his positions, I at least felt he was honest. But after some of the out right lies that he has put in commercials against Obama, I can no longer believe in him. He has even endorsed President Bush's "Enhanced Interrogation Techniques",the very same techniques that would make the Torture that John Mcain went through LEGAL! I have 1 house, or I should say had. I am now disabled. I can't own anything, I had to go on Disability and Welfare! Why? Because unfortunately I have been sick since the day I was born. I have suffered with many, many illnesses all my life. My Doctors wanted me to Disable out 30 years ago, but I went on, but 2 years ago my insurance reached $1,400.00 a month, and was increasing 30% a year! It would currently be over $2,000.00 a month. I just could not make it any more, I had to go on the "dole" as my late father would say. I am not proud or happy about this, but I love Life, and I want to live! But I need Universal Health Care! And don't misunderstand me, I DON'T WANT FREE HEALTH CARE! I want something that I can reasonably afford. My doctors tell me never to lift over 12 pounds again, my legs and arms are failing, and they tell me that anytime I lift more than 12 pounds I can take another day off of using them, but I would drop my disability in a second and go back to work. and work till I drop if I could get affordable Health Care, it was how I was raised! These are the issues I feel that we as a Nation are facing in this election, and someone who doesn't even know how many homes he has can't possibly understand! And that is why I am voting proudly for Obama, and urge everyone I know to do the same! Sincerely, Carl D. Fox

It's Time To Speak Up!

It is getting scary out there, Mcain is staying even in the poles, and considering the state of our nation, this is WIERD! I appreciate that Senator Obama wants to stay positive in this campaign, but the rest of us DON'T! I'm tired of Mcain getting away with LIES and SLANDER when talking about OBAMA, and we, his supporters, have to start speaking up, and pointing out these LIES! Mcain constantly says that OBAMA does not have good judgement, but he had the good judgment of standing up against this insane and costly war in Iraq, that has gotten us nothing but more dead bodies, and created a rising tide of resentment among those who would be Terrorists! Obama, like so many of us, knew that the real enemy was Al Quida and Osama Bin Laden- you know the one who masterminded 9/11! Obama had the good judgement to know that the real fight was in Afganistan. Mr. Mcain has used every dirty trick in the book to try and scare Americans to question Obama's patriotism, motives, religion, hell he even stated that Obama was using the race card, all while putting out ads that were blatentley racist! Every time I have heard Obama speak, he has refered to Mcain as an American hero and patriot. Why he is considered a hero, because he was held as a prisoner? Their were many Americans held captive, some murdered, why does Senator Mcain have a monopoly on this issue? Mr. Mcain has refused to release ALL of his military records, something that Senator Kerry did when he ran for office! Why? Is there something in there that he is not proud of? Kerry saved many lives while risking his own, another hero, but the Rove Machine turned him into some kind of traitor because he spoke out against the Vietnam War, after he was thru with his service, gee I thought that was the freedom that All our soldiers fight for! Mcain says he supports the troops, but then opposed exspanding the GI bill, calling it too exspensive and generous to our troops, some support! I saw on the news the other day that Mcain has 10 Houses,10! And yet he would deny our troops a GI bill that he says is to generous! And how in the world would someone with 10 houses ever know how hard it is for the majority of us to just get by on a daily basis. Does anyone think that Mcain understands the fear many of us have of losing our jobs, opening up the next utility bill, seeing the price of gasoline, or the tally of our grocery receipt! It is up to us to point out these things, and other issues to our friends, neighbors, coworkers, and even complete strangers. I never leave the house without an Obama shirt or button on. My car has an Obama sticker on it, and there is a yard sign in front of my house! I want people to engage me in conversation. I passionatly discuss the current state of our nation and ask them if they are better off, can they afford more of the same, are they truly satisfied with how our country is headed! We cannot afford to continue down the same road we have been on for the last administration, and that is EXACTLY what we will get with Mcain! I have given out buttons, t-shirts, yard signs, and then bought more. We must stand up to the ROVE/REPUBLICAN smear mongers who will use whatever trick, no matter how dirty to get their man elected! They stole the 2000 and 2004 elections, we cannot let them have this one! If Obama doesn't like getting down in the dirt, I can respect that, but his opponent has no such problem! It is up to us to take the Republicans to task, indeed Mcain to task for the mess this country is in! We must SPEAK UP! In the streets, schools, churchs, supermarkets, gas stations, department stores, hardware stores, parks, and anywhere else that people gather. Tell them to open their eyes and read both web sites, compare Mcains opinions on energy, healthcare, foreign relations, WAR, and the environment against Obama's. And most importantly remind them that the Republicans have been in charge and have put this country in the mess we are in today! It's Time to speak up! I'm still here, the prozac helped!

I have decided to continue my active support, and donations, while still VERY DISSAPOINTED on OBAMA'S FISA vote. The thought of McSame getting the white house is just too scary! I Intend to keep on Sen. OBAMA about his FISA copout, and hold him to his pledge to make it right if elected! I'm sorry Barak, but I don't want you to spy on me illegally either! Anyway I am donating another $100.00 dollars, and I ordered some T-Shirts and other stuff from the store, I just hope it arrives BEFORE the election! I ordered sweat shirts in early fall and they arrived in the spring! I still try to sport them when I can. Don't misunderstand me, I still think BARAK should hold firm to his base, those of us who have been there since the beginning, but we MUST make sure we get BARAK, NOT MCSHAME! My hope is gone!

