It is Thursday and 5 days to go. Watching the updates on the early voting. It is showing the students and young people and those newly registered are not getting to the polls yet.
On Neighbor to Neighbor, I am calling the under 20 year old folks first. Yes, I am mostly getting the answering machine or students away at college. Hope all these young people's enthusiasm reverts into voting by November 4.
I am like your Grandmother and the furture is in your hands. It is your future. Get involved NOW. Don't waste yourself by not voting.
Close your eyes, listen to the Obama songs on You Tube and get to the polls.
Barack needs your vorte and so does America.
ROCK THE VOTE
Listen
Was watching the news and heard about you taking time off to be with your grandmother who is ailing.
It shows once again you have your priorities straight in being by her side. I know many of us will keep you
all in their thoughts and prayers. You have made her proud and set a great example for all of us.
She instilled such strong values in you. Our best from all your supporters. We will keep the DREAM alive.
Has anyone else had the problem of not being able to view ALL the blog posting pages written by supporters.
The page keeps giving me the message that it is "temp under maintenance". Also today with the N2N (walk lists and phone lists) these are down.
Blog postings have been down for me all through the Democratic Convention. Not being able to get communication.
Anybody know what is up? Is it just my web? Thank you for your help..
Boy, my day started out at 9:00 a.m. getting ready in my green shirt (volunteers wear green), with my
Obama buttons and comfortable shoes. Drive to the rally in my Obama for President bill board car. On to
the the rally at Nissan Pavillian to volunteer at 11:45 a.m. Break out into teams, get instructions, sworn in as
a Obama staff person for the day and WAIT in the heat. Lots of water and ice. OK we are going through
security at 2:00 p.m. Gates open at 2:30 p.m. and the Fired Up and Ready to Go supporters start coming in.
Orderly filling in the designated seats from 2:30 p.m. to the start of the 6:00 p.m. Oh, my aching feet.
Gov Kaine speaks, Senator Webb introduces, and finally Barack speaks. The 10,000 crowd fires up with
excitement. Everyone hanging on every word of Barack's speech. More people trying to get as close as they
can to the stage. To be within his zone. All people standing on their feet for the 45 minute speech,
cheering. Barack speaks from the heart, sheds his suit jacket....hot, hot, hot President nominee. Let's turn
Virginia blue. Barack winds us up, and we are fired up to go forward. Does it have to end. The end is near
and we are ready to go home. Till next time, will continue to be involved in the campaign. Since last year,
he has had this white, Catholic, older woman's vote. The kind of voters the media says is difficult to come
by. I do not understand why.
Going to my car, long day, reflecting, tired and satisfied that I came to see Barack in person. TV will never
match it. Driving home, I call my daughter in California and tell her what I have been up to today. How I
feel good to support someone I have hope in for my daughter and four grandchildren.....my legacy......the
future generation we all talk about.
Get home at 9:30 p.m. to hug my Republican husband and tell him I missed him.
I will have to try the Obama "pound hug" next time.
To support Senator Ted Kennedy and his family, you can go to TedKennedy.com and express your wishes for his health.
I think Barack would like us to do this too.
May Barack win big tonight in Oregon and Kentucky. Go get them fellow Americans.
I am writing to recommend Barack Obama not be interviewed by Bill O'Reilly. Mr. O'Reilly has been taunting Barack to get him on his show. I would not give Mr. O'Reilly the benefit of Barack's time.
We know Barack and do not have to hear him on the O'Reilly television or radio show.
Mr. Gibbs, Communication Director, you are a very professional, articulate, and supporter to Barack but please the O'Reilly show is a "pinhead".
Peace and world harmony, not fear President Bush.
Barack has said he would only discuss with Iran once certain conditions were met. Barack would not jeopardize our safety.
President Carter has said he was never told not to meet with Hammas by anyone from the White House. Is the Bush Administration changing their mine.....
Howard Dean and Senator Pelosi have their right to opinions.
Today, we now have the media doing pundit discussion how HLC will bow out gracefully. The media is saying the Democratic Party and Hillary may settle for HLC as the VEEP candidate.
Barack , stand strong, you can win the general election with your own choice for the Vice-President candidate. We know you can bring the country together. You already have the older white Catholic working class voter.
I am an older, Catholic, middle-income retiree and have been supporting and working for you since August of last with the Petition Drive for Virginia.