I thought that OBAMA was different, that he had guts, but I was wrong! I will still vote for him, but as the lesser of two evils! He took from me something more precious than anything else. HOPE! I had hope that he was different, how wrong I was. Wow, fooled again by a politician, how stupid of me. I thought I was smart enough now that I am 50 that I could tell the difference, WRONG! Where did the Senator who stood alone in opposing this insane war in Iraq? What turned him into just another politician who will say and do anything to get elected? I am a disabled american, white , male. Not particularly well educated, you know, the ones they said would not vote for OBAMA! Well I was a big supporter. I live on $768.00 a month, and I scrimped so that I could send him money as often as I could,$600.00 so far. But I wont be sending anymore, why should I, he has proven today that he no longer needs us or wants us! Yes I will still vote for him, while holding my nose. I'm used to it by now, it's how I have voted most of my life. Mr. Obama, if your still listening, CHANGE MY MIND, GIVE ME BACK THAT FEELING OF HOPE! But I don't know how you will do it. NO! To FISA Compromise!

Dear Senator, I have been a supporter since I saw you speak at the 2004 Democratic Convention, It was AMAZING! I am a disabled american, living on a fixed income, who desperately needs universal health care. I would have supported Senator Clinton, but I felt she had her opportunity to get us health care and blew it, so I joined your movement. I have given over $600.00 so far and am planning on giving as much as I can, BUT, I won't if you are going to give in to the Bush CRIME MACHINE! The FISA bill is wrong, and you know it! I read your statement, and listened to you words explaining why you support the current bill, and I almost fell for it! I even wrote a post about it in the comment section, but the more I read on this bill the worse it gets! If you support this then you will lose a lot of dedicated believers, and I will probably be one of them! The Bush administration has been breaking the law left and right under the guise of "Protecting our freedom", there is no freedom without the laws to protect them! Think about this again before you go and vote tomorrow, ask yourself if this is the kind of bill that you want your children, and grandchildren to live under. Then Pray, with all your heart, and hopefully you will come to your senses and understand that this is not compromise, it is defeat! Defeat of our constitution, our Rights, and everything we hold dear. People ask me if I would rather have Mcain? NO, but I don't want a leader who will not take a stand and hold it! I would rather lose the election, than lose hope! Please reconsider your opinion, and do the right thing! Our country, our children, your children are worth it and depend on you to do so! The "Enron Loophole"

Dear Friends, I am writing today about the High price of oil and it's connection to Future's trading, and the Enron Loophole. I have contacted my Congressman and Senator's, (all Republican!), about this discusting Manipulation of the price of oil, and it's effect on this country and indeed the world! The Enron Loophole has been in place since 2000, and allowed Enron to manipulate the cost of energy resulting in the soaring price of energy and the blackouts in California. It has been brought up repeatedly in the House and Senate, and repeatedly protected by the Republicans! John Mcain's lead advisors are all connected with this as well! It is too long and complicated for me to try and describe to you, however, it has been discussed in the senate and house REPEATEDLY. In the latest energy bill that the House tried to pass it was to be closed, but it was defeated by 8 votes! In hearings recently in the House, top oil annalists stated that if this loophole was removed along with other changes to the Future's market that the price of a barrel of oil would drop by 30 to 50%! It is the REPUBLICAN'S who have repeatedly blocked every attempt. Indeed the president stated that if that energy bill had passed he would veto it! Please look up this subject on the internet, learn as much as you can, and then tell everyone you know! If we are looking for a way to convince people even further that the Republican's are not working in our interests, this is certainly another instance! I have gotten this information through reading our local newspaper, and it has been covered by CNN, MSNBC, and last night on Kieth Obermann's show. Check it out, don't just take my word on this, and spread the message! One more thing, drilling off the coast's, or in the arctic wildlife preserve would not change a thing because it would also be subject to the same prices caused by trading on the Future's market and " THE ENRON LOOPHOLE"! On to the Election!

Dear friends, I was away on vacation when OBAMA won the primary, but luckily was able to see his amazing speech. He is soooo elegant with his words, and wise beyond his years! Now the hardest work begins, we must convince Hillary's supporters to vote for Barack, and as many others as possible. I know I'm ready, I tell anyone who will listen why I support him. I am donating as much as I can possibly afford, and I never leave the house without an OBAMA button or T-shirt on! I want people to know I support him, and look forward to anyone asking me why. I always start by highlighting his judgement in opposing this tragic war in Iraq, his willingness to forgo the common route for lawyers to follow wealth and to instead work for equality, and always encourage people to compare his thoughts on Americas future compared to Mcain's! I am a simple man with barely a high school diploma, but I have 50 year's of life's experience and a degree from the school of hard knocks! Hopefully it is helping his cause. I pray for him daily to all the Gods of the universe,( I could never choose just one religion ;-) ), YES WE CAN, YES WE WILL! GO OBAMA GO! Peace&Love... Carl

Thank you, all of you! You help me rebuild my spirit, and that is very precious. In reading all those comments,( I didn't think that many watched;-)), I realised as one said, we have already won! Whenever this many people, including ALL Obama supporters, come together and believe in a better world, were we all live as one, then we have already won. I too remember when they murdered my hero , Dr. Martin Luther King, Something in me died as well! And that was HOPE! And I think thats why it seems so personal, because OBAMA after all those years, rekindled that spark of HOPE! And all of you have taught me that the HOPE never died, it was always there. Why are all my WHITE brothers and sisters still bigoted?

I am a 50 year old white man who barely made it out of High School, much less College. But all I hear the last couple of days is that white people like me are afraid of Obama! WHY? Is it blatant bigotry, or worse , people who think they are not bigots, but are! Rev Wright would not be an issue if Barak were white, and neither would the Bitter remark, It drives me crazy, and makes me ashamed of being white. Over half the controversies over Obama would disapear if he was white. I thought as a country we had finally moved another step, but it appears to be a step back words. And the worst offender BILL CLINTON, I am so ashamed of him. And his wife Hillary is no better. Oh aren't they subtle, a word here, a reference there, and then "we didn't do anything, if you can't stand the heat stay out of the kitchen", which I found to be an interesting remark from Hillary! Were was the media hype over that remark, I could here it now. But then again she's white! I hope this country will ignor their bigotry and vote for the best candidate, and I believe with all my soul that candidate is BARAK OBAMA! God help us, YES WE CAN,YES WE WILL!... I know Checks, and cash will be acceptable, but unless the campaign has a way of accepting credit card donations, we will not be able to run cc donations thru the bar- sorry! I find it amazing that Mcsame, and Hillary don't get it, WE ARE BITTER! Bitter that Education, Health Care, The Economy, The Ecology, Rising Oil Prices, No Real Investment In Alternative Energy Sources, A NEVER ENDING WAR BASED ON A LIE, Thousands of Soldiers And Innocent Civilians Killed for NOTHING, No Bid Contracts,Osama Bin Laden Still On The Lose, Tax Breaks To the Richest Among Us,NO MONEY FOR DOMESTIC CRISES EXCEPT BAILING OUT THE 5TH LARGEST INVESTMENT HOUSE WHILE NOTHING FOR THE HOME OWNER and they are surprised that OBAMA says we are Bitter? The Fighting Must Stop!

I am writing John Dean, and asking him to put pressure on the Clinton Campaign to end this "scorched earth policy" they are on. It is bad for the party and must not continue. I am not calling on Senator Clinton to drop out, that is up to her. But to belittle Senator Obama and continue to degrade him in every aspect is doing nothing for our party, and could cost us the Election. This November's election is the Democrat's to lose, but it will be a tough run! That is not even considering the possible corruption that still may be present in our Electoral system! I encourage the Obama campaign, and their supporter's to maintain their upbeat and positive campaign. Focussing on the differing views on the issues and Senator Obama's excellent judgement as witnessed not only on Iraq, but many other very important problems facing our country. I hope many other Obama supporters will join me in contacting JOHN DEAN, head of the DEMOCRATIC party, and tell him your feelings on this as well. For the sake of the party, and more importantly our country, this Fighting Must Stop! Thanks ... Carl, YES WE CAN!

Great speech today, can't wait for the next 2!

Well I thought the speech today was really very good. one of his best! It was interesting to watch and think about all the "meetings of the club" i had been subjected to. If you are a white man you know what I am talking about. It starts with some guy looking around to make sure it's only us white guys around, and then they start with their racist, or sexist, or homophobic remarks. I ran into a lot of that when I worked for the city of Cincinnati from 1983-1990, in their Safety Dept.. I would be in the fire houses or police stations and you would see someone looking around to see if it was just us "white guys". The comments I heard come out of there mouthes were extremely offensive. I didn't say anything at first, I needed that job. But after I felt brave enough I started telling the"boy's" that I did not want to be a "member" of "the club" and that they should keep such hate speech to themselves. After that I had to be careful not to be alone in some of those stations, I was a traiter, a n@#$%&* lover! I was stunned to see Cincinnati Police and Firemen, in uniform, talking about the citizens they served in such degrading and hateful ways. Thats why in 2001 when the riots broke out in downtown Cincinnati, I was not at all suprized. It is time we have this frank National discussion, and I am glad that Obama is raising it. I have to say I understood and did not take offense at Obama's pastor's remarks, I have to say that I agreed with some, others comments may have been a little over the top. My father was a good man, but up until he died at the age of 98 two years ago, he still referred to African American's as "Colored people", just old sayings from old men who didn't quite get it. I hope Obama wins ,I think that this country deserves an intelligent, progressive thinker in the white house, unbeholden to special interests, and a person with the credentials to finally really take on the issue of race/gender/orientation relations in this country, and hopefully unite us in ways we could only dream about a few short years ago!