HLC does not have what we need.
I believe and keep HOPE alive that you will make the right decision for America.
Obama for America......Now More Then Ever
Thank you to all the hard working volunteers and Obama staff who got us the big win in North Carolina and the close margin in Indiana. It is through your self-sacrafice the wins are coming more and more. On to the final states and HOPE for all wins to Barack.
Obama for America----Now More Then Ever
I have been watching the CNN ticker as the Guam results have been coming in this evening. I think it is great Barack won Guam. By 7 votes is so close. It causes me to wonder that at 75% of the vote in and before this, Barack was always 10% ahead. Something seems just not right. I do not want to accuse any one of anything. We will take the win!
I also heard that in the exit polls for the early votes in Northern Indiana getting more of these votes from a Indiana newspaper.
Will Hillary ever drop out?
We will support Barack till in the White House.
I just read on the internet news, about Barack getting negative press from Mr. Smalley for not attending the Forum this weekend where numerous dignitaries will participate. Barack wrote a very considerate RSVP saying he could not attend because of his emphasis on campaigning for the March 4 primaries. This is a very significant campaign push for Barack's nomination. Mr. Smalley said he was disappointed in Barack's decision. Mr. Smalley was getting threats, his mother too, and other family members. I want to believe that no suuporter would go to this extreme. And that Mr. Smalley being a popular TV interviewer would not lie. This is of concern to me when there is any negative comments or press towards Barack. As Barack would say, Obama is a fellow "brother" to my family.
Barack can only be in one place at one time per day. I am sure he would like to have more moments at home with Michelle and daughters too. I would like to have some moments with him during his rallies too. Barack is one man, taking a stand on issues only he can promise to deliver. I believe in him and will always look at his good judgement, that is why I supporting him for President.
It is a disgrace MSNBC is giving Hillary so much media air time tonight. MSNBC is being so civil with her when all the candidates signed an agreement they would not campaign in Florida. And no delegates from Florida and Michigan count towards the Presidential selection. Yet, victory celebrations, the personal interview, and her congress people introducing her and supporting the "fake" win!
Americans can see through her lieing again and again. Fear is her way and we know
Obama's is hope, belief, honesty and the truth.
Go Obama in every state on Super Tueasday.
Speak for us Barack at the California Debate Thursday........we will watch and cheer with PRIDE!
.
Dear Nevada Voters:
I live in Virginia and have supported Barack Obama for President since the beginning of his campaign. My gratitude is to the Service Employees and Culinerary Workers Unions who stood up to endorse Barack for President. I know you made the best decision and he will bring about the vision and change we so despartely need in Washington. We do not need eight more years of the Clinton administration. Barack will act and take action where needed to make us a better country in the world. He will support the middle income families and ensure our prosperity from Day One. I Believe he can bring peace through diplomacy and not the threat of war and fear.
Please take the time at 11:00 on Saturday to caucus for Barack Obama for President. I know it may be a sacrifice for you in time off, but you will forever change the way democracy works. Especially this election year.
We are all one and I will be indebted to you for your support and pledge for Barack.
Obama for America
Sincerely,
Claudia Robert-Saavedra
In watching the Republican Debate tonight, it is further evidence of why I am so passionate for Barack Obama to be the next President of the United States. Right now, the Republicans need to use Barack's diplomacy, his stance in handling Iraq and Iran, the immigration issue, gaining a stronger international stance, economy and taxes. Keep standing strong on your issues and know we believe in Change for all of us. We need you Barack!
Also, would you please give the debates back to the League of Women. The cable media moderators, audience, and 5000 questions that never got used is too much for me. The Republicans had too much discourse and meanness against each other tonight.
I will be at the DNC Meeting this Friday listening to you with Pride. OBAMA for America!
I just read the internet "In the News" update where Barack decried the negative e-mails that are going around on the internet. So glad Barack is speaking up and confronting any detractions from his campaign.
I had received both "whisper" e-mails myself. We can not change people's perceptions, but we can speak up. Our hope and dream for a better nation with Barack as President will convince all non-believers. That he represents what the country needs and the effective diplomacy needed internationally.
Everyone should read Barack's bio books. And the new one out by the Chicago reporter is great to get a true understanding of Barack, his father, mother, sisters, and grandparents.
You go Obama and let nothing stop you.
